"The hands on owner has made this a very desirable restaurant, making customers want to come back. The lamb chops were excellent cooked to perfection and a very substantial size.. The lobster roll was as good as any we have had in the east from Florida to Maine. The server was extremely courteous and responsive to our needs. He contnuosly came back to our table asking if we needed anything. The menu appeals to casual diners as well as those looking for fine dining, including a nice variety from light fare, sandwiches to entrees."

"My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The food was outstanding. The wait staff were super and the manager made us feel so welcome. It's the little things that we look for when dining out and Barrett's has it. A must dining experience."

"Our group came to visit after not seeing each other for several months. The food was quite excellent, the service was excellent, the wine delicious. The noise level, however, prevented us from conversing comfortably and we were under an air vent that blew cold air. I would definitely go back, though I might ask for a different table. The staff really is very good and very solicitous and tried to help warm the area, but the way the air vent was, it wasn't possible to make it completely comfortable."

"This was our first time for brunch at Barrett's Grill. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food, and the service was outstanding. The only suggestion I would make would be re: the food selection - I would recommend having an option on the menu for a create your own omelette - instead of being limited to the 3 taste specific omelette selections that are on the menu. While the atmosphere at the restaurant during brunch was very relaxed, there were not a lot of menu items that would interest kids. Overall a very enjoyable time, and delicious food!"

"We have been to Barrett's Grill many times and try to order different items off the menu. We are quite particular of what we eat and I must say we have enjoyed every dish we've selected. The appetizers are tasty and delicious. The entrees whether it be fish, meat or seafood have always been served hot, fresh and in sync with our entire meal. We also love the bread pudding. The staff is friendly and professional and they are impressively knowledgeable of the menu. Can't wait to go back again."

"Very nice evening. We did not have the greatest table as think smaller room is just loud as nothing to absorb the noise. The food was very good. We had Ceasar, Scallops , Sea Bass and Filet. Erin was our server and friendly and provided excellent service. We will be back!"

"Barrett's Grille is consistent and offers a great menu at reasonable prices without driving downtown. The service is wonderful and a great place to eat at before the movies or with the family (although I don't think it's good for small children). The food is good, not too creative but always satisfying. I will continue to eat there."

"Good was okay, nothing special. Crab and roasted corn soup was very good though...great flavor but could've used more crab, was hoping for more of a chowder. Mac and cheese was okay but not as good as waitstaff bragged about. Steak was also just okay, not bad but not memorable either. Waiter was the type to make subtle insults. You could tell he didn't want to be there but put on a fake smile and generic comments."

"Had dinner at Barretts for business year ago and it was great. This time the wine list changed, it was lack luster in comparison to the old list. The server was so inexperienced that he didn't know how to handle a large group (10). Didn't know anything about wine including how to open a bottle. Food was great. An associate and I split the bill and he struggled with that along with once I got my credit card statement, I was charged the full amount even though both of us have the split bill showing paid. Called the restaurant and the manager has yet to call me back."

"Booked a table of six for a Sunday afternoon. Exceptional service and very kid friendly. Manager was quick to make sure a 2 year old in our party was fed quickly and didn't have to wait until the rest of the food was ready. In addition, manager stated that he had one of our meals remade because it "just didn't look right." Barrett's also replaced another meal because egg was overcooked with no problem. Will be back again!!"

"Staff was professional, servers had good knowledge of the menu, seating was comfortable. We were next to a station for water, silverware and napkins which created a lot of traffic by us.
Food had great taste and nice portions, but was lukewarm (not cold), Risotto had become sticky, but the Macaroni & Cheese came out scalding hot. So you know our meals were waiting on the M&C. On a personal note, the Prime Rib was only available Medium, not my favorite way, but the Rib was tender with good taste. On a positive note, our appetizer and Key Lime pie desert were excellent.

"We had the scallops wrapped in bacon for an appetizer, and they were delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Thursdays are half-price nights for bottles of wine, and our server helped us choose a good bottle. The jazz trio provided great background music. We will be back!"

"I met a friend at Barrett's for dinner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Our food was prepared exactly as described and we both enjoyed our meal. As far as value, I feel that there are other restaurants in the vicinity that offer as good or better food for the same or lesser price."
