"Our recent visit to Harvest was great. It was my husband's birthday and he picked Harvest. The food was delicious as usual. I had the Gnocchi - outstanding. We both had the special salad with strawberry dressing, dried strawberries and goat cheese. Not a speck was left. My husband and his mother both had the veggie turnover and really liked them. A large group came in while we were dining and the service was still great throughout the evening. Highly recommend Harvest."

"This was our first trip to Harvest and we loved being able to eat locally-grown food. The owner, Ivor, stopped at our table and talked about the farmers (including himself) and pointed out that the huge photos on the walls were of local farmers. Food was delicious--interesting combinations of flavors. Service absolutely excellent--water constantly being refilled (with local water I assume). Somewhat noisy due to a large party of gabby females nearby. Unusual cocktails. Totally recommend Brazilian Ginger (made with cachaca). Would definitely go there again."

"They food was great, but the drinks were better... We arrived early, so decided to have a drink at the bar. The bartender was very engaging, and made a couple of the most unique and tasty cocktails I can recall ever having."

"Love Harvest! Drinks - the Devereaux (bourbon & muddled strawberries) and Harvest Julep (w/ raspberry syrup), both were Yummy. appetizer - the daily bread was delish; made w/ Bacon!!! Entree - Fried Chicken w/ a hoe cake & cream sauce - as good as everyone says! Had to get a side of the pickled jalapeño ' acon grits. For Dessert- chocolate cake layered w/ mousse & topped w/ ganache; served w/ a necessary cup of coffee.
All in all, an excellent meal w/ excellent service. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
** We to lunch there on Oaks Day & got the special and it was the BEST thing I have eaten there. A chive biscuit with country ham & red eye gravy over cheese grits! It was phenomenal! You Must Try It!!!"

"Our visit on Mother's Day was a gastronomic feast. A wonderful explosion of flavors (Bloody Mary, Yum!), an incredible Baked Goodness (blueberry donuts) and three flavorful entrees made for a memorable experience. We will be back.......again and again."

"Some intersting cocktails. Long burborn and rye list (that we did not try) Gnocchi was wonderful. Salad was very flavorful. Entree's were okay. Service was terrible. Waitress had too many tables so she came by very infrequently. Manager walked around and didn't help her."

"We had a reservation for 6 people at 10pm. At 7:30 I recieved a call from the restaurant letting me know that other parties had cancelled, so if we wanted to come in earlier there would be a table. I explained to the hostess that we were driving in from Chicago and wouldn't be able to come in much earlier, but we would try. We got to the restaurant at 10:05, after spending several minutes looking for street parking, the hostess told us that the kitchen had closed at 10. We told her we had a 10pm reservation, and her response (in a very haughty tone) was that if we had been on time, we would have been seated. We also looked Harvest up online, and their website says they close at 10pm - but they take 10pm reservations?"

"My fiancé and I first had Harvest because they had catered a friends wedding. The food was amazing, so we decided our next night out we would go for dinner. Of course the holidays got in the way and work, but we finally made it a few months later and it has easily became one of our new favorite restaurants. The atmosphere was amazing, it was busy, yet peaceful and calm. The food sounded great, but it usually does. Once I got my entree (I had the steak and mashed butternut squash and a side of the jalapeño and bacon grits) and Oh My LANTA!!!! I was in food heaven. I also friend their Kentucky champagne--- it's a must if you love bourbon! 10 out of 10!"

"The open floor plan and low ceilings gave a cozy communal feel to the place and was inviting from the first. The pride for it's locally sourced fare was immediately apparent from all the pictures of their farmers hung in the wall. A bit too literal for me but it sure beats corporate art. The raw wood everywhere always adds warmth.
Our waitress was herself and knew what the place offered and knew what her opinion was on it which is always great.
The food was well presented (though the starter came on a board nearly as large as our 2 top. Pretty board but too long) and had good flavor combinations that spoke to the places they were sourced from.
I'd certainly recommend Harvest to another"

"We've stumbled on to Harvest and had a killer brunch there, followed by an incredible breakfast but the dinner was disappointing. Maybe it was my choices from the menu, but I was underwhelmed. I'll still go back for breakfast and brunch as that was a proven winner, but will hesitate to go back for dinner. Would also love it if there were more choices for we gluten-intolerant."

"The ambience is interesting sterile new and rustic old--love the thick wooden tables and the large harvest table near entrance.
Menu is not a standard "steak/dinner place." Focused on locally produced items, don't look for a drink with an orange slice! Nice wine list, unique coctail menu and selection of starters. Dinner: the turkey brown and the braised ribs entrees were excellent as was the bread pudding dessert. Dessert wasn't large, but was enough to share and cap off the meal. The only thing lacking was bread. Could be purchased, but was not a compliment to the meal."

"Good beer, wine and bourbon selection. Small menu but very interesting offerings.
Ordered the beer cheese/pretzel bread appetizer which was very good. The bread was hot and fresh.
My wife ordered the turkey burger and while I did not taste it, she said it was pretty good. She got full before finishing but continued to nibble on the pretzel bun.
I had the bbq plate. The jalapeno bacon grits were by far the highlight. The sausage was good also. I was not impressed with the chicken thigh. That was my first time eating a confit, it was somewhat dry and salty. The ribs were tasty, but the meal was served on a small plank of wood. I made a huge mess on what was otherwise a fine dining setting. I'll order something else next"

"This was our 3rd or 4th visit - we love the fact that everything is sourced from within a 80 mile radius - and the food has always been excellent, including this trip! Good beers on tap, good wine list, great service - and reasonably priced. May not be the best place to bring young kids - more of an "adult experience" - a good thing."

"The noise level is definitely better than it used to be but could still stand some improvement. Overall, though, excellent food and service. The menu is small, but a nice mix of tradition and creativity. Not cheap, but reasonable for the quality. We like the local sourcing and support for small farmers, too."

"We had another nice evening at Harvest - the food wasn't quite as good as our first experience. DH got a mixed drink that was much smaller than the same drink was 2 months ago, and the chef got the grits way too hot this evening. But all in all, Harvest is still a great restaurant with amazing, imaginative food. Our waitress was not as knowledgable and friendly as the server we had on a previous visit, but the hostess was sweet and accomodating."

"Food was ok. My husband enjoyed his steak, but my food was very, very salty and dessert was terrible. Waitress didn't even mention that I hardly touched my dinner and that we didn't eat our shared dessert. Overall not impressed. This restaurant is lacking. We won't be back."

"The food offered for Sunday brunch was excellent. The service however was slow, no attention to detail, had to ask for silverware, water glasses empty for long periods, waiter forgot requests and had to be reminded. Observed similar experience by those around us. Waiter friendly, took order, but food delivered by others, mostly without a word. I would try again because the food is so good, but if service found to be the same again, would not return. There was only two of us and we were there for an hour and a half."

"The service i received was perfect, but having worked in a restaurant myself, I was very disappointed to see a manager sitting in an empty table near the bar, on his cell phone, while guests were waiting to be seated (and enter of tables were available). That was poor service to the guests waiting and lacking assistance to the hostess seating the dining room. I expect more from such a high caliber place."

"We went to Harvest for a business dinner. The decor is rustic. Overall we had a great time. My pork was slightly over seasoned. The dinners who had the barbequed plate raved about the ribs. Prices are moderate and the bar had a big inventory of spirits. I will definitely go back."
