Those seeking a casual meal or beverage can find just that at Wickets Bistro, where Chef Cal Stamenov also presides. Guests can enjoy such savory bistro classics as Sonoma Chicken, Steak Frites and a range of fresh seafood. A feeling of intimacy is accentuated by photographs and mementos of Lodge creator, Holland native, Bernardus Pon’s Olympic and racecar driving feats. Al fresco dining takes place under a trellis on a patio that looks out on the resort’s manicured croquet lawn, with an outdoor fireplace for cooler weather. A full bar features live jazz on selected evenings.

"No words could convey the ultimate pleasure which is dining at Wickets. I have just returned from eating and drinking my way down the California coast with my family in honor of our parents' 50th anniversary and Wickets is the only place that we returned to for a second meal, our first had been so spectacular. The service was perfect, the setting mellow and lovely, and the food was the pinnacle of delicious. In two meals, five people had a total of perhaps 18 different dishes and every one is among the best of our ten day trip--and we ate at some of California's best. Preparations are fresh, creative, perfectly executed and so memorable as to nearly obscure all other meals! Bernardus wines were terrific. A truly fabulous experience."

"The menu is only modest in size, but more than makes up for that in its quality. We all had wonderful meals, inventive and taste-filled and well presented. The hostess (Melanie) was particularly helpful in accommodating us. While we dined on a Feb evening, there is an outdoor extension area that I am sure is very popular in much of the warmer seasons (there were a few hardy souls out there too). Casual elegance would be our summary of Wickets."

"We were disappointed that the main dining room waas closed for renovations:( That is where we really wanted to eat, so Wickets was our 2nd choice. Mushroom soup is awesome, mushroom risotto delicious, but the mushroom ravioli didn't need lettuce on top of it and the raviolis were way too mini. Service was great and friendly and Good experience, but disappointing.."

"I had been looking forward to this all week...how disappointed we were! The service was par at best and the food was served cool to the touch and bland. Always had to ask for drinks, waters, etc. Unfortunately we won't be going back."
