Joey"s is a casually elegant modern Italian cafe in the center of the Wynwood Arts District in Miami. The main dining room, with its concrete floor, glass mosaic mural and marble tables makes Joey's comfortable enough for a relaxed supper and elegant enough for a pre- or post-evening at the nearby Performing Arts Center. Joey's serves Wynwood's burgeoning arts community with a fine-tuned menu of healthy, classic dishes from Venice and other culturally rich Italian regions. The affordable, chic restaurant is owned by Joey Goldman, a partner in Goldman Properties, which rejuvenates urban areas and transforms them into thriving global destinations.
"we love Joey's twist on a caesar salad with truffle and the chicken paillard! we also love the spicy shrimp pizza and with one visit with our children it became their favorite place for pizza! the service is friendly and the chef is cool. Joey's is a great find and we love this place for lunch."

"Slightly above average food (pizza- excellent, duck- v. good, scallops, caprese and bruschetta just "ok"), with little in the way of innovation or alternatively, respect for original presentation. Service, however, was not up to par and would prevent us from returning. We would consider takeout for pizza."

"A great find near our hotel in Miami for a late Sunday night dinner. Food was very good, Mista Salad was fresh with figs and walnuts, Pappardelle Gratinate was excellent. The staff was excellent and very attentive to our table. We highly recommend Joey's."

"salad was okay; my pasta dish was underdone; when I told the waiter he said, "that's al dente". I told him it was overdone, not al dente. He took it back and when he returned it, the ricotta that had been tossed with the pasta when he initially brought the dish was now an oily mess. This indicated they did not start the dish from scratch, but just reheated my dish. There was no seafood, meat or poultry in this dish so it would not have been a big expense for them to redo it. As a result, the taste was awful. My husband ordered salmon with lentils; I tasted it, and it was very fishy to the taste. Needless to say, it was a disappointing experience."

"We've eaten at Joey's many times, and will continue to. I guess you'd say we are regulars. Chef Ivo Mazzon is great. He comes up with such intriguing daily specials that it is difficult to choose from among them. His daily soup is a must - simple and the perfect start."

"Nice place with good food , I had the Kobe beef short rib which was outstanding but the rissotto side that came with it was a bit pasty and not much flavor.overall it is a good place . Im sure there are other excellent items I need to try , I will be back ."

"I had been meaning to go to Joey's for a while and finally made it. The food did not disappoint -- well seasoned, cooked to perfection, with inventive sauces and marinades. The gorgonzola cheese and fig pizza is a must and the Veal Chop with a mustard fig sauce was outstanding. Quite crowded for a Saturday nite and service was a little spotty from time to time, but overall, a fine dining experience. I shall return...."

"Once again Chef Ivo has outdone himself. The very best linguini with clams in Miami. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The gnocchi were light as pillows and complimented with excellent pink cream sauce. And the pizzas were as usual...delicious and amazing. thin and crispy and done just right! Great salads and desserts too. The pear upside down tart and chocolate cake are just two excellent choices."

"We were enjoying the very interesting Wynwood arts neighborhood in Miami. A local recommended Joey's as a pleasant place to dine. It was. The service and ambiance was excellent. The menu was not large, but had offerings for almost anyone. The food was presented very well, BUT two of our dishes had basic problems that an attentive kitchen would have avoided. My appetizer, the Polipo (octopus) was plated very nicely, but was far too tough...cooked a bit too long. In my wife's pasta dish, the papperdelle was far overcooked. The sauce was delicious, but too soft pasta ruins the dish. I'm betting it was an off nite in the kitchen as our other food was very good, so would recommend Joey's with a small caveat."

"I had the baked tagliatelle with bolognese which was rich and delicious. We'd heard the pizzas were good so the four of us split one as an appetizer - we had the pizza with figs and gorgonzola - it had a spicy kick that was a yummy surprise. My husband had the salmon with lentils and didn't think it was special, however."
