"Table for four...Three orders came out and we had to remind our waiter twice that 1) the fourth order still had not been brought out and 2) that a spoon was needed for one of the soup orders. When the fourth order finally arrived, there was no apology for the delay or even a hint of concern for what was at least a 20 minute delay for a grilled cheese sandwich...What tops it off is that the order that did not arrive was for a client of mine. Probably just an overworked waiter, but the experience did nothing for my relationship with a key client..."

"Went to The Majestic before a show at the Orpheum and I was very let down by both the quality of food and the service as well. We both had the filet, which was not only overpriced but it was also a very bad cut of meat as well. Ordered an appetizer and it failed to show up. Just one of those nights where nothing was working out."

"I like the consistency of the Majestic and they have a great bacon-bleu burger. Their Cobb salad is very traditional and fresh. Homemade flatbread pizzas from a wood-fired oven are a nice change from the ordinary. Many of the servers have been around for awhile (which is an indication of good restaurant management). They're very friendly and willing to make sure you'll get to your show at The Orpheum on time!"

"The food was good, but our server, Shawn or Sean, was awful. He forgot to read us the specials until we asked and did a very bad job presenting them to us. He was reaching over us to hand us our water glasses and wine glasses. Broke the wine cork while opening the bottle, didn't even fill the wine taster at the table's glass until he was told, forgot to grab a soup bowl from the table before the main course was served, and was just all around ignorrant on how to be a server. This place could be a nice pace if they just taught their servers better. Also, the red wine bottle that we bought was warm and had definitely been kept at the correct temperature which ruined the flavor."

"We live in Tulsa,Oklahoma. Having grown up in Memphis we still have rellies and friends. I was in Memphis to play in the CBC Alumni Band concert at the Orpheum. We had brunch at Majestic.
Very, very nice. Great with reservations, seating and the waiters were super. Great home made biscuits (non existant in OK) and service. We have a very nice experience. I recommended Majestic to all our friends who live there.

"We always enjoy dining at the Majestic. Their menu is diverse and I have never had anything that was not yummy. We usually dine there when we have an Orpheum evening planned. They are efficient and always get us to the theater on time."

"Wonderful menu items to choose from. NOT your standard fare for sure. Portions were immense, so consider splitting any of them, there's more than enough. The cheese and sausage plate could have had a few more types of 'tastier' cheese - they were very mild for our taste, but still enjoyable. Everything was cooked perfectly and had great taste, the very reason you visit a restaurant - nothing was bland or cookie-cutter. We were very impressed and pleased. SOOOoo happy to not be disappointed about a restaurant for a change!!"

"This is my second time to Memphis, first time at the Majestic with my girlfriend and hopefully not my last. Decent beer list, GREAT burgers, garlic mashed potatoes were a little dry, but definitely not worth dropping the score for this place. There is SO MANY food places to eat in downtown Memphis. I highly recommend giving it a chance if you're in the area and are wiling to drop more than $40 for 2 people."

"We have eaten brunch at your restaurant quite a few times and have always enjoyed it. We ate dinner there March 16 before the Elton John Concert and were a little disappointed. My salad was great, my steak was very good, my potatoes were not hot. My husbands appetizer was good and the mahi was overdone and his potatoes were not hot either. We ordered a bottle of white wine and our waitress was going to bring something to keep it chilled and never did. It was just not up to the brunch standards."

Restaurant extremely busy and tables extremely close together. Does not lend itself to a feeling of "relaxed" dining.
Waiter was efficient and friendly.
Food was less than top-notch and rather tasteless. Fish was cooked with no apparent seasonings that I could determine; served on a bed of bland rice with 6 roasted green beans; salad was less than premium greens with little to no dressing or flavor (raspberry vinagrette you would think would have a spicy taste to it!)Overbearing taste of red onions.
Mini dessert offerings were tasty.
Definitelly NOT worth the $29.95 price tag!!! I would not recommend Majestic Grill as a good or even fair dining experience."
