Cadiz Restaurant & Lounge offers a California Cuisine influenced by flavors from the seaside villages of Spain and Italy. While specializing in tapas and small plates, we also offer seafood, flatbreads, pastas, and entrees. The menu is seasonally driven, and all produce is bought from the local Farmer's Market right outside our front door. Our wonderful selection of seafood dishes come from local, harbor fresh seafood, purchased daily. Our mixology bar offers seasonal, market-fresh cocktails, and on weekend nights Cadiz transforms into an upscale European style lounge/nightclub at 10:30 until 2am.
"This was our second time eating here and it was great. The beet salad we ordered as a starter was heavenly. The drinks were delicious. Our table was very happy with our entrees. We ordered the cod salad, the Fettucine, spaghetti with clams and the Cadiz Burger."

"Excellent food, although if more of the tapas dishes served 4 instead of 3, we would have ordered more of them. As it was, we only got the lamb meatballs, as there was one for all 4 of us. Other than that, everything was delicious!"

"Delicious first time experience at Cadiz! Food was tasty - from the albondigas to the flatbread to the Mediterranean trio. Drinks? Oh yes. Strawberry tequila is a must, even if you're not a huge tequila fan. Ambience was also perfect for a small social group, romantic dinnner or fun scene. Add attentive and friendly service on top of that and you've got yourself a fun evening!"

"Diver scallops are great, saffron risotto is another great dish. Some good specialty cocktails. It is tapas style so the plates are small so be prepared for that."

"Thousand points mistakenly rescinded one hour after we arrived. One employee stated she couldn't fix it while another said she could and would but didn't. The problem was quickly resolved by Jessica, OpenTable technical support representative."

"Our experience for Valentines was great; the food was delicious. My only comment was that the vday menu that was displayed online was apparently last year's, so we came in prepared for a different set of choices."

"Had an overpriced Valentine's Prix Fixe menu only, which they did not mention when I made the booking online. Food was only ok, certainly not worth the cost premium. Steak was pre-sliced, small portions, and the sauce was overpowering."

"Wait staff was unfamiliar with menu, signature dish (Moroccan Chicken) was 20+ minutes "because the oven wasn't lit". The noise level was uncomfortable particularly with a large table of drunken young people."

"Unusual offerings, tasty sauces, small plates were different and well presented. The waiter was correct when he said that the wild boar ribs simply fall off the bones....at the end of dinner, there were two plates with nothing but clean bones. Ramen made in-house was a treat. We sat outside and the patio was warmed by some sort of radiant heat by our feet and protected from winds by clear plastic curtains, but we could still see and hear the street scene. A great first visit."

"We had dined at Cadiz before and had an amazing experience. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. We were excited to go back again but this time we went during the week and had a completely different experience. There was only 1 waiter on staff for the whole restaurant and even though it was a Wednesday night the restaurant was very busy. He was nice but wasn't knowledgeable about the menu and seemed overwhelmed. Normally I don't order a chicken dish since it can be boring but the Moroccan chicken at Cadiz is AMAZING!! We were excited to order this again but they were out! We were shocked that a popular restaurant would let that happen. It will be a while before we consider going back."

"We had a good time at Cadiz. The server was not very familiar with the specials (and there were several) so that was a bit frustrating, BUT, she made good by us. We ended up having some great cocktails that we'd not tried before (orange rind, tequila, and ?) and some tasty tapas. For 2 rounds of drinks and a handful of tapas, it ended up being $200 for the 4 of us. Yes, I've lived here long enough to know it's hard to fine dine in SB for under $50 a person... but it just seemed to be a lot for what we got. So for us, it'll be a happy hour fun stop, or a nice alternative to one of our regular haunts.
Overall, it's a fun, cool space with good food. Mostly a 35-50 crowd that turns more into a club/lounge after 10."

"A very hip atmosphere with delightful tapas. We enjoyed a couple of bottles of Cava and then a wonderful bottle of Spanish wine. Our table was a bit small for our group given the many dishes we shared, however, the quality was superb! The music and bar scene was energetic and we loved the selections the DJ played. A definite hit. We were visiting our son at UCSB and took him and his friend to dinner. It is fair to say that Cadiz appeals to the young and their parents!"
