"Thank you for the "special treat" on Father's day. Our first visit was on Mother's Day, we enjoyed it so much I booked for Father's day immediately after.

"My wife and I were looking for a place to go for lunch before getting around for the Tigers and Twins game. We came from Lansing to see the game. The interior of the restaurant had a great ambience. It was decent outside so we asked to sit on the rooftop. It was a little overcast but the view of downtown was great. I had the street tacos and they were good. The sushi and edamame were good as well. It was a relaxing meal that we both needed before a long day out."

"Went for happy hour with a group of friends on a Friday evening. We all arrived at different times and our server was more than accommodating in making sure that everyone had a drink in front of them ASAP. She was kinda and fun, and the food was wonderful. Always a good experience at CRAVE."

"I should have known it was not going to be good since it was not busy on a Saturday night in downtown Minneapolis. The halibut was bland. The ribeye was ok. Only the person who ordered a burger liked their meal. The smore brownie dessert was good. Service was slow - our drinks went unfilled. We will not go there again. For $200, the 4 of us should have had a much better meal."

"I have loved and raved about the cherry-bacon encrusted salmon and have enjoyed it four times, three times downtown, and once at the Galleria. I was so disappointed Thursday when I looked all over for it and was told it was discontinued.

"My friend and I had a wonderful experience at CRAVE. We split a tummy crunchy tuna roll appetizer, then each ordered a glass of wine and paired it with the salmon salad, served med. rare exactly to our specification. The grand finale was the cute little key lime desserts, which were perfectly sized and priced. I normally don't order desserts at restaurants, but the portion and price made it impossible to resist! We also had a fun and very friendly server who helped to make our evening wonderful. Thanks!"

"We sat on the rooftop for my birthday. The sushi was pretty good, but I shared the pork tacos with my friend. They needed a little something extra. We asked for salsa and that helped a bit. It wasn't really dry, just bland. Dessert wasn't anything special, but the drinks were fun and delicious."

"Went to celebrate a birthday - indicated this on reservation and told our server - He disappeared after taking our order, one order came out incorrect, he never checked on us, offered a birthday dessert, or bothered to ask if we wanted a dessert menu. This is the second time we have had horrible lunch service - too many other downtown options to consider trying again!"

"One of my favorite salads: the Crave Salad with candied walnuts and goat cheese and balsamic. Perfect portion. Goat cheese on the pizza was a nice touch. Only concern: I was on crutches and the elevators are far away to crutch to and from the second floor entrance."

"If you have tickets to a show at any of the theaters along Hennepin Ave. Crave is a great location to have dinner. Parking is simple & you need only park once due to Crave's proximity to the theaters. Also if you are running a bit short on time they have a show menu which includes items that will get to your table quickly. The service was overall very good & attentive. The food was good not great, too much frisée in the salads, salmon portion rather small & a chocolate tart which didn't work on many levels. The sushi items were decent if unimaginative.

Would we go again? Perhaps, it was generally a pleasant experience."

"I came to CRAVE with my family for dinner after my college graduation ceremony. We were able to move our reservations up because we got out early, which was nice. Our server was good, nothing too out of the ordinary. They were almost out of sushi as well as a steak salad my dad wanted to order. I had a chicken and mushroom pasta, the portion was quite small considering the price of the dish and the fact that it was dinner time. Other than that, the wine was good and we enjoyed the restaurant."

"Was looking forward to eating at Crave, but thier a/c went out the day before our reservation. After being seated we realized how horrifically hot, muggy and uncomfortable it was in there. We inquired as a manager happened to be walking by. She was apologetic and said it would be fixed the next day. We decided to leave and eat elsewhere. It certainly isn't anyone fault the a/c was out, however it was considerably cooler in the bar area so it would have been nice to 1. Be forwarned about the situation before being seated, and 2. Be given an option to sit elsewhere where it was cooler. We Will try again another time - it has a great ambiance and it a very nice place. Too bad as we were definitely looking forward to eating there!"

"From beginning to end, my experience at CRAVE in Mpls. was dreadful. Even though I had a reservation, it took them 25 minutes to seat us. The host (who was horribly rude & snotty) finally sat us after we complained. The table still wasn't ready. He literally pulled two tables together as he sat us.

