"Food was fine, if your ordered pancakes, you get pancakes. No sides, no plate relish, no special sauce...pancakes, butter and maple syrup. If you order lobster eggs benedict, you get just exactly that and for $18, it should have had some fruit, a small salad, sausage or bacon, something. Doughnut bag was delish...$8 for six doughnut holes, kinda pricey at $1,50 a doughnut hole.
It's a pretty restaurant, maybe the bar scene fares better.
Fine if you are close by, we'll be trying somewhere else next time."

"my son and mother are living 7,000 miles away - so Mother's Day becomes a different meaning. However, my husband and I decided to nevertheless to out for dinner - to a place that didn't really promote this special day.
It was the absolutely right choice - we had a wonderful dinner in great ambience, not crowded at all. We enjoyed the evening very much and will for sure comeback."

"Service was tops. We went early for a good seat even though we had reservations. Mixed review on the food. Food was a la carte, no buffet. That's not a bad thing. Eggs were cooked perfect. Hollandaise was made in house and was delicious. But the disappointing items were the potatoes and sausage! The potatoes were very dry. Took one bite and had to drink water to get it down. The sausages were also dry and tasteless. The contrast was startling. How can a kitchen make a wonderfully delicious sauce and cut corners on items that round out the dish?

I think I'd like to give them another chance just because they made their own hollandaise sauce, the crusty Brioche toast wasn't burnt, and they got good review in the past. But it will be dinner."

"We had 2 $20.00 coupons from posh deals so that really helped with the check. The food was very good. We had Brussels sprouts, mushroom soup and the barrata cheese. I ordered a split of champagne, $30.00! There was hardly anyone there on a Sunday night. I wouldn't go back just because it is so expensive. 12.00 for Brussel Sprouts?"

"Our experience began when our server Kendall finally made his way to our table. Water to drink - sparkling, still, or tap? Apparently tap was not the correct answer and we immediately knew from the outward change in his demeanor that we were going to get horrible service. He came back with the water and we skipped right into entrees without appetizers. It was like we committed a dining sin. This kid had the gall to roll his eyes with a smile. Another server brought the food and it was nothing special, but we didn't see Kendall until it was time for him to offer us dessert. We were definitely ready to get out of there by that point. There are far too many great places in Atlanta to even consider giving this one another try."

"We went to Briza for my husbands birthday. From the moment we walked to the moment we left we were treated with such class. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back and bring our friends. The food was fantastic and the experience was absolutely top notch. To top it all off, we were greeted with a surprise bottle of champagne to celebrate the Birthday boy's special day. Amazing!"

"I was very disappointed in my visit to this restaurant. The menu sounded great but the execution in preparing the food fell short - not as flavorful as described and my food porkchop was undercooked and hard to cut through. Also, the restaurant was not at all busy as it was a Monday night at 7:30 pm so I thought we would have quick service(and hoped as I brought a volunteer committee there that had gone through a long day of work), instead the service was very slow. We waited very long periods between courses - I could see my group members looking around awkwardly for their food."

"The food was decent. I had the mushroom soup which didn't blow me away. I ordered the NY Strip. The dish would have been excellent except my steak was over cooked. I ordered medium and it came out medium-well. I didn't send it back because it took a very long time for the food to come out. All of the dishes were presented very nicely. We had the fried pies for dessert which were very good. I was not pleased with the service. We arrived at Briza at 5:50 and we the last to be let into an 8:00 show at the Woodruff! The service was incredibly slow, and valet parking also took forever to retrieve the car. My wine glass was empty the entire time i was eating my steak. Worst service and worst steak I've had a nice restaurant!"

"We went a bit early, so I can't comment on the typical crowd as it was fairly empty, but the food was a definite win. Around the table we enjoyed the duck confit, organic chicken, and short ribs. The duck confit with the forbidden rice (whatever that is), was absolutely amazing. Combining the duck, with the rice, and a touch of the blood orange was a "perfect fork" for tasting."

"We had a lovely Easter at Briza. The team seemed to be really in synch and everyone was so positive and fun. They had a easter egg hunt for the kids at their rooftop bar gardens which was very sweet..the kids loved it which is always a plus. The food was good but what really made it memorable was the ambiance and energy. Our server was so nice and there were several other people who stopped by to check on us who were very hospitable. My husband and I will definitely return without the kids so we can enjoy the bar upstairs and their dinner menu which looked really good. Found it because it was close to the church but found a place we hope to make one of favorites..also free parking!"

