"Very unique setting (in an old match factory). The food is very good; the menu appears limited but there are always multiple specials. Very enjoyable place for dinner."

"The food was really good. the only slight downfall was the host and our server. they both seemed to give the impression that they were confused which was somewhat odd. Our server was very nice, but was not always on top of things. Besides that, everything else was very good."

"Went here to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed. The staff was kind enough to put a candle in a delicious chocolate moose as a surprise for the other half. Definitely a must go. Possibly one of the best places to eat in Mentor."

"When I took the first taste of the coffee I instantly knew we had made the correct choice. We ordered appetizers and you took the time to discuss the history of the building and made sure every detail of our dinner experience was taken care of Angela, our server, perfectly balanced knowledge and servive in a friendly manner. Then the food began to arrive.Chicken Masala that was perfect and a prime rib tomahawk chop that looked too good to eat. From across the table the prime rib looked like heaven on a plate. The food not only looked good but tasted phenomenal. It was greatly appreciated when you stopped by the table to ensure the dinner was perfect. It was perfect, in every way. We were full from the main course but the desert...FABULOUS"

"The food was good but overpriced. Agree with other reviews that salad should be part of the meal not as pricey an add-on as it is. My wife's entree had a broth but she was only provided a fork. The waitress wasn't aware that a spoon would be needed so one wasn't provided. She ordered the pie for dessert. While it had great taste the crust was inedible. When we mentioned it to the waitress, the response was basically "Oh well" nothing more. Also, the volume in a glass of wine is dependent upon your relationship to the head chef/owner. We received a 1/3 "glass" of wine while another couple received 3/4 glasses."

"Impressed! Entertained a friend new to the area from Chicago. We agreed the food was as good as we've had in the city and the crab cakes were posibly the best we've ever had. I heard of Match Works at a bridal show a few weeks ago and am planing to host my Sons rehearsal dinner here in the fall. I am certain we will be back often and we are excited to share this local secret with our friends. Loved the crab cakes, sweetbread & pork belly salad, the croutons on the house salad and potato crusted cod with shrimp risotto was awesome! Can't wait to try more from this eclectic menu!"