Happy hour ended at 4pm! When we pointed out that we had a 3:30 reservation we were told there was no way to give us happy hour pricing. After some pushing, the manager agreed to do it - ridiculous! It took 50 minutes to get our drinks. The staff seemed unconcerned about any of the service problems. It was not busy when we were there (about 10 tables total). Yet, at one point, I counted about 15 employees on the floor doing NOTHING!"

"we arrived early and were seated in an almost empty restaurant, which was fine. Not sure why the place was so empty when two other places I tried to reserve were completely booked at that time slot. Food was OK. Waittress admitted she was in her first week, and she was fine, although understandably not very familiar with the menu. I would return here, probably as a second or third choice, but not really as a destination."

"We had a great pre-show lunch for our group of six. The food was very good and it was delivered in a timely manner. Our check was also delivered and processed in good time. Compared to experiences with other restaurants in the the Hennepin Theatre District, Crave stood out in a good way. We will definitely go again."

"I took my girlfriend to Crave for a special nigt out. We arrived at 4:30 and sat in the bar, then moved to our table at 5pm. The food was really good, the service was GREAT (the water lady was a bit obsessed to keeping my water glass full... almost standing over us), but it was HOT in there. I realize it was a warm day outside, but I would think they would have turned up the AC in anticiaption of a busy Saturday night. We had to finish our meal and get outside for some fresh air, but did notice as we walked out that it was cooler near the entrance than it was in the dining area. But an overall fun experience!"

"I typically go to Crave with a group of adults but we were downtown for a Raffi concert so we had our 3 year old. I didn't want to feed him burgers and fries so we went to Crave. The staff were all delightful to my little boy and he adored their sushi (yes, he loves cooked sushi with eel sauce). The adult food was quite good as well--the pastas particularly. Overall very good experience."

"The last 4 times here have been pathetic, we only come for the rooftop. The waitstaff never know what the specials or Happy Hour details are and we often have to inform them of what is listed on the website. This last time we dined here we made a reservation and noted we would prefer rooftop seating. We were informed that they don't take reservations for the roof but when we went up there the hostess had a computer with opentable and there were many tables with reserved placards. After waiting 25 minutes we were seated at a table that had been empty the entire time we were waiting. Overall, the communication here is poor and the management needs to iron out the way they educate their employees and operate their business."

"While the ambience and service were great. The food was subpar. My pork chop was red in the middle and cold, the sides were cold and lacked flavor. The other entrees at the table were OK, but not spectacular for the price. The bright spot was the flatbread appetizer, which was really good."

"The food was decent but I felt it was a little overpriced even taking into account the holiday. The poor guy at the carving station had his hands full trying to carve a huge prime rib with the wrong knife that looked to be dull. This caused a huge back up so by the time you got your meat the rest of your plate was cold. Staff was attentive and very nice."

"I was able to get a table reservation through Open Table. My brother showed up first , I had to call to change the table from 8 to ten and as the birthday girl I was running late. They held the table and allowed my brother to take a drink and app at the bar while waiting for the rest of the party. We had a couple of teenagers with us and the food and atmosphere was more family friendly than expected on a Saturday night and that above all was appreciated."

"I went with a group of ten to the Mother's Day Brunch. The food was actually pretty good, as were the Bloodies (Zing, Zang). The Buffet was set up poorly. only allowing one side to really be used. Also, the place was really crowded. I would have like to see a few less tables. I felt bad for the tables that had people hovering around them in line for the buffet (which took ten minutes to get to the plates)

PS. It was also very hard to grab a plate and dish food to myself with only one hand."

"We decided to go to Crave for their Mother's Day brunch this year. It's a special occasion where they offer a buffet, so I wouldn't consider this a regular review of the restaurant. The planning for the buffet is what we had an issue with. There was only one line for the massive spread of breakfast and lunch items and as a result, the line to even get to the start of the buffet wrapped all the way through the restaurant dining area. There was a constant line of people walking right next to our table watching us while we ate. It was pretty uncomfortable and not something I would consider a fine dining experience. I think it would have been extremely helpful if they would have broken the main buffet into multiple smaller stations."

"$30 for brunch simply isn't worth it to me, and it was annoying that coffee was included but tea for $4 extra. The food was all well prepared, however, and very tasty. There were lots of servers but they seemed more interested in each other than in the customers. Never again."
