"Our server, Matt, was very attentive and friendly. The food was very good and the portions were pretty large. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!!"

"We went for dinner and the sun was setting. Our table for ten was partly in the sun and I should have asked for another table but thought since the sun was going down, there would be no problem soon. But as dinner progressed, over half the table was in the sun. Even my 10 year old said they should have shades. I got pretty angry afterwards for not speaking up. The restaurant is large and had more empty tables. Always say the wait help/hostess should put themselves in the customers shoes."

"Charging for parking was a very bad idea--this is not a customer friendly restaurant. The food choices were very limited considering the cost for the buffet. The dessert choices were extremely limited and disappointing (and there was no chocolate ice cream; only vanilla!). The food trays were very low to almost empty on many of the food choices. The sushi did not even taste like sushi; the rice was just plain white rice and not made with the sushi (vinegar) ingredients. The noise level in the restaurant was very loud; a very uncomfortable dining setting. A very disappointing buffet & dining experience, considering Pagoda "used-to-be" much better years before when parking was FREE and the food and dessert choices were plentiful and delicious."

"I got the soy sake short ribs and they were EXCELLENT. My husband got the seafood linguine and said it was decent but he wouldn't get it again...he'd get the short ribs!"

"Food was better than expected this time around... I ate here once before years ago, and did not like the food or decor. Unfortunately, this was the easiest restaurant for my parents ot get to, so I begrudgingly gave it another try. We did not order the buffet, but off the menu instead. The food was surprising better than I expected, but unfortunately the decor is dated, and the clientele a bit sketchy...Our waiter was terrific."

"First let me state that initially I was surprised at the restaurants location. It's in a someone less than desirable neighborhood for my taste, however, the buffet more than made up for the location.
I went with my family and my three year old loved the scenic ponds and fish. If you want to keep a little one occupied and interested this is the place for it.
The food was fresh and delicious and I would certainly recommend to others."

"Food was decent, service so-so. Upon mentioning reservation was made through open table, hostess seemed a little irritated, saying "oh, the reservation just came in." Overall, nothing special but not too bad."

"We were very disappointed with the food. We had the Teishoku Plate which cost us close to $20.00 each. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was absolutely horrible. Not sure if that is how they normally prepare it but we usually have a very flaky, crispy, and light tempura batter whenever we've eaten tempura at other restaurants. Their batter was none of that. The shrimp tempura looked like a short pencil with a tiny tail instead of a lead tip and the carrot and potato tempura looked similar to a 4"long french fry. In addition, the teishoku plates here are normally not that expensive plus our price at the Pagoda Floating Restaurant was the early bird special!?!? We definitely would never go back again and surely would not recommend it."

"I haven't been to the Pagoda in a long time and my wife has never been. I surprised her with dinner there. After being seated we ordered the sampler platter (pupu's) and the seafood pasta. The waitress was very friendly and offered to split the meal since we were sharing.
The food was pretty good even if the serving sizes were a bit smaller than I expected. While waiting for the appetizer we went outside and my wife bought some koi pellets and fed the fish. It was fun trying to feed the turtles, walking around the scenic area/water falls, and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. We ordered the lichee sorbet and it was both delicious (with actual lichee pieces and quite large- it was enough for us to easily share)."

"I've been to buffets before, but this is by far one of the better ones I've gone to. The rib eye is hit & miss only because if you go too late then it's been soaking in marinade for a long time and that's all about personal preference. However, I focused more on the seafood and can guarantee that it was amazingly delicious! Though you will need to ask for a shell cracker if you're eating the crab since it's not there with the utensils. But they do have it and they will give you that upon request. Furthermore, aside from the food being great, the service was surprisingly amazing if I do say so myself. The glasses weren't empty for long, coffee was offered (I was freezing so I was thrilled), table was cleaned, and courtesy wasn't a rarity!"

