Robin's Nest Restaurant
The Robin's Nest is an independent restaurant devoted to customer service. You are invited for a delicious lunch, intimate dinner, relaxing Sunday brunch or evening cocktail. Our menu offers an eclectic mix of favorites with a French American flair. The eco-friendly restaurant uses the best available ingredients from local farms, featuring many vegetarian and gluten free dishes on the daily menu. Customers are always encouraged to share special food needs with the chef so that every dining experience is completely satisfying.
The Robin's Nest Restaurant is uniquely situated in a beautifully restored Victorian building filled with antiques; and, located in the heart of downtown Mount Holly overlooking the Rancocas Creek. Inside the upstairs seats 60 with the downstairs offering several private dining rooms and an old fashioned bar. Warm weather brings with it the opening of the waterside bar and dining. The outdoor patio often offers live music and is always dog friendly.

"Overall we really enjoyed our dining experience here. The food was very good. My husband had the crab cakes and said he thought they were some of the best he's ever had. He often chooses crab cakes. The grilled shrimp appetizer was a great choice also. We especially enjoyed the cranberry walnut pie for dessert. It was something we'd never had before and was delicious! Two things keep this rating at 4 stars: the beer selection wasn't very good and the service was a bit slow even though they were not very busy. We do love eating outdoors and their patio seating was just as we had hoped. It was relaxed, cozy and romantic. We also very much enjoyed the live entertainment that was featured that evening. Great night out!"

"I went to dinner with two family members and 2 of the 3 dinners were very good. My dinner however was bland. It was a special, veal oscar, and the veal was perfectly cooked but it was not seasoned properly and the hollandiase was tasteless. We loved the chicken cheese steak spring rolls and the mushroom soup was was great. We split a huge piece of red velvet cake for dessert and it was awesome. Coffee was excellent too.
We would go back and I would recommend it to others. just not the Veal Oscar!"

"My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. When we made our reservation we requested outdoor seating and received a table right by the creek. It was such a nice atmosphere. The food was fabulous. We had the andouille sausage appetizer, a salmon entree and the crab cake entree. Everything was well prepared, full of flavor and reasonably priced. There were several interesting drink selections but the Mojito was the best I've had. Deserts are made on the premises and you need to save room! The waiter and staff were very attentive--our glasses were never empty and the table was promptly cleared of dishes. Overall it was a very nice dining experience and we will definitely be returning."

"We sat outside for our meal and the view of the creek was very peaceful. The service was very good and our server had a very good knowledge of the menu and made some good recommendations. The food was outstanding, with a special emphasis on the dessert and the variety of choices for it. I had the french onion soup as an appetizer and it was one of the best I've ever had. The variety of food on the menu for entrees was good with something for every taste. My girlfriend had the key lime pie for dessert and was raving about it. I had the German Chocolate cake and it was amazingly rich. We would highly recommend Robin's Nest to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing or romantic evening."

"I was visiting Fort Dix, NJ and fellow soldiers ate here at lunch and raved about it. I went there that evening and was not disappointed in the least. Food was outstanding, the atmosphere was perfect, the waitress was the best! I can't say anything negative about Robin's Nest in Mount Holly, NJ!"

"This is the 3rd time I ate at Robin's Nest, and I was completely delighted with all 3 experiences. This last time, I was there for a business lunch and we sat outside. Who knew the deck was right on the water and I would see ducks swimming by? I felt like I was on a verandah in New Orleans, tucked away behind the restaurant. Even as the deck filled up with patrons, it was quiet and private. Everything was delicious, from the iced tea served in a pretty glass bottle, to the asparagus, brie, and bacon flatbread pizza lunch special. Always a pleasure to dine here!"

"Our recent meal at the Robin's Nest was to celebrate a military retirement. No one left the table hungry or disappointed. Main entrees range from $18-28, and drinks are a little pricey, but not unexpected in this caliber of restaurant. The desserts are always top notch. The staff was attentive but not overbearing."

"The Robin's Nest is a very cool place to go for brunch. It's nestled in a great part of Mt. Holly limited to a few blocks near the court house. The food is solid, but certainly not great. The specialy drinks are inventive and change every week. Everyone get's a complimentary scone of the day. The service is quick and the meals are served rather quickly as well. The very best part of this restaurant is the outdoor area down on the canal. It's unexpected the first time you go, but it's a beautiful place to have brunch. We also come during the winter and sit in the front near the windows. All in all, we love to take friends and family here and expect to do so for many years to come."

-It was a very cute area, very scenic, and in a nice corner with a lot to walk to and see.

-Even though we waited for an hour to get to our reservation, the hostess was very nice

"What a great nigh! EVERYONE was so friendly, helpful, and very, very nice! I cannot get over how GREAT everyone and everything was from the food, to the atmosphere, to the people (staff and patrons) and the scenic food! And of course, the entertainment, The Jersey Boomers were fantastic as always! Great dinner music! Cannot wait to again and spend more time in this quaint and historical town!

