"We went to ECCO for good food, pleasant surroundings, a glass of good wine after several stressful days. ECCO met our expections and then some. We had the fried goat cheese with honey and black pepper. Along with a great Riesling, not too sweet, this was the perfect choice to begin our evening. I had the Alaskan char, perfectly cooked, accompanied by a celery root puree. Dessert was chocolate truffle. The restaurant is very appealing to the eye, walls of honey colored wood. Very comfy, yet modern and simply designed. The service was relaxed and not rushed. We had many questions and our server spent time with us explaining the menu and their approach to food preparation and selection.
This was our first time at ECCO, but not our last."

"We dine here regularly and it always delivers a great experience. The food is consistently good with a seasonally changing, creative menu. Service is friendly, attentive and prompt with care taken to explain any new dishes. Even on a busy Saturday night, our reservation time is rarely missed by more than a few minutes. Front of the house staff always make you feel welcome and judging by the familiar faces that we now recognize, they do a great job at keeping their staff - always a good sign."

"Our server, Ike, was accommodating with food and wine recommendations, seating relocation (our request), and patient humor. Another great experience; this was my third time to Ecco. I had the quail and my boyfriend got their popular flat pasta with pork and tomatoes, which our server highlighted as a popular dish. Both were beyond delicious. Sorbet is always a safe bet at Ecco, too."

"Out party split the following items:
Prosciutto di San Daniele: (moist, melt in your mouth) and peppers stuffed with braised beef both of which were wonderful.
Pappardelle with braised pork was the best thing we had, the pasta is homemade - tender and light, and the sauce was amazing.
Roasted quail was perfectly cooked.
Even the roasted asparagus with homemade aioli was memorable.
We also shared some of their homemade ice cream and the lemon fool with berries which had a nice assertive fresh lemon taste.
It's got to be one of the best, if not the best Mediterranean restaurant that I've been to in Atlanta."

"We enjoyed our dinner here. The fried goat cheese with honey and black pepper was an unusual and excellent start with a generous portion. Tuna crudo was also excellent even though the portion was smaller. Treiso pizza was a good surprise. We also ordered a chard with pickled stems side and enjoyed it. Dessert was an excellent clafoutis, not a dish often seen. We enjoyed sampling the excellent wine list, and the variety of serving sizes, but found the prices slightly high for the wines available, even in Atlanta. Service at the start of our meal was superb but slowed as the restaurant filled up."

"Food was good. We enjoyed both the Arctic Char and the Chopia (?). The fiddlehead ferns(?) were not tasty. They were too crunchy, earthy, herbal to accompany this fist. I left all but one on my plate. I was surprised my server didn't ask why....
The service was good.

"In my 30+ years on this planet, I've had some amazing meals in amazing places. I've never used the term "life changing" to describe them, though - until Ecco. This was my second trip to the restaurant; a dinner with friends to celebrate my birthday. Of my four companions, only one had been to Ecco before. They were quickly converted to fans. We started with the fried goat cheese balls (A MUST) before moving on to a "Chef's Choice" meat & cheese plate. (For the record, the chef makes excellent choices.) We each had a different entree, each one fantastic. Our waiter was the perfect amount of educated, informative, attentive - and absent. I can't gush enough about Ecco! In a city with a plethora of options, this is my clear frontrunner."

"Ecco is fantastic beyond words!!! Andrea is warm and welcoming, treating diners like friends. The food is absolutely pleasing to the soul! Everything is delicious beyond description. I have several dietary restrictions, and they were gracious to accommodate my needs. Our server, Michael McGill, is a true treasure, making the experience such a memorable one. McGill knows exactly how to direct you in ordering appetizers, wine, main dishes, and dessert. When you visit Ecco, you must request McGill's table - he makes the trip! The entire experience from beginning to end is spectacular and worth repeating again and again."

"No doubt Ecco is the best food & service in Midtown. We eat at the bar often, and dine at tables for groups dinners. The patio is a delightful treat and change of pace for regulars or newcomers alike. The service as always impeccable, and a group of five, everyone loved all the tapas, all good sizes to share. The grilled romaine with trout was a surprising hit, and the mussels - yum, yum, succulent & juicy, they must be in season. And what better for a mid-week, group share than chocolate truffle balls to cap it all off.

