"The fish is always fresh and goo, whether it is in a salad or the plate. I like that they give you non-stop biscuits and a menu with sandwiches, salads and entrees either for lunch or dinner. The service is always great. An nice place for a businees dlunch or dinner--yet casual. They do have private rooms and coves."

"Half price bottles of wine on Sunday are a super deal. The crab cakes are always great. The lobster macaroni and cheese just misses the mark. The cheese and macaroni are definitely comfort food, but the lobster in it was shamefully tough and overcooked."

"The food selection was wonderful. Maybe would have liked another meat or two at the chef's carving station. Also, would have liked to have seen a few more choices on cold salads. Other than that, we really enjoyed the taste and qaulity of the food."

"We have been to Bristol several times over the years. The food is always excellent. Every once in awhile, though, service suffers a bit. Our server was mostly indifferent and not very friendly, unfortunately. It was clear he would have preferred to be somewhere else. When we go out to splurge and celebrate a birthday, poor service is the last thing we want."

"Our dining experience was excellent. We were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary, and our son's 21st birthday on a Friday in Lent. We wanted to have a vast variety of wonderful seafood. The waitress acknowledged both of our occasions, and gave us great service. We all enjoyed our seafood dinners and vowed that we will be coming back."

"Bristol turned an already special night for me and my 8 year old daughter into an unforgettable lifelong memory. We set out to a 'fancy restaurant' to celebrate her good grades. When we informed our server, Trey, about the occasion - he was genuinely excited. The food was phenomenal, but I can't tell you how special Trey and the rest of the staff made my daughter feel. She was blown away. After enjoying calamari, soups, lobster and creme brulee, the manager, Robert, came to our table and personally congratulated my daughter and presented her a Bristol mug. Her eyes lit up and she was deeply grateful and thankful. I highly recommend Bristol ... they get it on a different level and truly want your experience to be the best."

"We had to call saying we were running late (20 minutes late on a Friday night) but we were seated quickly. We asked to be seated away from the kitchen and our request was granted. The food was excellent, but I knew it would be since I ordered my favorites (lobster bisque and crab cakes). My guest from another state ordered lobster bisque and tuna and said it was wonderful. Our server was very good and helpful with the menu selections. Around 7:45 the restaurant looked pretty full and it was hard to get our server's attention, but he still did a very good job. The Ghirardelli chocolate dessert needs to be ordered with the entree and it was delicious. A delightful dining experience."

"The most outstanding aspect of this restaurant is the excellent selection of high quality seafood and fresh fish. I had the seared tuna and it was an excellent piece of fish, generous in portion size, and seared perfectly. The service was very attentive and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only caveat is we went on a slow night; I don't know how the restaurant functions when it is busy, but our experience at Bristol's was excellent."

"The food was very good and so was the entire experience. They even let us use a coupon that was for a different location. That kind of service will bring me back to a place. The only constructive comment I will make is that the food, especially the asparagus had too much of a smoky flavor. I felt like some of the food was cooked directly in smoke. Otherwise a great dinning experience."

"Glad we made our reservation, and they got us right in. Others that were just showing up were quoted 1-1.5 hour wait. Food was FABULOUS, can't wait to go back. I've lived in Hawaii and Seattle, and the seafood is every bit as fresh at Bristol's."

"I have to say that Bristols was awesome. The whole atmosphere was something they should be proud of in what they have to offer. The food was excellent, a bit pricey but the quality of the food makes up for the price. The staff was awesome, was always coming by to check on us, and it takes a lot to impress me but Bristols was impressive. It will be a place that we shall return upon ocassions for those special ocassions. I would encourage anyone to try Bristols. Thank you all for a wonderful Valentines Day."

"Overall the atmosphere and service is quite excellent. Ordered the crab cake
appetizer which tasted a bit dry (but loaded with crab meat). I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and it came undercooked. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, she apologized very politely and took my plate back to the kitchen. When I recieved my food back, it was the same piece of salmon! All I could think about the rest of the evening was whether or not this broke a health code. (not to mention my girlfriend was done eating by the time it came back 20 minutes later)."

"This was our first visit to Bristol for the Sunday brunch, and WE WILL BE BACK!!! We checked in for our reservation and were seated very quickly. Our waiter was attentive without being clingy, and was very efficient. The spiced crawfish on the cold seafood station were excellent, and the seafood cioppino was TO DIE FOR.

