We opened our first pizzeria in 2004 in the burgeoning Capitol Hill neighborhood. For months before we opened curious onlookers poked their heads in the former auto body shop, and outlandish rumors spread. One person saw a team of masons reportedly flown in from Naples to build a gargantuan wood-fired oven, someone heard that the bricks also came from Naples rich with Vesuvian ash, a reporter ran a story about a taxi driver leading our owner down a dark Neaopolitan street to meet a talented Pizzaiolo who was then whisked to an airport….
As it turns out almost all of the tall tales are true – on opening night people lined up for the authentic Neaopolitan pizza and since then our ovens have only gotten busier. Via Tribunali has been called "more authentic than the pizzerias of Naples," and even though that is a flattering exaggeration it is fair to say that our pizzerias have grown out of an almost unnatural passion for the food & wine of Southern Italy.
"I moved to Seattle from the East Coast a year and a half ago and this the first place I've found with good pizza. Fresh ingredients, Italian style, cooked perfectly. Filling, but feels light as far as pizza goes. Throw in the good service and a solid ambience, and I'll be back all summer in the open to the air front dining area."

"Yet again the folks at Via Tribunali delivered a first class evening for us. We were a small group and treated with their (semi) private dining room a the back of the restaurant... This dining space gave a perfect balance of privacy, yet still feeling part of the main restaurant where a live jazz band were playing. Adam the waiter, gave us great service all evening, answering any questions and giving us good recommendations on Pizzas to order! The food.... Probably the best Pizza you will have in Seattle... Pizza as it should be, almost as if you were eating in Italy! Ultra thin base, with the focus on real, fresh italian toppings... The house special is a must try.... Good selection of wine to go with your pizza too."

"And that purpose is to make you happy! We had a simple margherita pizza, the salami plate and house special salad. Divine. Simple food. Great fresh ingredients. The perfect place to get a casual yet lovely meal and not break the bank or your waistline.
Delicious! Will be going back again and again."

"The salads were of poor quality for the price and they didn't seem fresh. The pizzas were under cooked and very chewy like a soft taco. The quality was below normal."

"Wife got there first and had a drink I arrived shortly after and was seated but no service for at least 10+ minutes and had to ask for server. Wasn't in any hurry so it was no big deal other than the wait."

"I've had better service there. One of our waiters was great and the other seemed to be new or completely out of it, not sure which. And the drinks were bad. I sent my first one back. Food was good though, as always."

"cramped, noisey, salty, and pizza under cooked. On the plus side, staff were very friendly, if not super attentive at least nice when they did come to checkin"

"Despite several last minute changes and delays to our reservation, which the staff handled like champs, we were able to get our table and enjoy a wonderful meal!"

"The pizzas here are generally very good to excellent. The service was a bit spotty the night we were there. I do enjoy the look and vibrant feel of the restaurant and in the end, it is a great place for Neopolitan style pizza."

"Had wonderful food and service for a surprise birthday party with ten guests. Everything was perfect from start to finish. They even let us serve our special homemade birthday pie for a small fee. They brought it out with candles pn it too."

"I really like the pizza at Via Tribunali. We had a group of 5 and started with appetizers, the bruschetta was excellent, we had the tomato and ricotta, as well as the mushroom. Mozzarella with prosciutto was also good, and the house salad is delicious. The Via Tribunali special pizza was my least favorite (but still good), while the simple sausage with onion was everybody's favorite. It was my son's birthday, and they brought bhim the dessert pizza with nutella. A big hit with the teenagers. Good food, good service."