"This was our third visit and each time we've enjoyed it more. The menu, while limited, offers interesting choices and has changed a little since our last visit. "Briza has an awesome ambiance and amazing service. The food is good although some of it sounds totally whacky...like one of those chefs who does thing just because you can not because you should. Our server was actually the manager which made it even more fun as she was so passionate. We tried both specials. The one with salmon was awesome..the other one was so crazy sounding we had to try and it was $16 wasted. All of our entrees were amazing and the drinks were great. We WILL go back...but probably stick to the menu."

"Nice ambiance, very comfortable seating, attentive waitstaff. The food is a creative style of local favorites, chicken and waffles; to a tasty steak tartar.
The main course Berkshire pork chop was overcooked and the sides were overly spiced. The short ribs were a very small portion, but the sides stood out. We will try this restaurant again to see if it was just an off night. The location lends itself to a second chance when we go to the Fox Theater."

"BRIZA is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. Our server was a manager, and she was very accommodating. The food was presented in a lovely manner. Our dinners were well prepared. We went there before a show at the Fox, so we appreciated the complementary valet parking at the restaurant which is only a few blocks from the theater. (We did not leave the car at the restaurant, but at least we did not have to pay for parking twice.) BRIZA is definitely on our list of "return to" places."

"I went to dinner to catch up with a good friend, and I chose Briza because it is a beautiful restaurant with lots of comfortable banquettes for private conversation. It is easy to get in and out, service is very attentive service, and the atmosphere is lovely. But it's the food that really impresses! Wow! Cocktails are creative and delicious. The menu is interesting and varied, and the food is absolutely fantastic! The flavor combinations are amazing and execution is perfect. This is one of Atlanta's finest culinary gems."

"My husband and I where very excited to try this restaurant since it looked great on the website. The interior decor is beautiful, I love the private booths, and the service was great. The food on the other hand was not up to standard, we first started with two appetizers, oysters and muscles. The oysters where very fishy and tiny, not worth the money, the muscles where just ok. I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the ribs, they where ok but nothing special, defiantly not worth the price. Also, I ordered a glass of champagne before dinner and they brought it warm, when I told them , they apologized and said they will chil it for me, I had to wait 15 minutes from them to bring me another one. They should have gave me another brand"

"We had a good night. We ordered all apps & sides, and our server very thoughtfully grouped our choices and timed them as though they were a mini meal. He also helped us make choices. Our drinks were fantastic, the food was solidly good, and I want to go back to try entrees another time. I had the Bloody Mary, one of my favorites to date. We had the mussels, the foie gras beignets, the fresh cheese on bread, the Mac & cheese, and the Brussels sprouts. Briza is definitely on my list of good eats in Atlanta!"

"Nice and elegant environment. Very impressive. Food was delicious and diverse. My only problem was with service; our waiter was very nice but he forgot completely any recommendations on wine and the specials...I don't mean to be picky but if I'm going to spend that much money (did I mention is a little pricey?) I expect no mistakes..."

"Our entrees and desserts were enjoyable but it was disappointing that the menu differed so much from what was posted online and that there were only 4 entrees to choose from unless you wanted to do the $75pp chef's menu. Interior was beautiful and laid back which was sharply contrasted by the loud barking chef in the kitchen. Service was very pleasant but inefficient. I did have the best espresso martini ever though!"

"I took a date here for valentines. The ambiance was perfect and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food, however, was horrible. They talked us into buying a 75$/head "valentines day special". This included 5 romantic movie themed courses. Great idea, horrible execution. I didn't enjoy a single one of the courses (neither did my date), and two of them were so unpalatable that I could not even finish the small portion. One course was two pieces of undercooked tortellini, while another was three oysters which were literally smothered in salt. I was severly dissapointed in the quality of the food at this restaurant, as it did not live up to the beautiful decor or hefty pricetag. I will never eat here again."

"The best I can say about our first experience at Briza is that everyone tried very hard to make our evening pleasant. However, enthusiasm only takes you so far. While it was only 7:30 they were out of the special for the evening which my wife wanted. They were also out of scallops which was my wife's next choice. She settled for the short ribs which were quite good. Our salads (beet and arugula) were fine also. We ordered an appetizer that never showed up neither to the table nor the check, however our bottle of wine was mistakenly left off of the check. Overall, they tried hard and the food was good but the service was less than adequate."

"The food was nice. Bit light on vegetarian selections. But our waiter was fantastic. He was helpful, willing, friendly and just could not do enough for us. One of our parties did not like the salmon and the restaurant was great about replacing it with no questions. I think their service made this business dinner very successful in their attention and helpfulness. The bread was fantastic as were the hors d'oeuvres of mini chicken and waffles."
