"Enjoyed the lunch for two splitting a very generous Caesars salad and pizza. Excellent pizza crust. Also had grilled shrimp appetizer -- shrimp were good,accompanying potatoes and green beans were bland. Server was very pleasant and helped us get out quickly."

"Had the $30 fixed prix dinner. This was one great feast. Not only was it abundant, but it was delicious made from upscale ingredients and interesting combinations and flavors. Meal started with a couple of appetizers which actually consisted of about 6 offerings, including their fresh hand pulled mozzarella topped with pistachios, delicious lamb meatballs, some salads including a calamari with arugula, 3 different pastas, an artichoke lasagne, torn pasta and then a gnocchi in a very yummy meat sauce. Then 2 different very thin crust pizzas. One pizza with 3 different meats and one marguerite. I was amazed by the quality of the food. I forgot to mention 2 desserts arrived just when I thought we couldn't eat another bite. Friendly service."

"I'm always surprised when I read people ding these restaurants in malls--snobs! It's a great place to watch people. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful lunch (too much lunch, but that was our fault. I loved the tripe and the asparagus antipasti--the sausage sandwich and the pizza. Non-alcoholic drinks were really good. Should just have had wine, I was so full I hardly got any work done anyway. But that was my fault--if only they made the food taste, well, not so good...."

"Thin crust pizza! Like we had in Rome. Great salads. Appetizers are very small portions, but very tasty. Nice selection of wines and beer. Nice atmosphere, did not feel like we were in a shopping center. The Spumoni ice cream for dessert was the best I've had."

"Found Cupola per the article in SFGate. Wanted to try the “La Festa Di Tutte Le Feste”. Didn't know that everyone in the party has to order “La Festa Di Tutte Le Feste”. Didn't sit well with our 16 year old. The waiter was in a rush. Turns-out his shift was ending. He just wanted to take our order and book. Not cool. Eventually he just disappeared and we were left waiting for the courses to appear. Other servers eventually showed-up. But it ruined what was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day dinner for my wife. The food was so-so. Not worth the price."

"We enjoyed this restaurant a lot. Everything we had was good.: the grilled shrimp appetizer, the salads, the fried chicken and, of course, the pizza. I was not expecting to see fried chicken in an italian joint but it was crispy, flavorful and juicy. It was a pleasant surprise. The pizza is what they are know for and it was very good. We the margarita. It had a delicious sauce, nice balance of flavors and best of all, a wonderful thin crust with the right amount of chew."

"...the hostess was very attentive, sat me ahead of my guests arrival and recommended a wonderful appetizer. Once my guests arrived, it was difficult to locate our waiter to take our order and then we waited a long time for our order to arrive. Once our order arrived, things were wrong on the order and we couldn't find the waiter to address the issue. The food was tasty and the ambiance nice for a weekend lunch get together, but I can't give more than 3 stars due to the service."

"There were 3 of us & we all had the $30 feast. It was great!! We would all recommend Cupola & are looking forward to going back again. The feast is a great value with so many delicious dishes. One person is a vegetarian, so most of the dishes were accommodating to her preference & only 3 dishes had meat...but it wasn't missed at all. Everything was really yummy. The waitress was very nice & not intrusive, but very present."

"We had the Feast -- it was too much food but we couldn't resist and managed all but one slice of pizza. It seemed loud but there was actually no problem hearing each other. The chairs looked uncomfortable but were not at all, and they moved easily to adjust position. It was a great opportunity to sample a many dishes without committing to a full order or having to make many visits. We immediately identified the dishes we'll order first next time (and we WILL be back). Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great value and a terrific time (but don't eat anything after an early breakfast!)."

"Pizzas and pastas are excellent; other dishes were less successful. Their "Feast" meal - roughly 10 items, some small, some entree sized - is a really good deal, and much of the food included is what they do well. OK wine selection, good beer selection. Staff friendly but not always timely with courses or with some info (like on wines). No atmosphere and was too warm when we were there. If all the food had been up to the pizza and pasta choices, it would have risen to 4 stars. Good experience, great value. Would return."

"The food and the service at Cupola are great, and the La Festa di tutti le Feste is an amazing deal. We got to try two different pastas, three different pizzas, the justly renowned Dome salad, and more, all for $30 each. Everything was delicious, and there was so much food we ended up taking some home. I can't think of a better deal in San Francisco. The Feste di Bacchus wine flight was also a very good deal, and the wines in general are also very nice and a good value for the money. Service was enthusiastic and very accommodating. You can easily find places where you'll pay twice the price and not get food or service this good. We can't wait to go back."

