Blending the tastes of the Chesapeake with traditional Mediterranean cuisine, Paul’s Homewood Cafe will entice you with an intriguing menu. Choose from a selection of Mediterranean and Greek specialties, or American favorites including grilled steaks and our version of the Maryland crab cake. Our popular dining room has the classy, yet casual feel of a European bistro and there is a separate dining room upstairs for private gatherings. Located away from the bustle of the city's historic district, our Zagat-rated restaurant offers plenty of free, off-street parking. If you never visited us, come experience our family-friendly atmosphere and the food that has made Paul's Homewood Cafe an Annapolis favorite for more than 60 years.
"A nice place for a good meal. Not excellent in terms of going on about the excellent cuisine, just a nice place to eat at reasonable prices as compared to the rest of Annapolis, MD. Service was good."

"Our family greatly enjoyed brunch at Paul's Homewood Café on Easter 2013. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. Although it had been recommended to us before, this was our first experience. We will definitely be back."

"Our first time at this excellent restaurant was quite enjoyable; but the consistent excellence at this second visit demonstrated the high quality and consistency of the dining experience. The Greek dishes were delicious and authentically prepared, as were the regional rockfish and usual beef dishes. In addition, in contrast to the Annapolis-typical high prices for average food, Paul's bill seemed fair and appropriate for the dining experience."

"Good food, well served, and in a nicely decorated facility. We celebrated a family birthday and they were very helpful, since we brought our own cake. This was our visit to this restaurant, but definitely would return."

"Everything about our dinner At Paul's was excellent. The food was delicious. The service was attentive but not overdone. We went on a week night and had a wonderful time. The salmon was cooked to perfection. I asked for more vegetables instead of rice and was accommodated. We will be back again soon. This is a gem in Annapolis."

"We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and service we received at Paul's. The food was below par and not reflective of the price charged. We had an early dinner on a Tuesday evening, not exactly peak dining time, and there must have only been one server. The server was not very friendly or attentive. We took friends to dinner there but will not return."

"I went for Brunch and it was fantastic! We were seated and served very quickly. She gave me my complimentary glass of mimosa while we looked at our menus. It's not a huge brunch menu and I'm kind of glad it wasn't a buffet since I didn't want to pig out! I got the Belgian Waffles with Fresh Strawberries and whipped cream, while my husband ordered their Cream Chipped Beef over Potatoes with Eggs. Everything was fresh and flavorful and not too much that we stuffed ourselves silly. The gravy with the chipped beef was perfect - creamy and not too salty. No coffee at the beginning of the meal unless you ask for it; she did ask towards the end of our meal. We were in a very quiet part of the restaurant, so it was very nice and cute."

"The menu had so many great options and our server helped us picked the items we would enjoy best based on our likes. The Mezze option is great so you can try a little bit of everything. DO NOT MISS THE MUSSELS, they were so tasty and cooked just right! Don't forget to try one of their homemade desserts, like the best baklava ever!! I work in the hospitality industry and can't wait to refer guests to try this place."

"The space can quickly become loud and boisterous with a party being hosted on the lower level. While I understand the wine bottle area is the most sought after location in the restaurant, the management should really limit all parties to the upper level and away from dinner guests who are looking to enjoy a quiet dinner and conversation without having to endure party goers spilling out into the rest of the dining room and hovering under the stairs as they become more inebriated. My date and I would've stayed longer if we weren't tired of saying "What?", "What did you say?", "Huh?" countless times to each other because of the increasingly loud wedding party goers standing near our table."

"Our food was delicious. And the pace of the meal was just right . . . plenty of time to enjoy the food and catch up with old friends. One of my favorite spots in Annapolis. While there isn't huge variety on the menu, you know the food will always be good."

"On recommendation from my wife's colleague, we reserved this restaurant for dinner before a midweek concert at the nearby Ram's Head Tavern. Our reservations were for 5:30 and there were plenty of people there already, a good sign. As it was restaurant week, my wife ordered the 4 course package while I samples their small plate selection. Highlights: Oyster Rockefeller, Spanakopita, and the Beef Kabob. The rest of the meal was good but those dishes stood out. The service was excellent. Can't wait to go back."

"This is a really nice place and the food is reliably excellent. You would be very comfortable bringing your parents or friends from the old hometown. The Mediterranean focus makes for very flavorful dishes in appetizers and in mains. Try baklava for desseert. The wines are excellent especially by the bottle."

"Our table was in an area that we were unable to hear each other very well, but the food and service were very good. We were advised making the reservation that we did not qualify for points. Don't know what that was for."

"I took a date to Paul's Homewood Cafe, and it definitely impressed. After ordering, the food arrived quickly. I had the fish special served on a bed of rice with some wilted spinach and a beet puree. My date had the lamb kabobs with grilled vegetables. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portions were larger than expected, but that's definitely not a gripe.
We were both impressed by the attentiveness and warmth the staff. Our waitress seemed to know just when to stop by and ask questions (between mouthfuls, not during!), and generally made herself as unobtrusive as possible.
The dining room has adequate lighting without being bright enough to highlight my many flaws.
Overall, I'd return on my own, with or without d"

"My husband I dined at Paul's on Valentine's Day. While there are some fancier restaurants, Paul's offers up a nice choice as a local spot and the nicest family runs the place. We had truly the best Oysters Rockefeller I have ever had, and although some of the other dishes fell a little short on the prix fixe menu, we still enjoyed it. We have had meals there that were very, very good before, so I would still highly recommend Paul's to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy a nice, quiet and friendly place to dine."

"Having lived in Annapolis for 20+ years, and now living in Seattle area, I always try to go to Paul's on my frequent visits back east. Food is consistently excellent, service is great, see owners there each time I visit. Don't miss Paul's when you visit Annapolis!"

"We enjoyed a great evening. Paul's has the energy of a friendly local restaurant. The fish was very good, as was all of our food. Our waiter could have been a little more knowledgeable of the menu. She had to go back and get an answer for each of our questions about the menu."

"As a semi-regular at Paul's, I found the menu selections appealing as always, and broad enough to satisfy a variety of tastes. The service and ambiance are what one would expect of a neighborhood restaurant dependent on pleasing their regulars. Simply put, Paul's is a venue I always look forward to, and I'm always pleasantly surprised by the variety of new and creative selections, while maintaining the standards that bring me back. At the end of the meal they still had some Galaktobouriko for dessert, thus making this a perfect visit."