"The service at Ecco was amazing. From the moment I booked on open tables to the valet who brought our car around. My booking was confirmed with a friendly phone call on the day of our anniversary and we were welcomed with smiling faces at the entrance when we arrive. I mentioned briefly to the waitress that it was our anniversary and didn’t really expect anything of it, but she offered to take a photo for us (without asking) and even brought us a complementary desert to celebrate our special day. The food was delectable, the atmosphere classy yet laid back and they had a great selection of wines, whiskeys and spring cocktails. This has got to be one of my favorite restaurants that I have visited in Atlanta as they went out of their way to"

"My fiance and I have both been in the service industry before, so service is very important to us. The food can be decent and the drinks ok but if the service is great, we will be back. Ecco had a prefect combination of all three. Our waiter Jim made great selections all night having us often times ask him what his favorite item was. The drinks were very well done and balanced in flavor. The food was delicious. My fiance is gluten free so it really is a treat when more than half of the menu is gluten free so it makes it a lot easier to choose items to share. Ecco really is one of the best romantic dinner venues in Atlanta. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal, great drinks and wonderful service."

"I had the Spaghetti, preserved tomatoes, calamari, chilies, mint, bottarga and when I ordered it the waiter warned me that it was spicy. I am a spicy food fan so I was excited to try it. After a couple of bites the top of my head started sweating. It was more spicy than I would have expected and so hot that it overwhelmed the other flavors. So, I rolled the dice and lost on this one. I recommend staying away from the spaghetti dish.

"I don't have enough supelatives to describe what a great experience my party of 4 had at Ecco. The food was fantastic. We were guided through the wine list and helped with a wine choice based on our tastes. The wine suggestion was absolutely perfect. The service was outstanding. I love ambience and style when I eat out. This was a trendy, midtown venue. I also have one requirement that, I believe, most people don't care about. Music. There was the sound of soft background music. This always enhances a social gathering. It was our first time dining at Ecco. We will definitely be back. For sure, next time we will experience dining on the patio."

"Not sure if it was an off night for them, but the service was poor. Appetizer showing up before our drinks. Main course arriving immediately after appetizer. Long delays between server visits, resulting in long wait for drink refills. We decided to call it a night and then waited another 20 minutes just to ask for our check.
Food was very good."

"Anniversary went extreamly well. The managers of the restaurant were very gracious and worked with me to get flowers on the table befor we arrived. Fantastic setting. Amazing food. Our waitor Ike was really good, knew his food, his wine pairings and was easily able to adapt to our mood. What a champ!"

"Found this wonderful restaurant by chance while in Atlanta for the NCAA Final Four games-our table was ready right away, the service was excellent, and the menu was just right if you are looking to share a bunch of small plates rather than order one big meal, although there were full entree selections as well. Not a single complaint- prices were reasonable as well. Had such an enjoyable meal! Would definitely go back and highly recommend!"

"Mediterranean theme-great atmosphere. Tapas or entrees-our waiter suggested an excellent gouda cheese to go with our beef carpacio, & also suggested a very good pasta with pork and peppadews for our entree. The boys had the spicy seafood pasta which was too spicy for we girls, but the boys loved it. The fresh pasta in both was outstanding. Great drink offerings; cocktails, wine or beer. We sat outside as the weather was perfect that evening. The inside atmosphere was very chic. This is a great spot for a special occasion, not inexpensive, but not too expensive either. Parking was not a problem - parking lots & street parking were close by. Attentive but not obtrusive wait staff. This is an adult restaurant."

"We had the best service and a truly fun time. People who dine here are sociable and lively. The grilled romaine salad with smoked trout was delicious and so unique and the charcuterie plates are larger than normal. We are definitely going back soon."

"We were running late and due at the Woodruff Arts Center for an 8:00 show. We told the staff and they worked with us, ordered all our food at once and had us out in plenty of time. We had a great time and I went online to get the recipe for their Long Live The Queen martini. It was my favorite!"

"Very expensive for what you get. Yes, fine ingredients, freshly prepared but my trout was a small portion and was merely OK, not wow. I think it was $26. For a small portion with no sides, at that price, I expect my taste buds to be amazed. My friend had a pasta dish, again a small portion and tasty but nothing special. Bread was great and house-made ice cream yummy. Good wines, but most are $14 or more per glass. I'd go back if prices were more reasonable, but would not order the trout again. I don't even care for large portions but the entree had better wow me."

"There were 4 of us over 60 years of age and we were the oldest in the restaurant. It was a Friday night and all the young hip professtional were there in mass. Service was very helpful and the food was good. Would not go back just because of the noise level. We all had a hard time hearing each other and some times the waiter."

"My husband & I came here for his birthday and the food was splendid. We ordered the cured meats, which were beautifully & thinly sliced. We had the beef stuffed padillo peppers with the grilled romaine & smoked trout salad. Pure perfection. Next came the mains: braised pork shoulder tagliatella & walnut pesto with peas and asparagus. Absolute delight! The only snafu came when our desserts and cappuccino arrived. The desserts were not what we ordered & the cappuccino was quite terrible; however, the manager certainly took care of us. We ail definitely be dining here in the very near future. We highly recommend this place simply based upon its outstanding menu & wine list."