Check out Bristol for the Sunday brunch. It was $20 a person, and worth every penny. We actually expected to pay more for what we enjoyed, so the bill was a nice surprise."

"It was a memorable experience throughout the evening. The setting was friendly,relaxing, warm and welcoming. The server flowed with charm, friendliness, and understanding of the restaurant cuisine to meet our every need and want. Our water glasses never went a minute half full without being topped off. The server made sure that our biscuits where hot and plentiful. The food was served gracefully and heated with expressions of delight and in a timely manner."

"My husband, sister, brother-in-law, mom, and dad all enjoyed their food very much. As someone who does not enjoy seafood or fish of any kind, I did not truly enjoy my meal. There was only one chicken dish on the menu which was quite spicy. Bristol's used to have a pan seared chicken that was delicious, but is no longer on the menu! The ratings above are from my husband, who loves the food. The dining experience was wonderful and our server was fabulous."

"My husband as dined at Bristols a number of times but during lunch. This was our first experience on a busy weekend (Valentine's Day). They removed the normal roomy square table tops and replaced them with as many round tops as you could fit in this large restaurant. This was fine but at 7pm our waiter got slammed with 5 new tables. He did very well after forgetting the drink order and kept checking in as the kitchen was backed up and it took 45 minutes for our main entrees to come out. It was definitely apparent they cared more about getting as many people in as they could vs being attentive to the people already there. Given how crowded it was, it was definitely not the romantic atmosphere one hopes for to celebrate an occasion."

"This was not my first visit to Bristol Seafood Grill, but may very well be my last. The service was very poor. Just asking to see the drink menu or dessert menu seemed to be too much for our waitress to handle. I had intended to order another drink, but was out of the mood and I just wanted to leave. I expected to receive a dessert for my birthday, however they gave me my entree for free. I ordered the big seafood combo platter, but it was disappointing except for the grilled asparagus."

"My husband and I celebrated our 28th anniversary at Bristol's on Saturday night. Usually our favorite restaurant, this time it was unspectacular. Since we have everything from drinks to dessert when we go, we often split the seafood grill so we don't overeat. We have always liked it - what have you done to it?

We come to Bristols because we have believed it emulated somewhat healthy restaurant eating. This seafood grill was extremely soaked in butter. Worse of all - the shrimp and scallops were very spicy and peppery. Although I know that in many restaurants overspice something is known as flavoring, that has not been the case at Bristols in the past.

I like NO spice at all - why now is this Jambalaya without warning?"

"The Tasting Menu was worth the trip in the rain.Roasted Beet Salad,was a great combination with beets, gorgonzol, pears & candied walnuts. Wild Mushroom Crepe was lovely, but the crepe was a little thick and overpowered the mild flavors, good combo tho. The Seared Scallops were FANTASTIC. Scallops perfectly seared & tender, wide parpadelle noodles were new to me, but yummy. Adding braised beef was BRILLIANT. The root veges were crisp & a great addition. Chocolate Butterscotch Tart was my only let down. The pastry was very hard & didn't add to the dessert. The chocolate top was too hard to cut. I would love to have had the butterscotch in a chocolate balloon bowl. Wine pairings were perfect. Reisling, pinot noir, merlot & dessert champagne."

"Food was great. Service was good. I was sorely disappointed however that no one wished grandma a happy birthday. It was her 85th birthday, that day. The restaurant was notified in the comments section on the reservation. It was visible to me on the confirmation page, so I am sure it was visible to them....... I wasn't looking for anything special, dessert came with the meals we ordered, but it was very disappointing that NO ONE acknowledged her special day........."

"Our dinner was great. The food tasted very fresh. However, we went to dinner for the 4 course chef. Meal and they were 86ed before our 7:00 seating. "Brunch was mildly disappointing. The omelette bar is the best feature, however the buffet line is lackluster and not particularly interesting. Standard breakfast fair with a few lunch items. The roast beef was juicy but not flavorful. The dessert bar had several selections, but the bread pudding was tasteless and the pecan pie was just a sugar glob with pecans on it. The orange juice tastes like it is from concentrate. The dining experience was not what we expected."

