La Casa de Isaac and Moishe’s Restaurant is the second Mexican restaurant established in Highland Park by the Nava family from Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico. As family owned and operated establishments, the Nava family has brought some unique Mexican dishes to Chicago’s North Shore. Isaac’s Mother’s Favorite Enchiladas – a recipe developed by their mother, Florencia – continues to be a customer favorite. New specialty items are added continually with an emphasis on local favorites from their home region. The Nava family maintains a strong commitment and loyalty to the community by offering unique Mexican dishes with excellent service. They appreciate the support and patronage of their customers.
"I enjoyed the blackened Fish tacos. This is more neveau Mexican as Tacos typically will never have corn on top. Still very tasty but I question the fish portion given to me. The Guacamole was very tasty as well as the salsas and mole sauce. Mexican beers are in bottles and nothing on tap which is disappointing. Service was excellent"

"Food was good as always but the restaurant was chaotic. There were long waits despite reservations and much confusion. The restaurant appeared unprepared for the large numbers of people who showed up. In addition, there was a group of about 20 having a birthday celebration, and they probably stayed too long - keeping 5 tables out of circulation, and having kids jumping up and running around. The kids even left, went to another restaurant, and brought food back to eat. Other big groups added to the noise and delay in table turnover. The servers worked hard to keep up with orders. We'll return at a less crowded time."

"I had a taco salad with chicken: good, fresh, plentiful with quacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo. Seems a little pricey on some items but mostly affordable. I give it 4+"

"Always great food, but the service this last time was lacking. Needed to ask 3 times for additional chips to go with the $9 guacamole. Also needed to ask twice for a to go box."

"I've eaten at La Casa De Isaac & Moishe several times and have never had a bad experience. Good food, pleasant atmosphere and wait-staff make La Casa De Isaac & Moishe a favorite "go to" restaurant. This visit I had a Groupon- which included gaucamole, two entrees, and Margaritas- I was very impressed when waiter said the drinks were "top-shelf" Margaritas. Class act. Like I said, never a bad experience at La Casa De Isaac & Moishe."

"Terrible service! We had a reservation for 6pm right when they opened and they were very busy all at once. Four of the six plates we ordered were warm at best. And, one meal was completely wrong. I had to ask for napkins three times."

"We have now been here 3 times, and 2 of the 3 times they did not have our OpenTable reservation. This last time, we were told "No problem, it will only be about 10 minutes". 35 minutes later, we finally sat down, and waited until the hostess found us a waitperson. Once our waiter came over, things went fine from there. We really like the food here, and the atmosphere is fine once your in, but between the reservation issue, and then waiting around for service, you definitely start off on the wrong foot.
By the way, parking can be brutal at any time near a peak time."

"I had the salmon with goat cheese burrito, it was delicious! The portion was so big I took half of it home and had it for lunch the next day - and it was just as good!"
