Located in the heart of Buckhead, Cellar 56's delectable menu is complemented by the flavorful selection of wines. Every palate is accommodated with the menu broken into food categories to include Land, Sea, Garden, and Sweets, each priced $5-$7. Cellar 56 works with local farms and dairies to bring the best and freshest ingredients to the table. Many of the wine selections are sourced from boutique wineries on small allocation to bring Spectator rated 90+ wines to the consumer starting at $24 a bottle and by the glass at $3 half and $6 full. The remaining wine choices are available by the bottle and include many favorites at various pricing.
"I am generally a picky eater- no beef, pork, fried foods so most small plates pride themselves on having these on their menu. I was delighted that there were many different types of items and everything was coded about what it had in it- gluten free, fish, etc. The timing the food came out was quick and the items were very tasty. Our server knew extensively which wines she would recommend for which palate. I will definitely go back"

"We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, but were not seated until 10 minutes after. Not a big deal, but not a good start. Once seated, the waitstaff was slow to take drink orders and it took 20 minutes to receive the drinks. Delivery time for the food orders was better, but our first (negative) impressions had already been set. The waitstaff seemed inexperienced and more fit for a Chile's of TGI Friday's. Nevertheless, the food was good to very good. This seems most suited for grabbing a bite befor ehitting the Buckhead bar scene as opposed to an eveing in and of itself."

"Terrible service, and the restaurant was so loud that my fiancé and I couldn't even talk to each other over all the noise. We actually resorted to texting each other so that we could have a conversation. Service staff was inattentive, awkward, and even rude at times. It took 45 minutes for us to even be able to order! Staff obviously wasn't communicating with each other at all. And at one point, our waitress collected the dirty dishes from the group of diners next to us, and then set them on OUR table while asking us a question. Food was good, but not so good that it made up for the awful experience."

"Our monthly wine group decided to go here instead of doing it in home. We were not disappointed. Nice place, good service and good food. The good was nothing that I would rush back for but was all enjoyable that evening."

"The food was very good. The places was packed the night we went so they did not have enough waiters. We waited for ever in between dishes and had to remind the waiter for coffee. The wine was disappointing since they are called a wine bar. It is mediocre at best. The food was good and I do consider my self a foodie. The noise level was loud so it made it hard to talk. Definitely great for young people who are going to socialize. Would not recommend for a romantic date."

"A redeeming aspect of this place is its location has other nearby restaurants. Service was inferior. The small plate idea at this restaurant is curious and inadequate. A waste of time."

"Met friends for dinner. A meet-up group was meeting at the bar, and this place is really small, so it was really loud. Conversation was a bit difficult. However, the service was great. We had an energetic server who helped us through wine selections and finicky palettes. I'm a foodie, so everything was delightful to taste. Our first bite into the Krispy Kreme bread pudding demanded another round! Delish. Food to note included the pickled onions with the salads, the pork belly, and the mac and cheese was quite tasty.
I shall return."

"Really good wine selection, and a variety of yummy tapas (love the filet "mini-meal"). But the true finds of Cellar 56 are the desserts, particularly the S'mores and the Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding. Outstanding - my favorite desserts in all of Atlanta!"

"My friends and I were in town for the weekend and stopped at Celalr 56 for a late night snack after the Atlanta Hawks game. The food was amazing - the portion sizes were perfect and the taste of the various dishes were amazing. The wine selection was very extensive as well.
When I walked in, I was expecting the restaruant to be more represenative of a cellar, however, it is well decorated, open and airy and could be very romantic as well. I can't wait to go back in the summer time and sit outside in the "courtyard"."

"They give new meaning to the phrase small plates, portions are smaller thanks expected. Also, for being a wine bar, their staff doesn't have a lot of knowledge on wine."

"I had an amazing time! As soon as I got there, my table was ready and all of the staff was so friendly! The wine list was incredible and my server was so knowledgeable. The food is tapas style , so we ordered a few small plates which were all very reasonably priced and outstanding. The quality of food is out of this world. I highly recommend Cellar 56!"

"Good ambiance. Very loud though. If you come here, make it a point to sit in the lobby area. Nice fountain, and not 100 people crammed into a 30x30 room."
