"Disappointing evening - both our appetizer and entrees had glitches from the wrong appetizer being delivered to our table to our side dishes being with the wrong entrees, overcooked steaks. If we were to give it another try we would stick with the pasta dishes as that seems to be more their comfort zone. We weren't informed of any specials or soup du jour...perhaps our waiter should have written our order down instead of trying to wing it. The other waiters seemed to have more on the ball with their tables."

"My friends each have special requirements: no peppers, no onion, lactose free, no ham, etc. and even vegetarian and each of these was accomodated with ease and precision. Two ordered a vegetable sandwich that used to be on the menu. I was truly amazed and pleased and appreciative and how each was accomodated.
I wish you would take this a step further and develop and sugar free, lactose free dessert other than just the fruit cup, for your menu. Add to it but don't remove anything. You still make the best cannoli this side of Naples, Italy!!"

"I dined at il salici last night. The occasion was a first day, and it couldn't have been any better. Being originally from Montreal, comparable dining experiences in Saskatoon are few and far between. Yet this restaurant reproduced many of the key elements that make a good place great. From the menu design to the plate presentations to the waiters, things were in harmony. The quality of the food phenomenal, and the flavours to remember. On first glance of the menu, prices may see high, but considering the portions and quality prices are fair. My only concern, is how the ambiance might be negatively affected on a busy night considering the small size of the restaurant. Yesterday however we nearly had the place to ourselves, it was great."