"We had mothers day brunch and when we were done eating, we sat at the table for about 20-25 minutes waiting for our bill. I think his name was Kelley. He asked how old my daughter was and left. We sat there and no one came back to check on us. The servers would walk past and to me, looked like they were avoiding us. Even Kelley came and cleaned the table behind us and acted as if we weren't there. When we FINALLY got his attention, his reply was..."oh you didn't get your check yet".. Come on, if we got it would we still be sitting there????? They all should be AWARE that when there's dirty plates on the the table and no one is eating anymore, WE ARE DONE!!!!!! this left a bad taste for me and I don't know if I wanna bring my family back!!!"

"For the price, I was disappointed how the tables were arranged--cafeteria style. There was no sense of privacy or special feel in the dining experience. The variety of food was good and the taste was good but there are comparable restaurant that is more inexpensive. Appreciated that they accommodated my request for same floor as the buffet area due to elderly parents."

"There was not enough help for a busy day like Mother's Day. We waited a long time for our beverages and for refills. Our waiter did his best and was pleasant.
Pleasantly surprised that there was Guinness on tap! I'd dine there again just to have Guinness!
There was a good variety of food at the buffet. There were both breakfast items and lunch items so the buffet appealed to everyone in our party of 12.
There was parking validation for the people that parked in the Ross' parking lot. Pagoda said that the first 3 hours was free. Although we left within the 3 hours, the parking attendant charged us $3.00."

"The butterfish was good but small portion. The shrimp tempura also tasted good but it was a small shrimp. Would prefer a medium or larger shrimp. The scenery is very nice with a koi fish pond. On the pricey side but ate the early bird special for $18 which was a bit more reasonable."

"This restaurant has a buffet and menu option. I am typically not impressed with buffets so I ordered off the menu, my husband got the buffet. I tasted everything on my husbands plate and was surprised at the quality of the food. Everything was really good! And my meal was excellent. I got the Butterfish which was so moist and tasty. The atmosphere is kid friendly and people definitely come here to get their money's worth. The atmosphere is not great for special occasions, but the water around the restaurant and decore is really nice. We will be returning to Pagoda for sure."

"My food order was wrong and when I pointed out the error (sweet potato fries instead of regular), instead of apologizing the server told me I would have to wait a long time before I could get my fries because the restaurant was busy. I told him that was fine. I could wait. Then as my companions got their food, they brought out my French fries and still no apology or acknowledgement of their mistake. The waitress and food server's poor customer service was very embarrassing in front of my party."

"Buffet great; service wonderful. Really. But I was stunned at the tab (should've asked first). Even after discount for senior citizens, slightly pricey for (a) large family dinner, (b) tasty/wide selection buffet but not foodie food and (c) pleasant but unfancy ambiance.
Koa pond fantastic for adults and kids.
Parking meter confusing to use and inconvenient (pay outside the lot then go back to car to put ticket on dash)."

"The snow crab was freezer burned. The prime rib was dry and hard. The other food was okay, but It was very disappointing because we went there for the crab and prime rib. It is sad the food is not as good as it used to be."

"Keola our server was ever present, friendly, attentive and well-dressed and groomed. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously and the staff was more than willing to accommodate our every requests and needs from the reservations to billing. I'm not a fan of buffets but there was a wide selection to choose from and the price is terrific for what you get... Don't change this. The setting and ambiance could use some updating or "spiffing up" but altogether, a very nice place. The uniforms of the staff are classy and clean and neat looking. Don't change that. Perhaps stay open a little longer than dinner hours for late cocktails and perhaps provide a strolling trio of Hawaiian musicians. That would be a nice touch. Enjoyable evening."

"I loved the kid-friendly environment, where it was safe and comfortable. The dinner buffet had a wide selection of food, the sushi bar was a great hit and complimented the prime ribs and snow crab legs"

"The group that dined here likes buffets because there's something for everybody. We've been going to Pagoda for years to celebrate different occasions. The service has been good in the past, but this time it was exceptional!!!"
