"The Buratta was disappointing and bland, but the Ontario proscuitto was pretty good and combining this appetizer with some grilled red peppers and roe turned out to be a good start. The guacamole blue crab was excellent with a bit of a bite to it. Scallops were simple but tasty and the duck was first class. All in all a pleasant experience."

"Hi there, my family and I dine frequently in Toronto restaurants, Stock has become one our more favorable ones. This past Sunday we attended the brunch for the second time because the first was such a great experience, and I have to say not impressed with the meat station at all. The tomahawk that they served was full of nerves and when I mentioned to the chef she assured me another was coming out but by the time it did the craving for the steak had gone. Having said that the pasta bar chef was great to deal with and my family had a great experience with him.."

"This was my second time at Stock. The food is amazing am I was really looking forward to their mac & cheese, it is to die for! The portions are a little too much for me so I had asked them to pack everything up for me, just like the last time. The "to go" boxes are really cute. Everything went very well. I would definitely go back."

"I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to make a reservation at Stock, Toronto for dinner at 9.30pm on a Saturday evening. I'd been working 7am-9pm for days and needed somewhere to eat and relax alone. Maybe not a typical customer, but I was taken care of superbly. I had requested a seat on the outside patio and this was offered immediately upon arriving. This was my first visit to Trump, Toronto and I'd clearly picked on a "hot spot". Inside the the place was very lively but the patio, with its superb view of Toronto's urban landscape was quieter and an excellent choice to eat, relax and generally contemplate the world. Ambiance, food and service were all superb and the price reasonable. I will certainly recommend and return."

"I'm a regular at Stock, and for good reason. From the moment I pull up and hand my keys to the valet, I'm treated like royalty. The staff is always attentive and make me feel like they truly care. Stock at the Trump is a high end experience like no other. Food and service are second to none. I suggest Stock to my friends and they are always equally as impressed as I am. Attention to detail is important in the restaurant business and Stock is consistent in the quality they deliver. I'm already looking forward to my next visit."

Service even less personality. The kicker - the server opened a 3rd bottle of sparkling water while we were waiting for our bill. Guests should never be charged for something they didn't order.

"Great service from the valet until the end. Ambiance was great with lively music and a great view. Wine selection was very good and the bourbon choices were the best i've seen in the city. The steak was a little disappointing with the rib eye having some chewing, tendony pieces. The NY was much better but not the best. Overall, would recommend and visit again but probably try another main course or go just for apps and drinks."

"music too loud for an upscale place so the people at other tables had to talk on the top of their voices. If I wanted loud music and noise I would have gone to a family restaurant. The ambiance was just OK, the food was middling good, the variety small, the quality quite ordinary, the presentation, OK for a standard catered food, and the staff too artificially fawning. I think the bill represents at least double what we actually got. Oh yes, on making the on line reservation there was a box allowing me to request something special. I asked for a rose for my wife. I guess, they simply forgot."

"What a great evening! The room, ambiance, service and food... all great. We are spoiled with great dining establishments in Toronto and this one has raised the bar yet again. Thank you to Dominic, Zoltan and Sergei for incredible service. Whoever is managing this restaurant is doing a fantastic job! Some our our favorites: tuna tacos, burrata, lobster mac 'n cheese, steaks, dorada, chocolate caramel dessert! Yes it is expensive... Wine, obviously a big contributor. For us this is not just a dinner out, but a celebration."

"Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Stock on April 15 2013. We were a party of three and we all ordered the tomato pasta with jumbo shrimp. The pasta was homemade, the sauce was amazing and the giant shrimps were cooked to perfection. A truly wonderful pasta dish. We shared an appetizer of burrata cheese and procuitto which was delicious and we also shared one of the best desserts we had ever eaten-the chocolate cake with caramel ice cream-absolutely outstanding! (note make sure you order your own dessert, we were sad we each didn't order one) The ambiance of the restaurant was incredible, the service impeccable-a great dining experience overall. We were all very impressed with the evening and would definitely go back again!"

"We went for Sunday brunch with my hard-of-hearing father, only to discover that the restaurant not only believed in very loud music, but even had a DJ making sure the volume stayed loud throughout the meal, despite our requests to turn it down. Not only that, the music was very middle-of-the-road, almost easy listening, so had no need to be cranked up.
I can understand wanting to create a nightclub kind of vibe in a with-it restaurant with a killer bar, but at noon hour on Sunday while families are trying to dine? I like the restaurant, the food, and the panoramic view, but please, turn the music down!!!"