"Bristol's is always enjoyable. Be sure to try the crabcakes...they're the the best we've ever had! They also have a nice wine list if you are so inclined. If you sign up for their birthday club you can enjoy a free entee up to a $25 value. It's one of the best places for seafood in thew area."

"We arrived early to enjoy the happy hour specials at the bar. Both of the bartenders were very attentive & made great recommendations - the margarita float and the goat cheese bruschetta. Amanda took care of us at our table, and she was a professional server. Everything was great – except when my meal was originally served (lightly blackened Walu – as Amanda suggested), it looked like 4-5 scrap pieces of some kind of fish? Upon our request, Amanda quickly replaced the questionable fish with a beautiful filet of Walu. It was delicious! And, whoever made the cappuccino – kudos to you! It was perfect! Thanks to a great New Year’s Day meal, Bristol. Other than the bump in the road with my entrée, we had a wonderful experience."

"The restaurant had many folks working there that evening. We were greeted in a timely manner and ushered to our table. Our server explained the menu, however did not seems to expand on what would have been helpful to us. After our meal it took what seemed forever for him to show up. Food taste was excellent."

"Great food and service. This was or 15th year in a row for Christmas Eve Dinner at Bristol's. Food is consistently good. It seems like every year there is a new fish or two to chose from. I tried the Butterfish . . . true to its name it tasted just like butter.My daughter is very picky about her steaks. She likes them well done, but not burned. The Chef did such a good job that my daughter said it was the best steak she has ever had.As usual the service was attentive without being over-bearing. It just so happens that we will be going back in 3 days for dinner with some friends, and we are looking forward to trying another special. Can't have too much of a good thing!"

"I think that this was one of the best meals I have ever had. The lobster tail was great and the wine list was very good also. I have not been to the Bristol for many years and it was everything I remembered it to be. Great food, good and knowledgeable staff and nice atomosphere. It is a real treat!

The only problem was when I did make the reservation and received my confirmation the restaurant did not have it in their system. The staff got us in anyway but that was the only problem we had."

"The dining experience at Bristol overall was okay for my wife and I. I had the four course meal and she had the filet and crabcakes. The meals tasted good, but the prices are too high. The lava cake was very bland, and all of the portions were very small. We were placed at a very small table with another couple very close to us. The waiter was very knowledgeable about wine and recommended a good one."

"The food was good but it was SO crowded. You had to stand in the buffet line several minutes before getting to the food. Then, when the waiter would remove the empty tray of food, he took several minutes to bring out a new one. If you wanted to wait, it would take too long for them to come out of the kitchen. That kept the line from flowing and thus the wait was even longer than it needed to be. It was not a good system."

"We were new in town and decided to try out the Bristol Seafood Grill; it was outstanding. I registered with OpenTable.com, made reservations and was pleasantly surprised that once arrived our table as requested was waiting. Our dining experience was excellent; the warm greeting, being shown promptly to our reserved table by the friendly hostess, and our very excellent server, Tony. He made us feel welcome, was very knowledgeable of the menu, several recommendations were made regarding wine and appetizers, then took our main course order. Other members of the staff provided water, biscuits, and refills promplty. Our main course arrived shortly and we were very pleased with the quality and freshness. We will certainly return."

"This was our first Visit to Bristol. My family really enjoyed the Thanksgiving feast& we will definitely be making a return visit to try their seafood, which I'm told is the best in the area. I have to compliment the staff of Bristol, as you not only were so kind to be open and work on Thanksgiving, serving us rather than spending time with your families(which you deserve!) You did a fantastic job accommodating the large amount of people who had made reservations! The Kitchen Staff did a great job in keeping the quality selections immediately refilled for customers coming through the line. Great Stuffing , Ham, Sweet Potatoes, Mash Potatoes etc/Desert the Bread Pudding with Rum Anglaise and the Pecan Pie were not to be missed! THANK YOU B"

"We went to the special Thanksgiving Day buffet. All of the familiar traditional Thanksgiving items were there. Unfortunately, they were all mediocre in taste and quality. Although I made reservations, the restaurant was over-crowded (nearly all the other restaurants in the area are closed for Thanksgiving Day) and it was very noisy. It was difficult to walk anywhere without zigzagging through a throng of people."

"The food was excellent and the service quite good. The servers were all pleasant and attentive.
My only complaint was that one waitress spoke and laughed so loudly conversation was stopped at our table as we couldn't hear each other."
