"Had Mother's Day brunch here and it was absolutely delicious. Each mom was given a pink rose and a complimentary glass of champagne. All of the items we ordered off the menu were amazing. Especially the peaches & cream filled doughnts. Would definitely return."

"The Raleigh Hotel is an art deco masterpiece, with a pool and surrounding back area, festooned with scores of white orchids, to match. Most restaurant tables are outside, looking over the pool, eastward toward the beach, and the food's quality fits the delightful surroundings. The dishes we had were creative, made from fresh ingredients, and nearly perfectly prepared. Swordfish served over red lentil couscous, for example, is easily and nearly always cooked until it becomes dry. This was moist throughout. A key lime bread pudding was inventive, tasty, and surprisingly light. It's gratifying to see that Michael Schwartz's new venture is up to the standard of his original in the Design District, but in a more romantic and relaxed environment."

"The service was a little slow, especially when they were not that busy. Beautiful outdoor space. Food was good, not something I would go back for soon."

"What a lovely experience this was - the perfect backdrop for a special day. I am a fan of Chef Schwartz and this is a great addition. Can't beat the ambiance! The service was attentive and sincere and refreshing. The only glitch was timing from kitchen - maybe a little faster turnaround with requests. But that pales to the experience, and will definitely go back. Food and cocktails were simply divine."

"I have been to several of Michael Schwartz's restaurants and, in my opinion, this chef is overrated and his food just doesn't live up to all that hype. Instead of wasting his precious time giving all those media interviews, maybe he could try to come up with some creative dishes. Deviled eggs ($7)? Come on! On a positive note, my server was friendly and attentive -- even though he never brought my coffee. The venue -- the Raleigh Hotel -- is very nice (if you like views of the lobby or hotel pool)."

"We arrived with a group of 6 for lunch on Saturday..Three of us sat down as the others wanted to "check out the pool".. 30 minutes later, we has no drinks, then it took another 15 minutes for the others to receive their drinks,. We had to speak with manager. The outside porch was not busy, nor was the bar, that we could see from our seats. The food was great (as expected)! Just seemed a little disorganized.."
