1400 North at the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center
1400 North & Liquid 14,located at 14 and M Streets, just off Thomas Circle in the beautiful Westin hotel. We offer a casual, relaxing atmosphere of an American fare.
"Nine of us visited 1400 North for the Easter brunch buffet 2013; unfortunately we were seated in an adjacent room in isolation (along with one other party of 6). A boom-box CD player – yes, from the 1990s - was our ambiance music. But more importantly, I think the waiter forgot about us (out of sight out of mind)! Our table soon because a collection of empty glasses and plates – of course he remembered to add an automatic gratuity for extremely poor service! In addition, the arrangement of the buffet was cumbersome; the line for the omelet and waffle station was in the middle of the self-serve entrees and alcoholic beverages – poor planning! The food was OK –nothing special; but lack of attention from the server and automatic gratuity was"

Review 2 for 1400 North at the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center
"4 of us went to 1400 for Easter Sunday brunch. Picked it because of price and location. The staff was friendly and accommodated our early arrival. There was nothing special about the atmosphere, not even table coverings or centerpieces to recognize Easter. Food was ok, I enjoyed breakfast offerings, the lunch offerings did not seem appealing. Waiter told us the bloody mary and mimosa bar were for us to enjoy as a part of our brunch. Great. So, even though we were not overwhelmed by food or the cramped not covered table, we were happy to be together. That is, until we received the bill. The $39 brunch cost us $67.00 pp. Taxes okay, 20% gratuity added barely ok, and $12 for the bloody mary/mimosa bar, not okay. Next time Park Hyatt."

Review 3 for 1400 North at the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center
"This experience overall was a disappointment. Went for Easter Brunch and expected a high caliber presentation given that it was at the Westin, but the buffet spread was meager. Patrons had to endure a long line for wafffles as there were only 2 irons. It was clear that they don't typically serve a brunch as the planning was poor. There is subtle deception such as encouraging patrons to help themselves to a mimosa at another table (but not informing you that there is a separate charge). For a brunch experience for two to cost $130 and to be quite underwhelmed by the experience is certainly a disappointment."

Review 4 for 1400 North at the Westin Washington, D.C. City Center
"We ordered bottomless mimosas and you ran out of champagne. The waitress was bored, unavailable and somewhat rude. The omelette chef only made one omelette at a time even though he had 2 burners. I could not stand there with a sprained/hurting ankle so I left and never got one. The sauce for the roast beef tasted like BBQ sauce. You should have had gravy or au jus. The turkey was dry.The 20% tip was included and this was far too much for a buffet that wasn't even good. Your desserts for Easter were poor and tasted stale. I will never bring my family back to eat there."
