Home style cooking at its best is our mantra. Our restaurant is located in the busy streets of Tribecca but one step inside instantly transports you to a quaint country diner in the heart of the New England country side. The pink polka dot wainscoting and tin ceilings along with our funky homemade tables made from salvaged doors adds to the cottage feel.
You are met at the door with our abundantly filled pastry cases. The shelves are filled with our homemade layer cakes, flaky pies, iced cupcakes, fruit crisps, and so much more to tempt you on your way to a table. Kitchenette can satisfy all your cravings whether it be an oasis from the cold with our own hot chocolate topped with a homemade marshmallow, or a steamy bowl of chicken soup or a hearty meal of turkey meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We are a home away from home. Come visit us for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Brunch or an afternoon slice of cake and coffee.

"Kitchempneet is a hip, causal diner type joint wih yummy food and hip staff. I met my goddaughter there to plan her engagement party. It was the perfect place. Really up energy and the food was yummy but did not wear up down. The decor is cut. It was not noisy at all on the evening we were there. Enjoy."

"Made a reservation for last Sunday but when I arrived I was told that the reservation did not appear in their system. I even showed them my confirmation. We got offered a really bad table instead or a 20min wait so we decided to leave and try somewhere else.
Not impressed especially as I was looking forward to go there."

"Perhaps my favorite restaurant in New York City. Yes, there are others with fancier food, but you will not find more solid comfort food, served to you by nicer people, anywhere. Bonus: Everyone knows and loves it for brunch, but those of us who are wise to the fact that the dinner food is great too, don't have to contend with a crowd of people, even on a Friday night. Dinner at Kitchenette is such a great little secret that I'm almost sorry to put it in public view here...but I want this place around for a good long time, so there you go.
Also: Killer desserts that are the epitome of how your grandma used to bake (or how you wish your grandma had baked)."

"The Kitchenette was what one would expect. It has a diner feel but the seats are surrounded by an adorable bakery counter. The meals are inexpensive, but the seating is somewhat cramped--I felt a little too close to the patron behind me, so much that we were back to back."

"Cute, cozy and delicious. I've been here several times now - lunch, brunch and dinner. There is always something on the menu that suits me. It is quite busy during weekday lunch and Sunday brunch, but if you eat at off hours (as I often do on the weekend), it is quite relaxing."

"We were very excited to eat our first brunch in the city and we were not disappointed, it was amazing. the food was very good and the waiters were nice to us.
It is not really quiet but it makes sense since it is very crowded.
