G2B is your feel good neighborhood Pub with outstanding food and kind, generous service. At G2B you can find a delicious array of wood fire grilled entrees, charcuterie and cheese, dynamic small plates, hand-tossed pizzas, tasty desserts, and of course a burger that you won’t soon forget, all made in house daily. "Once again we had an amazing experience at G2B. The food is absolutely fantastic. There is something for every palette. From burgers to foie gras, and also a gorgeous combination of both! Whether you want something traditional or something more inventive, G2B has it. Full bar with a great beer and wine selection, the highest quality fresh local ingredients, house-made charcuterie, vegetarian and pescatarian options, beautiful though unpretentious atmosphere, great for a date or a family or work outing....the reasons to love this place go on and on. This is our favorite restaurant in Durham. I cannot recommend it enough!"

"My wife and I really enjoyed G2B when we came the first time, so we figured we would try it out again during Triangle Restaurant Week. The prix fixe menu looked exciting, but at only 20 dollars I was a little worried. Well they certainly brought their A game. As there were two choices each course, my wife and I got one of everything and it was all great. I especially enjoyed the coffee and cocoa rubbed pork tenderloin, while my wife's favorite was the chocolate ganache dessert. Our server Daniel was really friendly and quick with service, and the manager Chris recommended two beers off their 'reserve' list that were delicious.
We will definitely be back again and are hoping to try one of their beer dinners soon."

"My friend and I went here to catch up and to take advantage of the $20 3-course Prix Fixe menu during Triangle Restaurant week. We were delighted with everything and got a real bargain! Outstanding first course of haricot vert with fried egg on top, followed by entrees of shrimp with risotto and pork tenderloin, and a wonderful chocolatey dessert. Our server, Mariano, was attentive and helpful without being overbearing."

"I love eating at G2B and enjoy their regular menu. But I especially love seeing what they've come up with for Triangle Restaurant Week as they seem to be especially inventive with that special menu. This time the watermelon/cucumber soup and the rosemary ice cream were special treats, as was the pork main course. I hit a perfect weather night for eating outside, too. Excellent and fun!"

Food was excellent and nicely served. We really liked the wild mushroom risotto with the mixed lettuce salad. We shared a great swordfish entree.......and then finished off with two "homemade" deserts!
Two of us went for the first time to celebrate an anniversary. Not crowded.....and if it had been, it might have been too noisy for a quiet, special dinner. Not a "romantic" ambience but pleasant and very attentive and knowledgeable staff.
I imagine it could be a "vibrant bar scene". It wasn't on a quiet Sunday, Holiday evening.
Amazing selection of beer......although we prefer wine and had some good wind by the glass.
We definitely will go back......and take some friends with us!"

"I really appreciated that I could get little tasting glasses of the draft beer, so I avoided one bitter beer and got something more to my liking. The steak was excellent, service was great, the dessert I had was chocolate tart with ice cream. I did not like the smoked taste of the soup, but several friends loved it, so it was good to have a chance to try something new."

"This was a great find. A fit for foodies menu in a trendy restaurant that is also kid-friendly. We got great, interesting food, along with trying some new local beers from their amazing beer list, while our kids hung out in the gaming chairs and played the wii before eating their burger and fries. The small plates that we tried were great, and I was impressed with the house-made breads and house-made charcuterie. This restaurant is a bit hidden behind the building, which may be why it was not very crowded, but it is definitely worth checking out. Oh, and good service makes a good meal. The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful with the beers and navigating the menu."

"From the moment we hit the front door until the moment we walked out the front door, we felt like we were special guests. Chris was a perfect Host to a great evening out. We had only given a passing thought to where we would have dinner and wanted to try something new for us. Chris made sure we made the right choice. This pub has an impressive beer list and the menu has something for everyone as well. We chose a table outside and were treated to a passing storm. We had perfect cover from the rain and the view was fun. Our waitress was attentive and likable. The food was expertly prepared. Our table had the five item charcuterie, scotch egg, grilled romaine, the G2B burger and garlic fries. We didn't have room for dessert."