"Everything was delicious, from the truffled popcorn to the truffled mac and cheese. One of the best steaks I've ever had, it was absolutely melt in your mouth. Lively party atmosphere. The only downside to me was that they pulled the "your table isn't ready, why not have a drink at the bar" and "the wine you chose isn't available, let me suggest a pricier bottle" tricks, both of which increased our (already hefty) bill by $50."

"It was our 29th wedding anniversary and we had been looking for awhile to find the correct restaurant. What we found was truly magnificent, from the Car jockeys, to the doorman, waiters and quality of food was a real experience for us, well worth the money and we talked about it all the way home.

"The place was lovely from the moment we arrived. The waiter was not only helpful, he was efficient and friendly, and there was a genuine sense of warmth from all the staff. We watched them treat a loud table with kids well, and accomodate larger parties to another table. And the food was great! We came for a night out without our kids, and it was decadent and fun--and totally without Trump-like pretentiousness. We will definitely come back soon!"

"STOCK has great potential to be the ideal spot for business lunches. Prior to this past visit, I shared with many friends and colleagues that STOCK was "the best business lunch" venue: wonderful ambience, tables were appropriately distanced so you could have a business conversation semi-privately, music was at a soft level further allowing for a pleasant business conversation, and the food and service were perfect.
Unfortunately, consistency of dining experience hasn't come into play yet. My last visit, while the food was just as good, the music was louder and the service was poorer (very slow, and infrequent check-ins). I hope STOCK returns to its original (and not to distant past) perfection."

"Having been to this restaurant a few times, I find myself returning for the quality of the food. That being said, the service I received on my last visit was sub par. Our waiter's attention was fixed on a large group who was seated after our arrival. I understand wanting to pay special and close attention to a wealthy table that will tip you well, but that fact that our waiter was in such short supply, we were constantly forced to seek out and call upon the other service staff in the area was awkward. He all but forgot about us between dinner and the offering of a desert course. I am disappointed because I enjoyed the steak here more than most steak houses in Toronto, however the service I received will dissuade me from returning."

"Food was delicious mostly. My steak was a bit undercooked but easily corrected. We ordered the crispy polenta and they said there was no truffle on it but there was, without a doubt, truffle on it. Just one of those things either you love it or hate it and they happened to serve it to a table of haters. It was taken off the bill. I would recommend checking your bill over though as we had several items doubled in error that may have gone unnoticed. The waiter was delightful and the lobster Mac and cheese appetizer special may have been the greatest thing I've ever eaten."

"The ambience was very classy, sophisticated and modern with soft chill music playing in the background - it was perfect volume to strike up a convo. The food was really good as well and the staff was super attentive and always came at the right time, never too early, and never too late. A very memorable experience!"

"Table cloth should be laid out for a more fine dining feel with the price range. Selection of bread is too little and the bread was not warm enough, only butter was being offered, should have a better selection of dip. Surprised that the other guests dressed so causally, not even smart causal but in jeans, there should be a dress code. Lighting was great, it provided a very romantic atmosphere. It was a bit noisy at the bar which affect the nice atmosphere at the restaurant. The little stool for ladies to put their hangbags is a special touch. Chairs are comfortable. I ordered the shrimp pasta dish, the size of the shrimp is jumbo which was good but I did not like the texture of the pasta which was a bit chewy but other dishes was good"

"Well I must say this was one of the better restaurants I have been to in the city. The Décor food and service all hit the top marks. You would think with all this would come a price out of reach for most. But surprisingly price was not the most I have paid for a top dining experience in the city. In fact I would say for what we got and quality of the meal, the price was not a gouge.
If you are out for a special night out and looking for that perfect place, Stock is it. You will feel like you are in Vegas or a super trendy spot in NYC. Great thing is it's right in our own backyard."

"This is a lovely dining room and the kitchen has such potential. The service was excellent and our grandchildren were taken good care of. The entire staff excels at service. The kitchens weakness is adding too much salt to every dish, so all you taste is the salt an none of the other seasonings. The exception was the delicious mushroom soup on the menu. Just lighten the salt on the steak and side dishes and you will have a winning menu."

"Foie grad appetizer was good though a little cold. Fish was filled with bones, despite my request for filet. Waiter made it clear I did not understand what a filet was, despite the pile of bones on my plate after 3 bites. Finally took the fish back to re-do, but had to be told to take my husband's plate back too (we're we supposed to eat in shifts?). New plate of fish was filleted well, but smelled and tasted fishy - I believe it may have been a few days old or frozen. Not what you expect for these prices. My husband ordered scallops and remarked that they were rather small for a fine restaurant. One of them was filled with grit too. Other diners were very loud, so it was hard to have a regular conversation. This was a big disappointment."
