"Food excellent & very consistent. Being that it was a clear sunny day the view was fantastic. My request for seating with no or minimum stairs was followed through. The server was very attentive, being that we had an elderly person with us.....I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone being a local resident or tourist.....you won't be disappointed..."

"We booked this as a birthday dinner for two, the view is worth the drive to the Salmon house. The food was exceptional I had the lobster pasta with candied salmon and chirizo sausage. My GF had the trio grill (halibut, salmon and prawns). All the food was well cooked and seasoned beautifully. Even though it was quite busy the staff served us quickly but without rushing us.

"This past weekend I took my uncle from out of town (Greece) here for his bday. I hadn't been here in 10 years and the food was as good as I remember it . I had the sable fish with scallops and prawns, my dad and uncle both had the salmon, halibut and prawns for our main courses. Both dishes were full of flavour and delicious. I would go again any time."

"Too little fish. Bad presentation of food, anyone at home could have arranged fish balancing over mash potatoes. Pieces of fish served were small. Was not served a nice piece of halibut as it was small but it was very tasty. The sockeye salmon was close to being dry. All seafood was fresh and the shrimp was nice. The Bison Carpaccio, I don't know why it was not cold. The Molten Lava Chocolate cake was TINY!!! There was hardly any molten chocolate that oozes out of the cake. ICe cream and the candied orange garnish was delicious. I did not send anything back coz I had guest and was too distracted by the view. Service was excellent."

"The service and the view was excellent. Their so called signature dish; alder planked salmon whad by four of our party of eight was rather dry and unassuming in taste. The deserts were mediocre. The special of hallibut was good. To watch the sun set over the city, reflecting brightly back and the ribbons of light over the ocean made the trip worthwhile."

"I had two guests from overseas and Salmon House on the Hill was a good choice to bring the guests to. The view from the restaurant overlooks the wonderful view of Metro Vancouver area. The reflection of sunset off the windows of office buildings in downtown Vancouver made the scenery even more magnificent. The menus offer good selections of seafood and the portion of each plate is just right."

"Our little 95th birthday celebration for Mom was perfect! Our server was attentitive and patient. The food was fabulous - even for our very fussy senior guests. We brought our own birthday cake and the chef even added a spot of carmelized whipped cream to the beautifully prepared plates. We will certainly go the Salmon House again - we don't need a special occasion to enjoy such a great spot. A real gem on the North Shore."

"We went for Mothers Day dinner. We had a group of 9 - aged 3 to 73. The service, food and ambiance were excellent. It is a very kid friendly restaurant which is rare on the North Shore. Also a wonderful time for the adults in the group. It is always a treat to go to the Salmon House. Look forward to our next visit."

"Beautiful view of Vancouver even on a cloudy evening. Cleared up after a bit. Meal was good but would not say it was worth the price. Main meal came before we even had a chance to taste the bread or even the wine. Did not order an appetizer but it was still very fast. Seemed odd in the setting of a nice restaurant to be rushed through our meal. Did not make us want to stay for coffee and dessert!!!"

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Salmon House. It had been many years since we had been there. The food was excellent (other than my prawns being over grilled and dry) and everything was going great until the restaurant got busier and our waiter seemed to be only one of two in the whole place and as a result we had to wait unacceptable time for everything after our main course."

"This was our fist visit. We were originally going to go to another, nearby, establishment but switched to The Salmon House because the menu was more appealing. Both offer marvellous views of English Bay, Stanley park, Lions Gate bridge and Mount Baker.

"Overall a truly lovely experience. A friendly greeting at the door, a beautiful view of the city even though we weren't at a window, the service was absolutley awesome, the menu was varied and well described and our meals were delicious. "Friendly server. Had a 6pm reservation. Had a kids menu and coloring. Food came out fast but then was neglected after that. No one cleared the appetizer plates. We waited for a good 30 minutes after finishing dinner before dessert came out. Server was bustling between all her tables when it got busier and we ended up being there for over 2 hours. View is amazing. Food is good."

"We were visiting Vancouver with my 87 year old father. He and my mom had been to the Salmon House numerous times over the years. She has since passed away and we wanted to bring my dad back for the memories. Everything about our visit was amazing. My nephew, who is in a wheelchair, was also with us so we were seated at a window seat in a wheelchair accessible room. From the first moment we were treated beautifully. Attentive yet not intrusive staff. The food was amazing as was the view....we will be back to continue on a family tradition!!"

"A lovely brunch. The menu had the usual favourites with unique twists. All the dishes were freshly prepared and delivered hot and delicious. Our server sensed the group wanted to visit over a leisurely brunch and kept the tea and coffee coming and never hurried us. As usual, the Salmon House did not disappoint."

"We've been going to the Salmon House for over 30 years, and even when we lived outside of Vancouver we'd make sure to make a stop at this restaurant when we were in town.
