An extensive wine list, including wine from some of the world's finest vineyards, and an attentive, knowledgeable staff add to the appeal. Perhaps you prefer a more intimate, private setting. Mistura's private dining room holds 14 people, while the semi-private dining room holds up to 40, to cater to your more private functions.

"The food here is outstanding. Prices are high but are justified by the quality of the food. Service is friendly, fairly casual but very professional. About the only knock is that tables are close together and wine-fuelled conversations can get very loud. On a weekend, not the place for a quiet, romantic dinner. But you can't beat the food."

I emailed ahead and asked for a quiet table to enjoy a a special occasion, they found the perfect table for me and brought special dessert as well. Great atmosphere, great food!"

"It was a quiet Thursday evening at Mistura. The valet parking was greatly appreciated, and the welcome by Mistura's hostess was gracious and friendly. Our party of 4 had a 5 course tasting menu with wines. The white bean crostini were very nice, as we're our appetizers. The red beet risotto is Mistura's signature dish and was really fantastic!
Mistura had a couple of serious misses. The main of stuffed Cornish hen was unfortunately far too salty (mostly because of the prosciutto wrap) and two of our party couldn't even finish theirs. And the chocoholic at our table didn't even eat half of her chocolate brownie dessert. Not because she was full, but because she didn't like it.
In all, Mistura was disappointing."

"Very attentive and warm greeting at the door. I loved the olive bowl as we were waiting for the rest of our party. Lovely signature martini!! Good food, attentive service, good selection for picky eaters, nice-sized portions. I saw Massimo come out several times: wish I got to meet him. It seems that he has a lot of regular customers, so I guess he was busy checking on them."

"Very slow service, not attentive at all. Ingredients quality was very good but the food was very average, except the pastas. OK for a neighborhood restaurant, but I can't believe it is considered one of the best italians in Toronto... Stick with the pasta dishes, the rest is not innovative, nor worth a special trip."

"Very good food. Deep fried artichoke appetizer was very tasty, tangy. Branzino sea bass was moist, sweet. Daily special striped bass was also good. Overall a nice dining experience. Staff were attentive. Only complaint was the main course took a while to get to the table. Couple next to us (who must've been a regular) came in after us and got served before us."

"We had high expectations knowing that Mistura is celebrity chef Massimo Capra's restaurant. Mistura seems to have a bit of an identity crisis: it's neither upscale fine dining Italian nor a smart casual contemporary lounge. In other words, it's not romantic enough for special occasions (as it's a bit loud), yet it's too costly to visit regularly with friends (you can tell that many patrons are high-rolling regulars). Service was friendly and helpful (as should be expected of a restaurant of this caliber), but not amazing (coat check service was very slow). Similarly, the food was simple, straightforward, and delicious in both taste and presentation. In other words, we were hoping to be "wowed" - we had a great time, but not exceptional."

"The greeting was poor and unprofesional my guest and I were not acknowledged at all and we were left dumbfounded as other guest cut the line- I requested a special table through open table and that was not even addressed at all. One of the Managers was talking loudly at the next table for an eternity-our cocktails took 20- 30 minutes-My glass was broken-another manager asked how everything was as he blew by in a hurry and didnt stop to introduce himself -when leaving I was asked why we didnt enjoy the evening and I explained -the staff apologised and we said good night-"

"Went for winterlicious and it looked busy. I ordered the mushroom salad, tiger shrimps, and walnut cake... They were superb. However, me and my friend wasn't really impressed with the pasta she ordered... But she really liked her pistachio panna cotta and braised quail. The service was really smooth and the waiter was nice... Although the wait time between our main and desert was longer than usual, I could see that the waiter was attentive to our tables since they would come around right away to fill up our glasses of water when it was half/near empty. I just thought it was a nice gesture."

"Parking was hard to find. The valet parking service for a parking lot raise my concern at first, but they are avaliable and doing their job. Great interior environment. Lighting great for romantic occasion. It was a good experience. Oh, they were kind enough to make commodation for my 30min late reservation which I really appreciated."

"Ungfortunately whether it is due to busy Winterlicious or if this is the normal I do not know. Service was not ver good, appetizers arrived before our drinks, had to flag down a waiter(not ours a could not be found) to ask for the drinks. This was not a good start as we wanted to have our drinks before the appetizer which by the way was cold for me and should have been very warm. We ordered lattes with our desert, mine was cold, tried 2 times to flag down the waiter, finally we were able to cath him and he took the coffee away and returned later with a hot latte. We were there for 6 PM which at that time was not very busy so there should not have been the lapses that we experienced. I may go back to give it a second chance."

"The food was truly wonderful but I found the staff not very welcoming. I understand with winterlicious it must be a bit of pain but seriously, make an effort please to engage with your patrons and smile at least. Staff seemed bored, totally uninterested and just wanting to get us in and out. When we had a question about a drink, they were dismissive and not particularly helpful.
That atmosphere is a little stuffy... great for an older crowd (60's +) with lots of money."

"Sometimes with restaurants participating in winterlicious the servings aren’t as big, food isn’t high quality, and the service is almost always terrible, but everything was fantastic. Unfortunately this isn’t a restaurant I can afford on a regular basis but I had I will definitely make a point to come back and splurge as often as I canThe service was great, wine was fantastic and the food was perfect, I am still thinking about the warm walnut cake and mushroom and arugula salad.I definitely would recommend this restaurant to everyone.Thanks for a great night!"

"The food was good, but I've had better. The service was good, techinically..the server did everything she was supposed to I'm sure as she was instructed, but it was way too uptight. At one point she removed the crumbs from our table one at a time. Then she rearranged the cutlery and dishes on our table very carefully. Later as I was passing my partner a piece of my meat it fell on the table runner and left a little spot. We were actually nervous of what would happen when she saw it. When she saw it she came back over and replaced the table runner, setting aside everyhting. I felt uncomfortable, as though we were bad diners because we made a little mess. Oh No! We couln't just relax."

"The food was lovely, we loved the fried artichoke appetizer, the lobster spaghetti, beet risotto and scallop main. The room feels rather crowded and loud. If you want a booth you need to request one in advance, and you should. The only downside? The service! Excruciating. We had such a horrible server, she acted like every single thing she did for us was a terrible bother. We would ask for things and she would totally forget, then head back to our table later- remember, and spin around to head back for whatever she was forgetting this time....totally amateur and out of it. It can make a great meal into a bit of a gong show. And the food deserves better!"
