"This was my third time here at the Melting Pot, and each time i come here, i feel very welcomed and love the experience, it is a very different experience from other restaurants, where else do you get to cook your entree on your table?!? Love this place, people say it is a little pricey, but i think every once and a while it is a nice night out. I took my mom for her mother's day present and she loved it!"

"This was the BEST Romantic Night Out my Fiance' and I have had in a long time. We celebrated his Birthday and the Melting Pot over-exceeded my expectations! They took care of EVERYTHING as far as roses, champagne, etc! All we had to do was show up! Our Waitress, Wendy, was AWESOME!"

"The food was, as always, terific. It was presented in a beautiful way and the flavor matched the presentation. However, if you don't have incredible service to match the food, the restaurant will be found wanting. Our waiter was.......INCREDIBLE! He presented to food well, explainded was the sauces were each used primarily for, and even brought me an extra cup of dark chocolate for my dessert.........wife likes milk chocolate."

"For our anniversary we decided to take a trip to the city, not knowing much about The Melting Pot we chose this for our romantic dinner getaway! We booked online made reservations for two and in the special requests asked for the anniversary or date night out package, which was INCREDIBLE! This place has the BEST service I've ever experience! We walked in and was automatically greeted with smiles had our choice of waiting at the bar or in the front. We waited only maybe 2 minutes before we were seated at an extravagant table! Champagne, roses, champagne glasses, picture frames, a very romantic private booth! We got to take all of this and more home with us! Four course meal you don't leave hungry! I would recommend to anyone!!"

The servers are smart and fast and the flavors of food and sauces make this one of the most fun dinners out you can possibly have. It takes a while to get through a few courses, but the food, fun, conversation and flavors make this more than any meal in town... a full experience. Great for special occasions and older teens to older adults. Kids will get bored here. Good drinks and wine list, great cozy booths and tables make it feel somewhat private, so it's the perfect place to catch up with friends, family or a romantic dinner. For a chain, this St. Louis (Delmar Loop) location is outstanding. Parking in back is sometimes busy and the Loop area is fun."

"Every time I dine at The Melting Pot, I leave wishing that I could come back everyday! The staff is always friendly and courteous. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable about the menu items and has always been very helpful when answering any and all of my questions. I've always had a reservation, but from what I've seen, other peoples wait time to be seated has been very short. Last, but not least, the food is amazing! And the updated menu has made things even better! I highly recommend it!"

"The food was excellent. However, the service was questionable. The server recommended a bottle of wine when uncorked is yours. It definitely was not a sweet white. It was tart. She responded,"sugar will give you a headache hangover." Any nice restaurant should carry ketchup and cocktail sauce. She said they stopped offering that 3yrs. ago and would try to find some or check next door at a fast food place. Really? I left the table to inquire from another waitress after 10-15 min. & she brought some out for me. This is the second time I've been here where the server tries to avoid getting ketchup by suggesting it is not a stock item & will be inconvenienced by going next door to obtain. When paying $200.00 for a meal, please stock both."

"We spent over 3 hours eating/waiting. People had come in and left with the four courses before we had our chocolate let alone our main course. We were constantly forgotten at our table. We waited 30 mins between our cheese and salad which they almost forgot. Another 20 between salad and main course and 40 between main course and chocolate. I am assuming that because of the poor service we got our waiter either Daniel or David wanted to get us some more things to dip for chocolate. It would be okay if we didn't have to wait another 25 mins for that to come back after we were done with everything else. We waited for the bill for 30 mins. I then got up to find it and he delivered the wrong one. Bad first time. I won't come back"

"Even with a reservation, we waited to be seated for at least 30 minutes. I don't see what a point of a reservation is if we have to wait anyway. I love your food and the service once we were seated was awesome, but that is too long of a wait (especially for the cost!). I was also with my Dad, and he said he has consistently had this issue with the Melting Pot before (he used to go to Chesterfield location), and that the only reason he came back was because I wanted to. Please fix this issue."

"I loved the place! We had the four course meal. The spinach and artichoke fondue was very good. The salad was small but appetizing. The main course, the meats(there's a vegan selection and a gluten free menu upon request), were great! The burners on the table make for a fun evening. You cook your own meat in broth of your choice. We had the one with the red wine. It was ok. The sauces were a bit strange for my taste. The blue cheese one goes well with the mushroom tops! The chocolate fondue at the end was fabulous! We will def go back!"

"We had a great birthday dinner for my husband! Our server was excellent, and knew how to create a "take your time and enjoy yourself" feel...this is a nice departure from the typical rushed steak house experience....melting pot is an event! Not the place to eat and run...but this is a good thing if youre looking for a relaxed meal!"

"Our server, Steve, was fantastic. He was super friendly and imformative. The owner stopped by and chatted with us several times as well, and we had a really nice evening. The food was great and it was a good way to spend a girls night out!
It was a little hot in the restaurant, that is the only thing i would change."

"It was my wife's birthday celebration. Our family was really looking forward to this. When I made my reservation, I made a note that it was my wife's birthday; then I told the hostess and then I told the waiter. After all of this, her birthday was not acknowledged, yet at an adjacent table, a birthday was acknowledged, I was very embarrassed. We paid for 3 meals and 2 children's meals, but I think we got cheated on the dessert. It looked like there were only provisions for 2 of the meals, not 3. Why didn't I say something? It didn't really hit me until I had paid the almost $200 bill and it was too late. For $200, I expect a better experience."

"Pleasant atmosphere and quiet. Great for a group, to celebrate, or just to enjoy an evening with someone else. You pick how many courses you want to have; even if you just want dessert! The service is wonderful and they can accommodate food allergies as well."

"We went for some chocolate fondue for dinner. The chocolate was warm, creamy and rich. It was especially fun seeing the the flambe over the marshmallow and graham cracker crumbles on our "smores" fondue. Unfortunately, the evening was disappointing because of the incredible delay. After arriving 5 minutes before my nighttime reservation, we had to wait nearly 35 minutes before being seated. We were offered the opportunity to go to the bar, however me and my companion were both underage so alcohol was not an option. Surprisingly, for a fairly expensive restaurant, there was not even a mention that we would be enduring a long delay. Even after being seated, we were not approached by a waiter for another 10-15 minutes!"

"Wonderfully decadent and exquisite flavors the entire night. The staff was on the ball and high energy the entire night and kept themselves scarce when hints were given that my date and I would like to be alone. It was my first time trying many of the foods I had ordered and I cannot complain for a moment about how delicious every course had been. My one and only complaint is the price. I am always one for paying when something is worth the cost but for food to be worth more than $120 and only be meant for two people is a bit unreasonable considering the portions."

"In the last few years I feel like my wife and I have dined here around a dozen times, and it has always been about the atmosphere and unique dinning experience. The last two times, however, we've actually had a server (Jennifer) who stood out as someone we will ask for every time we dine there. At this price point, service should go beyond telling us your favorite salad and saying that you enjoy drinking the wine I picked out. In this case, I feel that needs were met without thinking and wants were provided without asking. Our son is six years old and was treated with respect and had an unbelievably rewarding experience."
