"We did have to wait about 25 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation, but they gave us a big apology and a free basket of biscuits and banana bread which were out-of-this-world!!! The brunch was absolutely delicious!"

"I've eaten here enough times over the last year to say that both the food and service are consistently excellent. The bill is reliably under $100 for 2, all included, with a couple of drinks apiece -- it's a great value for the quality. I particularly like coming here during the day, the light is very nice in the front room and we always have had a comfortable table and have never been rushed. The sea food dishes, salads and meat dishes are all really tasty, well sized and have the right balance of unexpected flavors & what one wants from "comfort" food."
Special Features: fit for foodies, good for groups, great for brunch, kid-friendly, late-night find, neighborhood gem, romantic, special occasion, great for lunch

"Brunch here was terrific. The apple oatmeal pancakes with creme fraiche were divine. The house-made sausage was also wonderful. We'll be back!!"

"A friend and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch here. The place is beautiful, with a slightly rustic but cool feel; the tables well-spaced. The service was knolwedgable and attentive but not obtrusive. The kale salad was fabulous; the root vegtable soup, disappointing because it was a broth, not a puree, but still delicious. The turkey was nothing special, and the stuffing was disappointing, but the short ribs were wonderful, as were the brussel sprouts. I found the pumpkin bread pudding disappointing -- mushy, uninteresting -- but my friend loved it. The wine list was helpfully organized, and the waiter knowledgable. I'd definitely go back; I bet the food is even better when not constrained by a holiday pris fixe menu."

"I went to Hundred Acres three times in quick succession. Each time, I enjoyed my experience. The food is good for brunch (although, admittedly, I prefer eating dinner out versus brunch). I tend to have lunchy-brunch stuff, where I found the soups to be the most interesting. The polenta and feta dish was a bit too fruity for my taste, and I needed an offsetting salty dish. There is no table bread, unless you ask for it, which I think is slightly strange. Also, it would be helpful to have fine sea salt versus coarse, which tends to concentrate the saltiness in one bit instead of having an even saltiness. The service at this place is great - everyone is attentive and friendly."