"Chose Robin's Nest for Mother's Day Brunch as it was last minute the only place I could get reservations for a group of 7. Having not been there previously, I wasn't sure what we were in. However, we got there to find it a well oiled machine for a busy day's brunch- food was all fresh and brunch bar was consistently refilled. The service was great- seeing I had my hands full with young children at the brunch bar, a member of waitstaff overheard me tell my son I would try to find strawberries for him. The next thing I knew, the waiter came over to us with a plate of strawberries "so that I didn't have to wait in line with the kids". Robin's Nest does a great job balancing better dining while accomodating families- we'll definitely be back!"

"My girlfriend and I chose to visit the Robins Nest after a recommendation of a friend. We were not diappointed. We sat outside on the patio next to the canal that runs through Mt. Holly. There was a live band this particular evenings and they were good. The food could not have been better. I had a chicken dish with andouille sausage and my girlfriend had a strip steak cooked to perfection. Wait staff were friendly and gave you a family feel. Patio was fully booked and there was still room for some to dance. To summarize this, go and visit the Robins Nest and if you have the ability, sit on the patio, you will not be disappointed."

"Had a great couple of beers and food on a beautiful evening at Robin's Nest, with "Sloppy and the Joes" playing across the canal. Great time, great music, good food - couldn't have asked for more for a Friday night out with my wife. Have eaten here before indoors, but recommend (weather permitting) the outdoor scene, especially with when a band like "Sloppy..." is playing!"

"We have been to this place several times and have always enjoyed the food. The clam chowder soup was very good and all of the desserts were good as well. The restaurant has many antiques in it that were salvaged from other buildings before their demolition that add to the experience."

"My sister and I brought Mom to Robin's Nest for breakfast on Sunday - not our first time at the restaurant (far from it), but our first time for breakfast. Breakfast did not disappoint. "Had a traditional lunch meeting with a friend and everything was great, as usual. The place was humming with lots of people but we were seated immediately (it was good to have made a reservation) and well-attended to. I ordered the Bleu Lime salad, which I'd had some time ago, and was pleased to remember how delicious it was. My friend enjoyed her chicken Caesar. We couldn't resist ordering from the dessert tray - always a difficult choice from beautiful pastries. No one rushed us as we sat and chatted. A very pleasant experience."

"Nice place, food was good - excellent deserts. Appetizers - Flat Bread Pizza was not worth the $9.95 - 3 very tiny pizza's slices with not much on them and tasted OK - expected it to be more gourment. Lunch for two - 1 very small appetizer (enough for one), 2 salads (normal size), 2 ice tea, 2 coffee, 1 medium size dessert - expect to pay almost around $50."

"Have been going to The Robin's Nest for years. I particularly love that the restaurant has a real personality -- even the powder rooms merit a visit -- and the food is always good, fresh and well-prepared. It is becoming more and more difficult, with all the cookie cutter chains, to find a place that is unique and interesting and this restaurant fills the bill."

"Nine of us celebrated St Patrick's weekend enjoying Irish-themed drinks and meals, as well other creative dishes. Listening to Rich Carty on hammered dulcimer, highlighted
by an Irish stepdancer, enhanced the festivities. Our group of hammered dulcimer players and other musicians make this an annual tradition now, with our family and friends. Sumptuous desserts topped off the very special evening.
We all enjoy lunch and brunch at the Robin's Nest at every opportunity as well. It's a local gem, and the staff always makes us feel welcome and appreciated!"

"Had a late breakfast there, and the food was great! The price was very reasonable. We spent less than $25 dollars for the both of us. The decor was very nice, with the exception of all the fake flowers..... I would have given it 5 stars but it is almost impossible to find parking. We ended up parking about a block away. Not because the restaurant was crowded, but because there is no parking."

"I had the pork chop and it was excellent. Another person at the able had a different pork dish and it was disappointing. Sevice was excellent. They need to work on their other dishes. Desert was yummy. Do not order espresso. A doible espresso was the size of an x-small espresso. I'll try again hoping the meat dishes improve."

"We booked the reservation at Robin's Nest to have a special birthday dinner for my husband with his older cousins who drove in from Virginia for the day. I knew they would love the restaurant, but I wasn't sure how my seven year old son would do. He found something on the main menu that he loved and the server and the atmosphere were so warm and friendly that he ate and visited during the whole dinner without even asking to play games on his iPod. Of course he loved the birthday cake with candles at the end of the meal too.

"We were a party of seven and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff was wonderful and very knowledgable We were treated with the utmost courtesy. The food was delicious.
This wasn't my first time dining at the Robin's Nest and so I suggested it for our "girls night out". I knew we would be pleased with the choice. And they didn't disappoint."
