"Though the manager was not friendly, the service from the waitress and bartdender was outstanding. Nice people. We ordered several tapas and none of them were good. I could make a better meal at home.... and I'm terrible in the kitchen! The drinks were good though. Nice place --- super service (not from management) --- okay drinks -- not so great food!"

"Some difficulty getting reservations because it gets booked well in advance. Have to plan ahead and not think spur of the moment.
Wine list is somewhat limited but it is a small place and what we ordered was great. Waitress recommended it and she was right on target with what we wanted. Food was delicious! Each plate was perfectly done and ample quantities for the group. definitely a place to return to again!"

"It is a joy to have such a great dining experience so close to home. I remember the place when it was a local bakery and coffee shop. Loco has become a hidden gem that turned a mediocre place into a great dining spot. The food is excellent, atmosphere relaxing and unrushed, and just a few miles from home."

"My fiance and I have been to Loco before and for his 51st birthday dinner we chose it again. We went on a Wednesday night, which was really great. It was quiet and relaxed and we had a nice table with a wonderful server. Our food was delicious and we couldn't have been happier. We finished the meal with a warm chocolate cake! It was the perfect ending for a wonderful Birthday dinner for two!"

"Love the red & black decor - very Spanish. Staff is very friendly and we had a wonderfully attentive waiter who made an excellent wine recommendation. There is a nice selection of tapas which were very flavorful. The vegetarian in our group had plenty to choose from. Unfortunately, the paella was disappointing because it was much more of a Italian risotto-type dish than a traditional Spanish paella: short grain rice in a tomato sauce with no evidence of saffron. Although not traditional paella, the dish was very flavorful with garlic and other spices. Having been to Spain and sampled paella in several regions, I would not term this dish a traditional paella. So foodies looking for a traditional paella should go elsewhere."

"we had a wonderful evening, the food, drink and atmosphere brought back memories of our trip to Spain. Great authentic Spanish food and outstanding sangria. The only downside was it was not kid friendly, and one family in our group had a six-year old child dining with them...perhaps a limited children's menu or willingness to be flexible (we asked if the kitchen could improvise a grilled cheese sandwich and were told this was not possible)."

"My Wife and I had dinner at Loco Tapas Saturday night. We made reservations in advance, its much better to have reservations before you get there. The place did not get crazy busy, but the server did hint that it was a slower saturday than expected. The service was excellent. She took her time to talk to us about their selection of Tapas and also informed us of their specials. The food came out in a timely manner. The food was flavorful and fresh. We really enjoyed our night. Will definitely go back again."

"Granted, a tapas place in Easton would likely be THE place to go for locals. But is this worth driving miles out of the town when Boston is in the same distance the other direction? Probably not.
First time to Loco; had high hopes on food if not service; disappointed in both. Food was mediocre at best; was hardly impressed on the dishes -- some were downright sub-par, maybe even unauthentic. (I'm not contending the chef's background, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. Friend who actually went to Spain spoke similarly.)
Staff was trying; our waitress was NOT lazy or snooty, just untrained and inexperienced. There were multiple exchanges/comments that didn't need to happen.
For that price and this quality, not sure if I'd ret"

"I love LOCO and have been coming here for a very long time. I participate in all their "cooking classes" as well. Jim and Makayla are awesome hosts. This particular visit, though, had a new server that evening. She was overwhelmed (her words) and never even acknowledged that we had arrived. We waited 15 minutes before we had to flag down a very nice young lady serving water in order to find out who our server was. She graciously took our drink order. Five minutes later we still hadn't had anyone approach us, so we flagged down a very nice young man to ask who our server was. He sent her over immediately. This young woman who ended up being our server had no personally and just didn't have what it takes."

