The 2nd Ave Grill is a casual dining steakhouse that is located at the very core of Saskatoon’s downtown in the Scotia Centre, and has become the eatery of choice for afternoon power lunches, late evening and pre-theatre dining. "I recently took out a client to this restaurant. The food was really good, the dining room had a great vibe. It was a little noisy to talk. I think it's a nice place to take a spouse or a date but not the best place to conduct a business dinner."

"Hi,
Overall I was semi-satisfied with our experience.
Just a few reminders: take the complete tables order, not divide into two as half the group had to wait for the other half, asking for drinks or water took an extra too long to receive them, organizing of the tables (we had a large group and were seated at 2 tables, not one, very disappointing), lastly we got engaged at your resturant and we were not offered a congratulations or even a complimentary drink or dessert."

"I had a great evening out at the 2nd Avenue Grill! The service was very prompt and friendly! The food was delicious, especially the asiago mashed potatoes, in my opinion! The steak was also a hit at our table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people for a romantic date or supper with friends/family."

"Unfortunately, this visit to 2nd Avenue Grill was not as good as we expected. We were disappointed that one of their appetizers was no longer available for that evening, the Ahi Tuna, and when we inquired about the "Giant Sea Scallops" the waitress showed us that they were small and regular, not giant sea scallops. Then we received our salads. After about 2 minutes with our salads and some conversation, the waitress brought out our entrees. She said the kitchen was fast. This is where we were very disappointed. We were out for a nice, special occasion meal and wanted to take our time, now however, we had to either eat our salads as fast as we could or have cold entrees. Needless to say, neither option was what we were paying for."

"Overall the experience was okay. I was very disappointed that I did not get the meal that I had ordered. The server had ordered the wrong dish and then when I asked to have the correct meal made, he said that it would take at least a half an hour and I should just eat what was brought to me. He said that he would get the meal taken off of the bill but then never did, and didn't even offer us dessert on the house. Not very classy for such a "classy" establishment. lol!! Funny thing is that this exact same thing happened the last time that we ate at this restaurant and I had to convince my fiance that we should give it another try. Needless to say, we will NEVER go back again and would never recommend this place to a friend."

"A decent place for a standard meal. The venue could use a update and refresh. It felt like there was nothing particularly special, unique, or enticing on the menu. The ambiance is nice, but it is becoming dated and is poorly lit in some areas. I have had good food here in the past but the the quality of the meal I had most recently could have been better. Service was very attentive and pleasant and made the evening enjoyable. I'll be back again to give it another try."
