"Overall, was very disappointed in Bob's. The steak was certainly nothing special, and certainly not for the price. Comparable to Outback. Cheesecake and breading pudding we had for dessert were both so-so. Service was "relaxed"? We hardly ever saw our server. And the noise level reminded us of a family-oriented chain restaurant. VERY loud. Will not go back, will try other high end steakhouses first."

"Excellent steaks as always. Bob's has the best steaks in Dallas, and I've been to all the notable prime steakhouses in town. Appetizers and deserts are not as good, but this is a steakhouse. If you want a fancy salad and desert, go somewhere else. But if you want the best prime steaks cooked to perfection, go to Bob's."

"The food was great! The service was not so good... We had to ask and wait to get our glasses re-filled and she forgot to bring my son his dessert. We were sat near the bar and it was very loud. For the price, I expected the service to be ALOT better! Maybe they should consider training their staff better. I dont know if we will go back to this location. I may consider trying the Ft Worth location next time."

"Decor is quite dated but nice. Dark Woods and white linen tables. Steaks are not over seasoned so you can enjoy the prime aged beef. Filet was cooked perfect med rare and tasted great, buttery and delicious. Salads are great, the blue cheese with pecans was very good. Wine list was good. I will be returning."

"Even with a reservation be prepared to wait 35-45 minutes to get seated. The food is alright, but definately does not live up to their reputation. Also, they like to nickel and dime you---- it felt you were at McDonald's or something (for example when I ordered my appetizer the waitress said "Would you like to get a second crab cake for an extra $13.00?") and this continued with everything that I ordered. Last, the TVs in the dining room need to go. Part of the pleasure about dining out is enjoying the food. A truly good restaurant will filter out distractions so that all the focus is placed on the food and your experience enjoying it. Perhaps they need the distractions so that you don't realize you should have gone somewhere else."

"Was disappointed. My filet was charred. It was suppose to be medium. The food was extremely too hot. Burnt my tongue and mouth on the steak and potatoes. Ordered crem brûlée it was more like jello instead of custard or pudding. The staff was nice. Was never greeted by a manager of any sort. I probably would never go back."

"I took two fellows from southern Africa. Both are professional hunters in the Republic of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia and . I was a little hesitant when they ordered the lamb, but both were most complimentary with the quality, portion and preparation. I, as I've had before, had a filet.

I guess my bill was a little less than $350 including tip since we had drinks, wine and desserts, but it was money well spent.

I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to a return."

"We have been to Bob's several times and have always enjoyed the experience. On our last visit, we were disappointed. The atmosphere was loud, with dressed down sports fans shouting constantly at the game being shown, at each other and at other patrons. Unfortunately, as a consequence we were unable to carry on a conversation without also shouting at each other. My filet, while properly cooked, had ZERO grill flavor and I had to salt it heartily to be able to eat it. Our companion's steak was overcooked. Service was efficient but the server devoid of personality or warmth. For the amount of money Bob's charges, NOT worth it. Food at Plano location seems better."

"New Years is a difficult night to eat out. Typically restaurants are overbooked with long waits and loud crowds with average food and marginal service. Bob's really handled the night well. "We went for dinner with friends on New Year's Eve. We were seated right away which was great. The bar/waiting area was super crowded, so we were glad we did not have to wait. Our steaks were awesome and perfectly cooked. Hot, juicy, and flavorful. No one left even a bite on their plate. For dessert we split the banana bread pudding. It was warm and delicious. A little crust on the outside and moist on the inside. The icecream topping was so creamy and smooth. It put it over the top!"

"The service was horrific. I'm sure Melissa would have rather been somewhere else than working on NYE, but that is no excuse. From the start her attitude was less than desirable. We found our glasses empty for long periods of time and our empty plates sat on our table for 15 minutes. In addition we were never shown a desert menu. Dallas has to many nice restaurants to waste your money at this one."

"steak was good but not spectacular....the waitress seemed annoyed to wait on us..kinda strange. my wife ordered shrimp which was tasty but the waitress said they didn't carry tartar sauce so that was disappointing. the bread was warm and toasty and the pickles and bell peppers were surprisingly good.overall not bad but for the money i think i may try some other local spots for steak. thanks"

"The food was great - my steak was perfect (generally I have to return steak because it is runny)atmosphere loud. My husband and I were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Rather than taking that into consideration we were put between a family and 2 loud men. Not a romantic dinner place for sure. Dress code on line says business casual however there was one person with jeans and a biker T-shirt on and a couple of others in jeans and shirtails hanging out. Kendra our server was nice."

"Absolutely the best steak and best service I have had in Dallas. Our wiatress Karen was superb! Tender and juicey, the carrot was all that it was talked up to be and the potatoes and gravey were beyond words. Will definatley return for another fine nite of dinning."

"It was our 21 st. marriage anniversity and it was a great experience. The boned-in rib eye had to have been the best steak that we have ever put in our mouths. We will deffiantly return. We had a very memorable evening at Bob's."

"Our place to celebrate special occasions. The Pecan/romaihne/blue cheese salad is wonderful. We went to Saltgrass recently -- the recent week we went, our steaks were tough. When the waitress asked how was the meal, we replied, "It's not Bob's.""