"This was my first visit to Cupola. We ordered the tasting menu and there was a good variety of items served. There was a VERY long gap of time between the pasta course and pizzas. I think that the kitchen got very backed up with many other diners ordering the tasting menu. We had indicated when we ordered the tasting menu that we wanted the fried chicken to be one course. Another server was getting ready to box up our pizzas and we inquired about the fried chicken course. Apparently, the order did not go through so we had to wait another 15 mins until it arrived. Although our server acknowledged the mix-up, we thought it had been made pretty clear. I would go back but service needs to pick up! It took us 2.5 hrs for dinner. Too long!"

"Upon my arrival, I was taken to our reserved table and seated right away. I am not sure if our waiter was new but when we asked about the size of their pizza, he indicated that it was a personal size pizza with small, thin layer 6 slices of pizza. My girlfriends are I ended up ordering 4 different pizzas and when we received it, it was huge and looks like it could feed 2-3 people. Although the pizzas were good but we felt overwhelmed by too much pizzas in our table. Our waiter does not come very often to check up on our drinks and we ended up asking other servers to refill our drinks. All in all it was a good restaurant but they need to bump up the customer service."

"Cupola is one of the favorite places for us after a matinee. We always go with the festa so we can sample what the chef specializes in that day. This time we were disappointed because the number of selections was minimized. Normally we receive two appetizers, two pastas, two pizza and two desserts (it is a party of two). For some reason (cost cutting?) we received only one selection in two categories - pizza and dessert. I didn't feel as if I got my money's worth. Plus, half way through the meal our waitress who was doing an excellent job and made the meal very entertaining was told to go home because it was a slow night. The replacement waiter was more a server than a guide through the meal. We chose not to dally over drinks afterward."

"This is a good pick for a more than decent spot in the shopping center. The pizza is what is worthy of your attention: while it is pricey for the petite size/paper thin crust, it is fairly good hot oven pizza."

"I know this is a place for pizza, but I was disappointed in the limited number of pasta dishes with the protien source focusing on crab, I think it was.
I ordered a pasta dish that sounded fun/creative and added some chicken to it. I was very disappointed in the marinara sauce. I am find with spicy marinara, but not when it is hot from Tobasco! What? Maybe I haven't visited the part of Italy that uses Tobasco sauce.
I feel if the owners/managers knew Italian food, they would either change their recipes or their chefs."

"It worked for us, we had show reservations and they served us in good timing. We were also surprised at the tasty food - the location gave us doubts about the quality of the food so we were pleasantly surprised. The noise level was unpleasant but the service was excellent. We would be considered "foodies" so this is a good review."

"My friend and I go to Cupola quite often. It was Valentine's Day, but we got there early enough that it wasn't busy. The service was very slow, our waiter was not attentive and our order got mixed up. We were charged for a salad that we didn't order and had to ask for water 3 times when finally the manager came and got the water for us.
We like the pizza and salads there. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident."

"Came here after seeing Wicked on a Sunday afternoon. It was the perfect spot for an early dinner, and we used the valet parking which was fantastic!
We met friends we hadn't seen in several years, and also had a 10 year old with us. No one was disappointed. The food was fantastic, the restaurant is very classy, and the service was spot on. Nothing about it felt like we were in a mall ... completely loved this place. Will definitely go back!"

"Did not expect this quality in a mall, but Cupola did not disappoint. Service was quick and very friendly, even when they were busy. The handkerchief pasta (fazzoletti) is thin and has the perfect "bite" (fresh made), and the pizza is outstanding. Give it a try."

"Cupola Pizzeria is consistently good. Delicious pizza. Love the greens and pear salad.Wait staff is knowledgeable about entrees and wines. They make it easy to share dishes, so you can try several plates. We let our waitress know our theater timing, so she checked with us a couple of times to be sure we were comfortable with how dishes were coming out of the kitchen. We could relax and enjoy our dinner, knowing she had our schedule in mind."

"Funny enough I didn't have pizza and had the Dungeness Crab Linguine, which was fantastic. Big pieces of lump crab and the sauce was perfect, a little olive oil with the pasta water and lemon. Sprinkle a little chili flake and italizn parsley and it was perfect. I had the meyer lemon panna cotta with huckleberry sauce and tried so hard not to order another! The panna cotta was creamy and not overly gelatinous nor so lemony it would make you pucker. Great meal! Who would think that this place is in a shopping center! I love SF. Here you can eat a fantastic meal without having to have "mall" food."
