"I have been to Bob's multiple times. Besides the food, the service has always been top notch. This visit disappointed in service. The waitress seemed flustered and overly busy. When we sat down, she asked for our drinks, returned to drop them off and turned to leave. I stopped her to mention we wanted appetizers. She confused medium well with medium rare and was not familiar with common steak sauce brands. Once everything was settled at the table, she breezed by barely slowing, inquiring if everything was ok. The other diners in our party, had no clue what she said. The man filling glasses with water was more attentive that the waitress. In the end, not one to cause a scene, we chaulked it up to the waitress being new."

"Great service started right from the door! We had reservations at 8:45p on a Friday, when we walked in my husband was greated with hostess saying "Happy Birthday" I know it's because I wrote it in the special requests, but nice to know they read those! We were taken to a table immediately but saw that it was right next to a large loud table of 20, we asked for something more intimate - they were happy to seat us in another section of the restaurant.
Our waitress was amazing! Food was outstanding! We had fried calimari, lobster bisque, ceaser salad, filets with spinach / mushrooms and skillet potatoes as sides. Everything was amazing except for the sides. For a little surprise- a trio of sweets with a candle. Very thoughtful

"We went because we had two daughters graduate. They had congratulations cards for the girls which was a nice touch. Waiter was very pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent. Will go again and gladly recommend"

"The prime ribeye at Bob's is truly outstanding. The cut of beef rivals that of Ruth Chris but more affordable However, the ambience seems marketed to older conservative white men - who play golf. As evidenced by all of the golf pictures on the wall. I would not recommend Bob's for a romantic dinner, but it is a good choice for good steak."

"Our server (Daniel??) was superb. Friendly, perfect pace, didn't hover, provided descriptions and suggestions when asked, made our anniversary special without being ridiculous or over the top. Loved our experience. Calamari and carrot were perfect. The rest of dinner (steak, potatoes, spinach) were fine but not outstanding. Definitely preferred those same items at The Butcher Shop."

"Our waiter was very personable and offered great service! The lobster bisque was very tasty - rich and creamy, my filet was cooked perfectly - tender and flavorful, the large caramelized carrot was different but very tasty! We also had the sauteed mushrooms which I really enjoyed. I should have skipped the smashed potatoes and had a baked potato. I thought they were a pretty bland. Unfortunately, I did not have any room for dessert but I sure did enjoy my lemon drop martini!"

"I have dined at Bob's many times over the years. Had a client in town and of course chose Bob's to give him a flavor of a real steak. The ambiance and service were all up to par. By my steak, a 16 oz rib eye, was well, well, below standard. It was edible, but I could have got a similar steak at significantly lower cost at any lower end, value steak houses. I was not about to "make a scene, given I had a client with me, but I was very disappointed to say the least. Our office is in the process of actually moving to The Shops at Legacy and will of course have many, many occasions to dine out in the area. I have to say I will now have to re-think my higher-end options. Sorry, for the review, but you asked for it...."

"My husband and I brought our 3 kids to Bob's for dinner. Our waiter, Chuck, was extremely helpful and patient with the kids. He was very knowledgeable of the menu items and processed our order changes in a timely manner. Food was delicious. The kids devoured everything and commented on how great the steak, potatoes, fried calamari, beef soup and lobster bisque were."

"This was our second visit to Bob's in Plano over the last few months. Our first visit was excellent, but unfortunately our return was just good, not great. We were in a large party, and reviews from the members of our group were mixed. Several people were not happy with their meal, while others were very satisfied. In Bob's defense, I would guess it is hard to make everyone in a group of 12 happy.
I thought the veal chop was very good, not fantastic, but very good. The tomato and mozzarella salad was just ok, the tomatoes were overripe and soggy. Our server was good, but the kitchen was extremely slow. It took forever to get our entrees on a busy Saturday night. I would return to Bobs, but I would stick to the higher end steak cuts."

"My husband and I took my sister and her husband to Bob's steakhouse to celebrate their wedding anniversary and the experience was outstanding. We all ordered ribeyes and we all agreed it was the best we had ever had! It melted like butter in your mouth! "This is the first time I would rate Bob's just average, as I have rated them excellent in the past. They were having problems that evening. Our soup didn't come out before our main meal and my wife's steak was cooked wrong. The attempted to fix it, but it was ruined.
We came for a special occasion and may have to rethink future occassions after coming to a top tier restaurant that specializes in steak and they couldn't get it right.
In their favor the did apologize and tried to make it right, but it did ruin the evening by turning anticipation into disappointment."

"Service and ambiance are terrific- however the steaks are truly average. One of my guests actually returned his. Mine was so so- I cant recommend a steak house with average steak irrespective of how great the wait staff are. Its Dallas TX- no shortage of other steak houses to try out!"

"Great shrimp appetizer to start. Followed by the rack of lamb (was trying something different than steak). The rack was a bit on the small side, but it was cooked as ordered. Waiter was very good, prompt. I would order the bone-in ribeye next time – as my colleague thoroughly enjoyed his."