"Our overall experience was good. We got the table closest to the bar & kitchen. So, there was constant traffic near us and we found it a little too dark. Very hard to read menus. Small plates were good. Beef tenderloin plate was extremely sparse. Really enjoyed the mushroom croquettes. Paella & short ribs could definitely use more seasoning...very bland. "The first time I went to this restaurant things were great. But my most recent visit, not so great. Our wine order took 45 mins to arrive at the table. Butternut squash bisque was bland and served luke warm. Steak flatbread was charred black on the bottom and might have had 4 or 5 half inch squares of shaved steak on it f that. Our main course the braised short ribs were more like pot roast without any bone/ribs. Unfortunately will probably not return to this restaurant."

"We had one very positive experience with Loco and went back recently with friends. This experience was not so good. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated even with reservations. Our waitress was not good... she had a great personality and was friendly and energetic, but she was a poor waitress. She forgot to put in orders for three of the things we ordered (two tapas and one main dish) and blamed a computer glitch each time. Wait times on everything from food to drinks to just getting water refilled was terrible.
This was very disappointing because our first experience was so positive and we felt a bit embarrassed after raving to our friends. Now we're left wondering which experience is the 'exception' and which is the 'nor"

"I can honestly say I was disappointed. We got there 10 mins early, and our table was not ready, we waited close to 30 mins after our reservation time. The meal came out before our drinks. The food was okay, some of it was just luke warm, which makes me feel like it has been sitting under a heating lamp for quit some time. Our bill came, and it was wrong, the waiter decided to do the math out in front of me to proof I was wrong, just to find out he had made a mistake. Instead of just saying I'm sorry, I'll go fix it, he blamed it on the manager, "the manager put it in wrong!" He claims. At the point, that had been the theme of the night, our table was'nt ready, the drink came late, but it was all someone else's fault."

"I had a reservation for 730 and we did not get seat until almost 830. Server was mediocre, it took him at least 15 min to take our drink request, he was not very friendly, we ordered tapas and they were good. We asked for more water and more wine but I think he forgot because another 15 min passes and we were den with our food when he brought the second wine. Not impressed."

"I have been here a number of times with my husband, and was able to bring a friend after having raved about the food and service! This experience was a let down. Apparently they were much busier than expected for a Thurs. nite, and thus, the kitchen was in the weeds, as were the servers. It took nearly 10min for our server to come by and greet us and take a drink order, another 5-10 for the drinks to come out. Another 15 or so for the server to come by and take our order, and it went down from there. Food came out either lukewarm (diver scallops, roasted root veggies) or burnt and lukewarm (margarita style flatbread). The food and service was just not at the level is has been in the past, and I sincerely hope that this was a fluke!"

"This is our 4th time at Loco and once again a very good experience. Server was attentive but not over the top. Two of the tapas (scallops and port tenderloin) were marginally overcooked, but the tilapia special that night was great (it really should go on the day to day menu). Only downer of the night was that they didnt have the apple churros. If you go to Loco, make sure you guy the apple/chocolate churro combo. Out of this world!!"

"Food was WAY over priced and bland. Most of the food was sub-par with only a handful of things I would even say were good. Pretty disappointing actually. Their most popular dish paella, was tasteless and barren of any of the meat it was supposed to come with. If you want real paella head to fall river/ new bedford and get it at half the cost and 10 times the flavor. This was our second time going and we were were hoping our first time was bad only because it was an off night. This second time confirmed that the food just isn't good. The place was packed both times we were there which means either residents in Easton don't mind boring food or good restaurants are so hard to come by in the area that they have no choice. Skip Loco."

"Our reservation was for 5 PM, which is the same time they open. They left all the restaurant customers outside for about 10 minutes after 5 PM only coming out once to say it would be a few minutes. The food was good and not good in waves. Their calamari was surprisingly awful, we pushed it to other side of the table and they never asked us why it went uneaten which even a Denny's would do. The service was okay, but not as high as I would expect from a fairly expensive restaurant. There were some dishes I would love to eat again but I am sure it is worth the effort. I would recommend only for certain dishes but prepare my friends for poor service."
