Headwaters Restaurant at Millcroft Inn & Spa Reviews List
Headwaters Restaurant at Millcroft Inn & Spa
A passion for pleasing the senses is apparent in the four diamond award winning Restaurant at the Millcroft. Executive Chef James Buder's exquisitely conceived menus, skilful preparation and creative presentation guarantee an experience which will satisfy and inspire even the most discerning palate. From a hearty country breakfast to savory lunches to sumptuous dinners daily, a dining experience in "the pod" overlooking the rushing falls of Shaw’s Creek is simply not to be missed.
"We have been to the Headwaters Restaurant on several occasions and were very dissappointed this visit. The food proportion were extremely small. There were 4 in our group and 3 of them were very dissatisfied with their meals. The rissotta was made with barely and di not resemble the tradtional dish. The "deconstructed" chick pot pie was more like stew. If it were not for the friendly service and the atmosphere it would not have been an afternoon worth enjoying. The prices do not warrant the value of the cuisine. We do not feel that we would visit the Headwaters Restaurant in the future nor recommend to family and friends.
Very sad and unfortunate as we always looked forward to our meas at the Headwaters Restaurant in the past."

Review 2 for Headwaters Restaurant at Millcroft Inn & Spa
"I went there for a special occassion and was able to acquire a table in the pod overlooking the waterfalls ... the view was fantastic, the service was phenomenal, and the food was absolutely magnificent!! ... I had the lamb, and my girlfriend had the short ribs, and they were both simply exquisite!! ... The only thing I wish is that they hadn't taken off the Muscovy Duck Breast appetizer they used to have on the menu, but that didn't take away from the experience still being superb ... They also have very nice accomodations and an excellent spa there ... even the full breakfast the following morning was delicious! I highly recemmond the Millcroft Inn to anyone, especially a guy looking to win some points with his special lady!!"

Review 4 for Headwaters Restaurant at Millcroft Inn & Spa
"We went for my husband's 40th birthday, and were seated right by a window with a view of the waterfall. Absolutely gorgeous setting.
Our servers were very helpful and knowledgeable, friendly without being obtrusive.
I had the chicken liver paté to start, followed by the beef main; my husband had the clam chowder cappuccino and the lamb shank. The food was outstanding. No complaints whatsoever - interesting flavours, perfectly prepared, beautiful presentation.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special evening."

"I requested a waterfall/pond view and we were front & center. Our waiter went beyond his call and got me a cream brulue that was not on the menu. I call that an excellent attention grabber."
