"The fish was outstanding! I had the King Salmon and my husband had the tuna. Both meals were fresh, flavorful and cooked just right, not dry or tasteless as fish can be if not cooked correctly. I recommend Bristol to any fish lover."

"I consider Foodie food to be what I call "fancy food," I.e. food that I wouldn't cook at home with wonderful flavors. Bristol is much more simple than that. You will get fresh food (seafood flown in twice a day from all over the world), & the chef WILL cook it perfectly. You won't get fancy sauces, but lightly seasoned fresh food. The waiter was very attentive and moved at the right pace, so the service was great. The place could use an upgrade with new seats, etc, but we didn't find the décor too distracting. We went early for a 5:30'ish dinner. It was quiet and slow at that point. Overall, a good experience with good food. Nothing knocked my socks off, but I couldn't complain about anything."

"The food was really quite good. Everything went well. The only negative comment that I would have is that the bacon was NOT cooked. There were only about five pieces left and they were limp and rubbery. (I did not take a piece) I also noticed that there was a problem keeping the food in supply. For example the scrambled eggs ran out as did several other items. As a result we had to go back to the food line."

"I took my Grandma to eat here at Bristols for the first time and she didn't like her food but she liked my food. So we told our waiter and he went off with an attitude on my grandma about she don't like her food. This happened the day before Mothers Day. Service was horrible."

"Restaurant was moderately full and had buffet service. I say kid friendly because there were plenty there. The table we were seated at had a cupful of crumbs and other discarded food - olive green bean etc. apparently it didn't catch anyone's eye but mine although the waiter did finally clean it up. Food was tasty some items excellent but I wasn't aware of the Sunday brunch fare and would have preferred a menu selection"

"This was our first time as a family at Bristol's and everyone had something good to say about it, even our 11 year old. Our son said he wanted to go back again - a big surprise. He said the food was good and he liked the person that waited on our table. We plan to make another trip some day soon."

"The overall experience was very nice...I had the Crab Cakes, but I was surprised they did not hold a candle to sister J.Gilbert's.(sorry) The Caesar Salad was great and my husbands fish & chips were very good...but at 23$ and a small portion at that, they should be. "From the moment we walked through the front doors it was a great experience. The manager greeted us and told us he'd stop by our table to get our feedback, and he did. There were several items on the Sunday Brunch that I got to try for the first time (smoked mackerel, smoked mussels) and truly enjoyed! The selection of food was great as well as the quality. My husband even made the comment that the iced tea was perfect. Carly did a great job at keeping our drinks replenished and making sure our needs were met and the whole staff cleared our plates as soon as we were finished. We will definitely visit for Sunday Brunch again and I highly recommend!"

"We asked for a quiet table because my father is hard of hearing, and hears even less when there is energètic noise around.
The staff accomodated us by giving us the room at the farthest back possible.
Also, I don't know if it was intentional, but they didn't put anyone esle back by us until towards the end, and it was a very quiet couple.
I appreciate this to no end. We enjoyed our supper with him thoroughly, and didn't have to scream to be understood.

"I have been going to Bristol's for years, both for special occasions and for routine dining. I have never been disappointed. In all those years, I have never had bad service or a bad meal. Bristol's is consistantly excellent and I will remain a loyal customer!"

"Our group of seven just enjoyed Easter Brunch at Bristol. From 88 to 15 years old, each of us found many delicious items to tempt and to satisfy our appetites. The service was attentive, but not intrusive, and we were blessed to be seated in one of the small private and quiet rooms which allowed us to enjoy wonderful conversation with one another. Our whole experience was delightful!"

"The food tasted fine but the quantity of selection was miniscule, especially for a $30 buffet. The price was way too high for the selection of items. The dessert items appeared to be thrown together vs planned out.
We will not be attending a buffet at Bristol's again anytime soon."

"We were very pleased with the Easter brunch. The offerings were plentiful, fresh, hot, and flavorful. Our waiter was attentive even though the restaurant was crowded and he was very busy. We would recommend the brunch at Bristols anytime."

"This restaurant usually has exceptional food & drinks. Would NOT recommend Easter buffet (& would not go back for any buffet). Lines were so long & cramped that hot food was lukewarm by the time we got back to our table. Buffet tables messy. -- appeared restaurant unable to keep up with crowds. Didn't see any special foods for Easter (brunch felt "generic", not special for a holiday). I know they specialize in seafood, but there were few choices available (other than beef) for non-fish eaters. Thought that ham, lamb or even chicken would be available too. No Easter desserts (decorated cookies, etc) - just the usual brownies, carrot cake, etc. Disappointing!"

"We dined at this great restaurant many years ago when we first moved to St. Louis and decided to revisit for my birthday treat. The decor is neat, older style, dark wood trim and Tiffany lamps etc., server's very nice in their black and white 'proper' waiting uniforms. the food is always excellent, the service also extremely good and this is obviously 'the place ' to go for Sunday brunch, I believe they we're expecting 1500 guests the next day !
We would recommend this restaurant and will return, however we did feel a little overdressed as mostly all the other diners were wearing blue jeans!

"Had a gift card, if it weren't for that I would have considered this a bad night out. Appetizer was inedible and the entree came out after 2 bites of the salad. We had to try to eat everything at once to avoid cold entrees. Waiter removed the cost of the appetizer and was apologetic about the too quick entrees, but there wasn't a hold lot he could do."
