"I loved the relaxed atmosphere, the food was so delicious, the staff so helpful, for someone who had never had Mexican food before, explaining the dishes, great dining experience."

"Our server Javier was awesome and so was Alexis. Our company is now going back for our quarterly group dinners (18-20) people. Wonderful food and outstanding service. Gracias a todos!"

"We were looking for a place to eat after seeing a show at the Princess of Wales theatre and I based my visit on positive reviews I'd read online.
PROS: The food was delicious and spicy. Nice, pleasant ambiance.
CONS: Drinks good, but pricey. Service a bit on the slow side. After we had sat down we had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come to take our drink orders. After the table had been cleared, we also had to wait 15 minutes to get our bill so we could leave. Good we weren't in a hurry."

"We had 4 different servers come to the table in the 1.5hrs we were in the restaurant causing confusion among the wait staff. This confusion led to our appetizer being completely forgotten and once I reminded the staff about it they simply said "oops sorry". They did bring the appetizer out but it was after the main course and they charged us for it! After we finished the appetizer we waited for 15 minutes for someone to ask us if we wanted desert or the bill and when we got the bill the manager asked us how the meal was at which point I explained we received our appetizer late. Instead of comping the appetizer or offering us something for the mistake he simply said "oh ok well I'll deal with it". Too many good spots in TO, I won't be back."

"Milagro is an authentic Mexican restaurant in downtown Toronto. I have been coming here on and off for about 6 years. This spot NEVER disappoints for either lunch or dinner. The food is excellent, and service is fast and friendly."

"I continue the search for good Mexican food (besides Burritos) in Toronto. The food at Milagro was terrible. The ceviche did not taste fresh and the corn tacos were dry and falling apart and the meat was flavourless. The fish tacos tasted like the chef put a british pub beer battered fish on a floor tortilla and called it a day. The margheritas were also very bad. Overall, I could have made a better mexican meal at home in about 30mins. So much potential for this place but a total letdown."

"The food was authentic mexican - not tex-mex. We enjoyed the enchiladas rojas, as well as the tacos. We also had the guacamole and salsa as an appetizer. If you like guacamole, this was very good. I prefer a spicier guac, but I am unusual that way. We would definitely recomment this place.."

"Milagro on Mercer St. has the best Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico. Their Margatritas are the best! Definitely recommend to make reservations. Normally, the service is very good, but on this occasion, our waiter disappeared for over 90 minutes and we had to flag another staff person to get our bill."

"A freind and I made reservations for an early dinner. The atmosphere was good and the food was tastey and plentiful. The noise drove us crazy. There was no wall hanging or carpets or any soft surfaces to dampen the sound. It bounced off the bare walls, nicely arched as they were. The blender from the bar making those lovely margarita's was enough to make your fillings fall out. Too bad. We will not be back."

"We arrived at the restaurant when it was relatively quiet, and waited well over 1.5 hours to receive our entrees. A very frustrating experience for which the manager was apologetic. We will come back, but if this happens again it will be a write off."

"5 of us went to Milagro to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. When we arrived they sat us at a banquette for 4 - forcing 3 of us to sit uncomfortably on one side. The service went from bad to worse. Drink orders were taken quickly, but were served *after* our appetizers. We had to ask for napkins and silverware. First course arrived quickly, and everything was quite nice. Then the real wait - an *hour* before our mains arrived - AFTER we reminded the waiter. He had completely forgotten about us! When food was finally served it was cold and soggy. Oh, and the limes, that were served with both the drinks and food, were dry. So why bother? At the end of the meal we even had to track down our waiter to get our bill. A complete disappointment!"

"The food is delicious!!! It was my second time eating here and I loved it. We were a group though and some of the other people found it very spicy. Maybe just warn diners on the spice level of there dish? But over all great!!!"

"Went to Milagro on Mercer with a friend for the first time last week. Mexican food was authentic, not texmex. Lots of selection, great food, great margaritas. Noise level was dynamic - sat near the patio with windows open to the street, lots going on. Servers were attentive, but not intrusive. A nice evening."

"Although the food is not entirely authentic, it's the closest one I've found in Toronto. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the only thing I didn't like was that the music was a bit too loud."

"Upon arriving waited much too long for someone to come and take an initial drink order (actually had to hold up my hand to get a waiter's attention). After ordering food, main course arrived before appetizer did - when I complained the waiter just shrugged (didn't seem to care). Finally, overcharged on bill and had to have it corrected. Food is OK but I would not recommend this place to friends due to service issues."

"Love this restaurant. The food is amazing. It's always a real treat for us to go. Only issue is that the music is a little too loud - they could afford to turn it down a notch or two."

"Ceviches were very tasty, as were the tacos. The pulled pork and grilled chicken were OK. Service was spotty, but drinks, including sangria were very good. Value at $40 per person was not very good. Ambiance was OK, definitely a relaxed, leisurely dinner."

"Hi,This visit is my second visit to Milagro. During my first visit, i am very much pleased and the server was very kind and he asked whether this is your first visit or so and he helped us selecting the food. This time, the server hasn't asked anything and moreover he had warned how the food will be? I ordered something in Mole, that test's different and i was not at all liked that food. So i haven't completed that food, i left it and paid for it and walk away. Sometimes, i feel the server has to warn if the food taste is totally a different species. Hope you will take some neccessary action on it.
Thanks."

"We had a group lunch at Milagro on a Friday afternoon. The atmosphere is very reflective of the type of restaurant and adds an authentic flair. The service was prompt and attentive and the food was excellent. By contrast the drinks are almost comically overpriced. Overall a very good experience and we wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend."

"We went here last Friday March 15th for my sister’s 16th birthday (Mercer St. location). I’ve been there 2-3 times before and as usual it was a fantastic experience. If you like sharing & if you like trying different things/flavours, I recommend that you order from the TACOS, TOSTADAS Y QUESADILLAS menu. My favourites are “tacos la perla” (battered snapper, tropical slaw, chile crema in a flour tortilla) & “tacos al pastor” (pork loin, pastor adobo, pineapple, cilantro, salsa verde in a flour tortilla). If you love cheese, try “queso fundido” with chorizo or mushroom, it’s to die for. But what I love most about this place are the people who come and work here and the restaurant’s energetic vibe."

"The food was very delicious at Milagro. Service was good too, but it was very slow. We went on a weekday for lunch and it turned out to be a 2 hours lunch. No server came to take orders or came to get the bill proactively. We had to go around the restaurant to find someone. It was the same for other tables."

"Our waiter was great - helped me introduce my friends to Tequila, as their knowledge of tequila was limited to the schlock you buy at the LCBO. While we didn't necessarily succeed in converting them this time, with the waiter's help and knowledge, we managed to convince my friends that tequila can be a good thing (and once they develop their palates, they'll understand that good tequila is like good cognac). Food is always good here, not your tex-mex junk, but real mexican cuisine... varied, well-cooked, and a fun, comfortable place to enjoy your meal!"
