SmithHouse decor includes antique brick arches, copper lighting fixtures, flat screen tvs, and oversized comfy leather booths, five with built-in table-tap beer systems.
In this day and age, beer has gone beyond the standard 3 or 4 national brand choices on tap at your local restaurant or bar. Today beer is becoming a topic of discussion everywhere. We used to go to wine tastings and learn to pair it with food. Lookout wine... Craft beer has taken pairing to a entire new level. and one of sophistication.
"This was our go to restaurant on saturday nights. then they started messing with the menu. The menu is now in its fourth iteration since this very large neighborhood sports bar opened. It is upscale as sports bars go but they just could not seem to find a formula for the food. They recently brought in a known chef from Chicago and he has transformed the menu into a southern style BBQ. There were four of us and we each tried a different entre and the results were good. I tried the BBQ sampler of pulled pork, grilled sausage and brisket and it was very good. The others enjoyed shrimp and grits and other items they really enjoyed. We are going back again pretty quickly."

"Went with my wife and another couple, was scared to learn that the menu changed but when we ordered we all agreed the food was incredible. We had everything from ribs, the bbq trio to kale caesar salad and short ribs. The stout brownie was really good too. Our waiter was helpful and polite. Definitely going again."

"We had such a great time at SmithHouse. There was a group of 9 of us, and the waiter was so patient with our large group. He also had great beer recommendations, and all of the food was so great. I highly recommend the nachos and fried green tomatoes! We will definitely be back to check out the beer tap tables too."

"I've driven by many times and was very hopeful when friends wanted to dine together before catching a movie across the way.
The place is pleasantly arranged with convenient parking and reservations. Walking in, the warm decor of wood and the booth we were seated at was cozy, equipped with two taps. We were given menus with the beers available and food to dine, but unfortunately that is where the welcoming stopped as all the promise of a great event ended there.
We were allured by the oysters and poutine. The first was unavailable and the second had my friends wondering why I got excited to see it on the menu. If you want a place with brews and burgers to watch the game, this place is great. But sadly a lot of others places do t"

"We were there for the NCAA basketball championship, and the place was packed. The service started out fine. However, as time went on, it took 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive, and our food took at least that long as well. We would have ordered more food and drinks, but since it took forever, we didn't. The menu was new, which I didn't like. The BBQ Trio Sandwich sounded like a hearty meal, and I asked the waitress if it was big enough to share. She said yes, so two of us couples split two. We were sorely disappointed when our food came out. My husband would have downed that and the never-ordered additional food. They ran out of pulled pork for our friend's Memphis burger. In all, we were disappointed with the experience."

"I must have had a bad night, but their menu of beers, highly touted and expansive, was inaccurate--I asked for three things that we not available. My meal was fine, but both of my friend's orders were screwed up, and the sandwich my friend had was tasteless and just bad, to the point that he returned it. When we got the receipt, the sandwich was on the bill but they took it off immediately. The service was good--people were nice, the space is kinda cool, but the food wasn't all that notable, to be honest. I may go back again to try it out but we'll see."

"Our Group of 4 had a Fish Taco (Salad's dressings should be "simpler", not trying so hard...or, have just coleslaw), Hamburger (Great), vegetable sandwich (OK, but not inventive) and bowl of clam Chowder. The prices are a bit high for lunch for what it is."

"Pricey (they charged for soda refills which is a personal pet peeve of mine) and the food is just ok. But the service was good and the place itself was pretty nice."
