Lotus Farm to Table, a contemporary American restaurant, owned by Courtney Rozsas, is nestled within the lively atmosphere of State Street in Media, PA. The intimate 40-seat eatery is a BYOB that offers a casual and comfortable atmosphere through its soothing colors and dark woods. Chef Ryan Sulikowski has created a tasty menu of healthy dishes. Every dish is prepared from whole foods, easily digested and proportioned so that diners can enjoy multiple courses with lots of variety without feeling over extended. At lunch Lotus provides a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. Light soups and bright flavors will energize the diner for rest of the day. Floral teas that bloom as they brew in the clear glass teapots can enhance the mood and calm the nerves. At night, the serene décor accentuates the simplistic and unfussy menu that features the week"s freshest ingredients from local farms.
"The menu looked intriguing but we were all dissappointed. Mâché app lacked any flavor, duck entree tasty and nicely presented but undercooked. Desserts were delicious and interesting. Would try it again choosing more basic items perhaps."

"After we made reservations at Farm to Table, my wife read on-line reviews which were not good. We almost cancelled our reservation. However, we had four in our party and the food was very good--interesting items that were well prepared. Good salads with really nice fresh ingredients, and the main courses (trout, pork, rib-eye and lamb) were carefully prepared, nicely sauced and served hot. Two negatives---charging $2 for very mediocre and NOT warm bread, and the house sparkling water is not cold and kinda flat! But the positives far outweigh these minor, easily corrected negatives and any place with food this good--and that is a BYOB joint--is a great value. They should strive to maintain--and improve--current food quality and service."

"Wonderfully prepared locally sourced foods. This means that offerings change regularly, so if you want to order the same thing every time you visit, you will not be happy, but if you want inspired food, it's the place for you. Duck confit and local trout were big hits at our table!
Casual, friendly atmosphere. Not inexpensive, but reliably great food."

"One of us had the burger which was very good and an over-sized portion, while the other had the mache salad which was as the waitress said, an appetizer portion. The salad was not worth the money for the portion size and since the menu is limited I left hungry and still spent $45 for lunch for two."

"This is the second time that I have been to Lotus. First, a girlfriend took me and then I took my husband. The menu is very creative, putting together foods that aren't seen together. I love the way that the plate looks good coming out and you get to eat something you might not have thought of. I have had sea bass and scallops, my company has had pork belly and pork shank. The veggies were great with special little edible delights like crisp, dehydrated apples or kale adding a nice texture. I didn't have the ramp sorbet but I'm sure that it would have worked as did everything we were served. I have a feeling that this restaurant will be growing. There are not many places that you can find such culinary creativity. I will be returning"

"The flavored are fun They excel at uses seasoning and creating savory combinations. I usually don't want dessert but I would like to see them come up with a small bite dessert"

"Scallops were the best I ever had, striped bass also excellent. Was not crazy about the oysters served with dill pickle. The desert -- olive cake, a basil custard, sweet red wine reduction, and sorbet -- a fascinating combination."

"My husband and I went to Lotus for a birthday dinner and were delighted! He had the steak, I had a mache salad and salmon, and both were excellent. We brought our own wine. Even so, our dinner wasn't cheap, but the portions were plentiful and satisfying. The service was very good. Recommend."

"Another fine meal at one of Media's finest restaurants! Started with the flat bread which had a new combo of delicious toppings. For the main course, I chose the scallops and my wife had the Pennsylvania trout. Booth were excellent! We finished with a great ice cream and cake dessert brought to us by the gracious owner, Courtney! Musical entertainment came by way of the very talented Andrea Carlson. Great evening!"

"A great place to meet and catch up with friends who are like-minded foodies. The men enjoyed the specials of the day and the ladies agreed the poussin deserves to be a menu favorite. Lotus creates interesting combinations of sweet and savory in the desert selections. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. We were never rushed - and spent s couple of hours enjoying the excellent food and conversation."

