"We had a great dinner at Belgo!
Our only regret was finding out that some of the interesting courses on the board were only a lunch special - we'll have to revisit for lunch for sure.
The service was impeccable - we had lots of questions, and one of the steaks was not prepared to our desired level - it was replaced so quickly, we were shocked.
It's hard to choose one course to recommend as everything we ordered was so delicious.
Also - the wine recommendation was perfect to our taste (which is a little funny and in most placed we don't get such an apposite suggestion. We actually wrote down the name of that wine... it was that good.
We'll be back for sure!"

"The ambiance was good. The experience was good. The service was good. The waiter's attendance frequency wasn't perfect, but he was friendly, helpful, and certainly not annoying. My meal was fantastic. My friend's meal was not. Drinks are overpriced by about $2. Food is overpriced by about $4. Overall, I wasn't impressed... but I wasn't let down either. It was good. I may go again for the same meal, but only for a lunch... there are better dinner spots."

"Decent place. My wife and I were there on Valentines day so it was understandably busy. Still, the food was fairly mediocre for that type of restaurant. I had the lamb shank which was served lukewarm and was very bland. My wife had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin which was much better. Amusingly, after someone brought me water two servers had an argument about who's territory I was sitting in.
Good wine and beer list though. Great location. Probably would be better on a quieter night (giving the benefit of the doubt)."

"When we arrived for our dinner reservation, we were brought to the 2nd floor which seemed like the "pub" area. It took almost 10 minutes before the waiter even acknowledged us, when he came back, he got our drink orders and then left again. Once he returned he asked us if we had any questions with the menu, we said no assuming that he would immediately take our order, but instead he walked away. When he finally took our order, and we received our food, the quality was poor, my seafood was rubbery. The fries were really good but that's about it...We will not be returning."

Scampi tail substituted as lobster tail. Very expensive for the size of meal. Restaurant does not take Debit and there is no notification of this in the restaurant until the bill arrives. Backward considering the wide acceptance of debit at legitimate businesses."

"Belgo has great drinks. The food, is creative for pub fair but not well executed. We have the Beef Tartar which had an inconsistent texture, too much mustard, and was presented with a basket of french fries about 8 times as tall as the tartare. The fries were great. First world problems.
The Stroganoff was a salty, but otherwise wonderful. The Arctic Char was perfectly cooked.
It is fun to visit a place that has a Vesper (Bond's Martini) on the menu.
The decor is great and there is lots of room. I would not hesitate to book a large group there.
Overall, Belgo is good but overpriced. Next time I will skip the tartar and have a burger."

Pork tenderloin was dry and similar to something you would find in the frozen section of a grocery store. No salt & pepper on the table we had to wait for pepper which resulted in cold food. "We placed our order for food right at noon. We did not get our food until 12:50 after asking the waiter the status of our order. The presalad then came with the meal which was moderately warm.
The restaurant did discount the meal due to the server being on the ball but it was too slow and not that tasty."

"The food rarely disappoints, but I have had consistently poor or mediocre service at Belgo. It's unfortunate! It seems (actually everywhere I go) that when I order a water, it never comes.
Another thing that was off-putting was that the lights inside the restaurant were very bright for evening dining.
The food was great, though! Our steaks did not come with the sides that were listed on the menu - we got green beans instead of the asparagus that was listed - but everything was delicious. It was just weird how there was nothing said about it."

"Food seems like its trying to be creative, but falls a bit flat. We tried the calamari - awesome! - the red snapper, and the Arctic char. The snapper was very fishy and unfortunately it overpowered the cauliflower purée. The side of roasted endive would have been nicer with a bit more caramel flavour - it was still bitter, even though it was clearly roasted. The char was quite mild, and the coconut fried rice side dish could have used a bit more coconut. Veggies were crisp and nicely prepared. The beer and wine lists are extensive and exceptional - for a fun change try the Belgian Fruli beer, which is sweet and fruity enough to remind you of a cooler."

"I'd been to Belgo for lunch and was pleased with that, but I was a little surprised by the evening ambiance and was slightly disappointed since I was expecting a quiet dinner, but instead found myslef in a pre-night club atmosphere. it just wasn't what i had expected.