"G2B is a wow! My wife finally agreed to try something new so we went to G2B and after having a little trouble finding it, it's in the back of an office building, we were pleasantly surprised. Great wine list with reasonable prices. Menu is a mix of small plates and entree's. We started with a chicotarie board, featuring Duck, Duck pate and some great cheeses that were fantastic. We then shared a few small plates. Best risotto I have ever had. and had desert as well. The menu isn't huge but very eclectic."

"Our waitress made the night, she was so friendly and easeful and knowledgeable. Just a lovely girl. Then the FOOD was perfect, every dish. Three of us had vegetarian choices and one ate the lambburger. All were most happy.
We then ordered two desserts to share and they were superb, better than anything. oh wow
We are all seniors and wondered if giant TVs and noises would be too much. It was ok, did not distract us or worry us. We sat next to the cooks and were thrilled that the head chef is a FEMALE.
And we were told she is a meat person but her vegetarian dishes are really fine."

"We were visiting from out of town for a birthday/anniversary getaway and wanted to go some place nice. After reading the menu and reviews online, we choose G2B. The food was pretty good. We ordered the paella stuffed calamari to start with. It was a bit tough but very flavorful. I had the lamb burger. It was very good (especially without the bun)and the sauteed kale was delicious. Of server recommended a great pear hard cider that we both enjoyed. He also brought out a dessert for my husband (it was his birthday). It was a delicious mint ice cream and cookie."

"I had a fantastic experience at G2B. I came in to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and was blown away by the level of service, the delicious food, and the effort that the staff put in to making this night truly special. The head chef, host and general manager all personally told her "Happy Birthday", and the Chef went out of her way to give us a couple of special items throughout the meal. We ordered a bottle of wine and the bottle service was on point; presented elegantly, served properly, and I neither of us ever had to refill our own glass. At the end of the night, our dessert was served on a plate that had the words "Happy Birthday" elegantly written on chocolate on the upper rim. It was unbelievable and I truly recommend to all"

"We always enjoy our visits here. Great innovative menu, good service and easy on the eye setting. Then small plates are great. The clams were wonderful as was the risotto and pear salad we had our last visit. Of course the large selection of beers is a plus. Would highly recommend.
They seem very anxious to provide a great eating experience. Hope their out of the way location doesn't hurt them."

"My husband and I enjoyed our first visit to G2BPub. Excellent food menu, great beer selection. Liked the dining atmosphere in the Jazz Lounge, we came to hear the Straight Up Jazz Ensemble. Perfect music to match the atmosphere and crowd. Thanks! We will be back. Both of us want to check out the lunch menu. Also-the regular dining area looked comfortable for families as well as adults, it was classy, but casual. Great TV bar area as well."

"AMAZING beer list - like almost overwhelming. If you're not a beer connoisseur you will definitely need the help of the waiter. Our waiter was very knowledgeable. The plates are very small, but very good. A couple I remember: paella stuffed calamari was AMAZING, scotch egg was phenomenal, risotto was very good and the pizza was very good. Overall the food was very good, just very small.
They also had a local jazz band playing in the back room. While we weren't able to watch, it seemed like a good time.
Overall, I would probably go back and would recommend to others. It's a little bit pricey, but worth it on occasion."

"Nice restaurant. If you are looking for very upscale pub fare and a fine list of beers on tap (many local), look no further. My burger was excellent - melted in my mouth. My wife's steak was also very good. Sides were excellent. Very nice ambiance; kind of a hip, modern space."

"The only problem we had with the meal was the oxtail. We ordered the app and it came out, great presentation, but it was nothing but fat. I am aware that oxtail is very fatty but you should not serve it to your tables if there isn't enough meat on there for even one bite - very disappointing."
