"Great happy hour! They have a fabulous happy hour that includes the whole restaurant, which I love. It does only go til 6:30 so you have to make it there early but it's totally worth it. Food is ok, nothing spectacular but it's good for waht you pay. And its a nice, kid friendly, cute little spot. Will definitely be back."

"Waitress got our drink order wrong. Watress got our food order wrong. The fool all arrived at once. Waitress had limited English language skills. An awful experience considering it is one of our favorite casual places. We will probably try it again."

"My family and I had Easter brunch at Z'Tejas and it was great! They had pictures with the Easter Bunny and was very kid-friendly and fun. All the food on the menu looked great and what we ordered was unique and very good! We will be back."

"I met a business associate at Z'Tejas Gateway, which is the Z'Tejas near PV Mall and can be confused with the z'Tejas at Scottsdale Fashion Square. The table was ready, the service was very attentive but tended to interrupt our conversation to get her duties done quickly. I have the enchilada plate, and it was tasty, one of my favorites on the menu. This is one of the best places for a lunch in the immediate vicinity."

"Despite having been around a long time, as far as restaurants go in metro Phoenix, that is, Z'Tejas continues to uphold its standards for good food, good service and pleasant surroundings. The five of us were all satisfied with our food selections. I had the veggie tacos and was very pleased to find them presented in crispy, thick corn tortillas rather than a bland soft flour as in most restaurants. The service was attentive and pleasant. It really helped making reservations, as the joint was jumping at 6:30 PM on a Saturday night. Will definitely return."

"The restaurant's noise level was so loud, our party of five had difficulty talking across the table. Our service was extremely slow (although we got our dinners in a reasonable time. I ordered the under 550 salmon dinner. I am a home cook and know my way around the kitchen. "Grilled" veggies means something entirely different to me. My veggies arrived barely cooked. I'm not particularly fond of raw broccoli, cauliflower, and zucchini. Not only were they not cooked, not hot, except for the squash, the cruciferous vegetables don't lend themselves well to grilling.
It was a very disappointing dinner for $18.95 for me, and the entire dining experience was bad."

"A wonderful dining experience overall. Our table was ready upon our arrival. We appreciated the warm atmosphere and subdued lightning. Our server was very attentive but unobtrusively so. We enjoyed the house cornbread very much. The appetizers and entrees we ordered were delicious, and the timing of meal was exactly right. The berry, skillet crumble was a delightful end to our meal. We will definitely return."

"While some of our evening was enjoyable, when the music started we could not hear ourselves talk, which made for a frustrating dinner experience. It was much too loud for an indoor restaurant!! We are senior citizens, so we definitely would not return during the nights you have loud music. Our waiter was extremely accommodating, and our birthday gal loved her free dessert -- thank you. The food was quite good and everyone was pleased with their order."