"The food was ok, pretty good. The cheese plate was not good at all. 3 pieces of cheese for 15 bucks and two of the selections were horrible. The veal chop was good but it came out overcooked. Nothing to brag about, the concept of this restaurant is very cool. They are a overpriced but trendy is always overpriced. The menu was confusing,"

"Very enjoyable evening. There were 4 of us trying this restaurant for the 1st time. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The duck was cooked perfectly! I also tried my wife's trout and it was very tasty. Moist and flakey. We also split a couple of the deserts and they were excelent. Expecially the chocolate chip cookie!"

"Just tried Lotus Farm to Table for the first time, and I was very impressed with the quality of the food, the warm, friendly feel of the place, and the excellent service. In addition they had a talented blues guitar player performing that evening. One last note, my daughter, age 24, is a vegetarian, and she was impressed with the range of interesting choices."

"I think the food was very good and creative. It is a very simple, pleasant place to dine but nothing that was worth spending over $200.00. I feel it was way over priced."

"Lotus is one of the high points in Media PA for cuisine. Local producers are featured whenever possible. Experiences run from very good to excellent. Latest visit the Poisson was perfectly cooked and succulent. Ambiance is geared for quiet conversation with a curious blend of American Rustic and Oriental decor. Music playing is mainly acoustic Americana and low volume. Very relaxing. Interesting tea list. Service is pleasant, but sometimes slow. BYO."

"Another really fine meal at Lotus Farm to Table. We started with the Flatbread - basil roasted pears, charred fingerlings, Royal Blue, organic egg, sage-roasted garlic pesto. This has become one of our favorites, the toppings sometimes change, and the portion is very generous! My wife selected the Veal Chop Milanese, and I chose the Mustard Grilled Whole Poussin - sweet potato, black olive vin, arugula, black pepper. Both were excellent. The chicken was sweet and succulent. Dessert was amazing. And the coffee . . . another must have. Special hats off to proprietor Courtney Rozsas. She is always everywhere, doing everything! Singer Andrea Carlson completed our evening with lovely standards and original songs."

"Good choice for those who prefer that animal protein has center stage and the presence of vegetables is very modest (unfortunately, that's not us). We both chose a fish entree and both dishes were delicious - simple & done to perfection. This restaurant goes to lengths creating dishes/desserts having an uncommon combination of ingredients - for example, one dessert was a black olive, whipped marshmellow cake plus other ingredients. Mostly, it just seemed like they were trying too hard to be different."

"This is about our 4th visit to Lotus and we continue to be impressed. The menu is always innovative and creative. The dishes we have ordered have all been expertly prepared with great attention to detail. This time around I had seared duck breast with duck confit. It was amazing! Staff is always very friendly and well informed. We also enjoy the live music on weekends and the unique decor. I'm sure we will be back the next time we need a romantic date night close to home."

"We went to Lotus for first time - first it was cold outside so when the front door openned it was cold inside. It took over 2 hours for dinner and we came at 7 so the place was about half full (it was full by the time we left). The food was very good and fresh but for those prices we should had some vegitables on our plates (it is a fresh farm restaurant). Also no bread at our table - so we asked - they do not serve bread. It would have been nice way to have spent the time while waiting for the very slow kitchen to have enjoyed the bread and butter (another good idea for a farm fresh restaurant)."

"Very small portions; i went home and ate. I took a customer and his wife and was embarrassed by the amount of food served. I had a branzino. Besides having to filet it myself (not mentioned), it had no more than 4 ounces of "meat" on it - probably less."

"Another great evening at Lotus Farm to Table. Owner Courtney Rozsas is getting even more radiant . . . even in the middle of winter! We were joined by our journalist daughter who thoroughly enjoyed the Grass-fed Beef Burger, house bacon,Hummingbird, pickled mustard, red onion jam, greens. This is really a high quality steak burger and a real value. My better half made quick work of the striped bass and I ordered the scallop. I have been preparing and consuming the best scallops for years and my hat is off to Chef Ryan! Dessert was outstanding as was the waitstaff! All of this with the great sounds of Andrea Carlson. Just doesn't get much better!"
