Welcome! The Red Stag Supperclub blends old school Wisconsin supper club charm with a contemporary passion for delicious, sustainable, farm-to-table food (CLICK HERE to see our menus). Located in the "Nordeast" Arts District just across the river from downtown, the Red Stag Supperclub opened its doors in November 2007 as the first LEED-CI Certified restaurant project in Minnesota. Red Stag serves brunch, lunch and dinner and has late night live music several nights a week. We accept reservations for half of our dining room and leave the other half open for walk-ins.

"My salad was pretty wilted, and the special was Sole, which was very bland. My guests had the pork schnitzel, which had little flavor, and the pork belly was undercooked and totally fat.
the mussels were questionable and we have all had much better other places.

"The food was tasty, but quite small portions for the price. I realize Americans have a pathological and unhealthy affection for large portions, so I am not advocating meals bigger than your head; but Red Stag could up the portions a bit, or drop the prices, or both ;-) Still, very nice feel to the place, the food was good and artfully presented and the service very friendly and welcoming. I also love that they made the effort to have their building LEED certified and care about where their ingredients come from!"

"Most everything we ordered was very good. However the trout, which was my meal was over cooked and the piece of fish was very thin and small. The shrimp, mussels and broth were actually better than the fish itself, and they were tasty. The dessert was one of the best we have had in a long time. I would have rated this place higher if my one meal was up par with the rest of our dinners (salmon and a steak that was on special). Our server was not very attentive and there were times we had to flag her down to order wine, etc. She didn't really check to see how we liked out food etc. Maybe we hit them on an off night. I will try again because the place has potential and next time I will stay away from the trout."

"The Red Stag is a fascinating restaurant situated in a made-over vintage business district in NE Minneapolis. Combining old school dark wood supper club class with industrial style vibe, it offers the cozy friendliness of a neighborhood bar with the imaginative menu of a gourmet chef's club. The wait staff is a varied cast of characters with little in common between them other than attentive and friendly service and enthusiasm for the creative entree offerings they deliver. The restaurant boasts an impressive list of wine choices, and the original entree creations feature organic and locally produced ingredients. The bill is manageable and appropriate for the meals delivered. Enjoy!"

"This was our third time at Red Stag. Each time, we've gone with different relatives or friends, all of whom have enjoyed the food a great deal (as did we). Our most recent visit did not get a higher rating simply because the service was rather slow & not very attentive. We waited a pretty long time for drinks & they didn't come all at once. We again waited longer than usual to order. We hadn't experienced this before & won't let it deter us from returning. The food has been consistently delicious & that's more important to us than spotty service."

"The halibut special was GREAT. So fresh and light, yet it managed to be filling. A side of delicate, fresh vegetables over a pea puree was delicious. Service was good, if a bit slow, especially on ordering and then getting drinks from the bar. The starter salad was tasty and the dessert, key lime brulee, was perfect."

"The halibut special 3 of us had was excellent....fish properly cooked, the "smushed" peas were excellent, although the onion mashed potatoes were somewhat overwhelmed by the sauce.
The "2 pork" offering our 4th party had was described as outstanding...he clearly enjoyed it.
The chocolate dessert we had was superb...richly flavored and much enjoyed.
The only real negative we would offer would be the quality of the bread, which, for some of us at least, is always an important part of any meal...it was stale and dry, and way below the standards of the rest of the meal.
Overall, though, a very good meal and we will certainly return."

"We went to Red Stag in our continual search for a "Wisconsin Fish Fry". The fish was heavily battered and a bit soggy. The smelt fries were a treat. We loved the ambience, and would definitely go back....for a burger. As for the Fish Fry, we are still looking on this side of the river."

"Absolutely LOVED it! The food was fantastic, out of this world, actually...and that is saying a LOT since I consider myself a "snoodie foodie." I only eat organic, local food (ESPECIALLY meat)...so I never get the chance to eat meat at restaurants. I got the chicken breast and my boyfriend got the tenderloin...we were amazed. I wouldn't recommend coming here for dinner if you're in a rush, good food takes time to prepare! Although it was a bit "slow" service, it was perfect for us. We had time to enjoy our drinks, appetizer, great bread, good conversation, and the ambiance the place had to offer. This would be a great place to go for dates, girls nights, family dinners."

"I love the Red Stag. They have great beer, super food, and the wait staff is always friendly. I have been there twice now. Once for dinner, and most recently with friends for brunch on my birthday. Everyone loved their meal. I had the eggs Benedict and it was awesome. I wanted to drink the hollandaise sauce. Unfortunately there were no leftovers to take home because I ate the whole thing, which doesn't happen often. For dessert I had the stout ice cream. That was the only thing that was just OK. It just tasted like a really light beer-flavored ice cream. Not bad, though. At night it gets a touch loud, but not ridiculously so. I would highly recommend the Red Stag."

"The Red Stag has a terrific vibe and ambiance that is contemporary, vibrant and modern. I love the old wood loft look and feel of the place and the bar is inviting. The menu is a bit adventurous for my tastes but it's interesting to experience different takes on classic dishes—definitely not what you'd get from the likes of Applebee's or Perkins. Service is usually good, the servers are hip-looking and upbeat. Great for brunch or for a date. Love the abundant parking; it's easy to get in and out."

"We had a great dinner at Red Stag Supper Club. The staff was very friendly and the food was wonderful. We had the Charcuterie plate which was very tasty but could have used more mustard. Then we ordered the Beef Tartar which was served with homemade potato chips which were delicious and a blue cheese spread which we loved. It was my favorite of the night. I finished my meal with the lamb special which was lamb served 2 ways - chops and boneless. The chops were by far the best thing on the plate.
My only grip is that I had indicated when I made reservations that we were celebrating my birthday and they did not follow up with that.
Overall, great experience and I would go back again."
