These can all be enjoyed in the warm, cozy and comfortable atmosphere along with a wide variety of drinks from the full bar.
"The food was great. I had something new this time. The buffalo steak was amazing!!! The service was lacking this time. We must if had a new waitress. It wasn't even busy yet and it felt like we got lost in the rotation. Other than that the Woodman is a great place to dine!!"

"The venue is an interesting one but the drive from the Eastside (Redmond, Bellevue and Woodinville) isn't worth it for the steak. For the same or less money, you can enjoy a much tastier steak at Ruths Chris or Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue. If you use the Microsoft Prime Card, it's a reasonable value."

"Sat upstairs for the first time. I think I prefer it as it is lighter and more open than the main floor, 20' ceiling notwithstanding. All our meals were very good (all red meat) and there were no leftovers. Our excellent waiter was attentive and friendly; I've not been waited on by him in the past. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name."

"For my husband's birthday, we came to the Woodman because he loves ribs and The Woodman does an exceptional job with them. We also had the Scallops with yummy mushroom risotto, and the filet is also done perfectly. The waitress was well versed on the menu and didn't hesitate when we couldn't decide between two items. It's our go-to place for any occasion."

"We invited guests to the Woodman fully expecting an enjoyable experience but were very disappointed. When the waitress finally arrived at our table she seemed personable but once she had delivered the wine, we never saw her again until after the meal was served and the bill delivered! IMy beverage was never recieved. We recieved no bread until I asked the busboy who brought us a basket with 3 slices, promising to bring more but never did. Dinner was also delivered by someone other than our waitress. Plates were removed one by one rather than waiting until all had finished and a take out box was placed on the table while two of us were still eating! This was undoubtedly one of the worst examples of service I have endured anywhere!"

"Although we found the service great, the food was over priced for what we got. I really would have rated the food Fair-Good if that had been an option instead of just Good. The building itself was interesting because of it's age and decoration and also proximity to the historical railroad station and Snoqualmie Falls. Must say, they have a great video which made the dining experience a let down after our expectations were built up after viewing."

"The food was incredibly good! The service was great. We took friends for a birthday and they can't stop raving about the place. I had been there before (a number of times) and have always enjoyed their food, service and the location. I was glad that my friends enjoyed it as much as I do. Can't recommend it more highly."

"Brought my adult son here for his birthday lunch on Sat. Upon entering, the first thing that strikes you is the gorgeous wood stove (one of a kind) & crystal chandelier. The whole place is sizzling with atmosphere. The service, excellent with a very efficient & appropriately affable young man to wait on us. My son much enjoyed his delicious hot cider on this drizzly day, as well as his hot plate of chicken fried steak with "real" sausage gravy, country fries, & scrambled egg.. My hot plate of an authentic smoky-flavored filet mignon burger & rosemary fries was very tasty and more than filling. The price was very reasonable. Being situated near the train depot & museum is an added bonus. A surprisingly delightful experience. We will be back!"

"My group of four went to the Woodman on mothers day. I've probably been there a dozen times but the last two times I've been there has been a disappointment. The food was really just average. It's a little pricier than the places my wife and I usually dine at but use the Woodman for special occasions. We expect a little better food for the money. Not bad but just average."

"Whenever I hear a restaurant boast it has the "best" of anything, I cringe, because usually they don't live up to that expectation. So when the Woodman said they have the best ribs in the NW, I was wary. They proved me wrong! They have excellent smoked ribs. I've traveled all over the country, particularly in the SE where BBQ reigns, and their ribs stack up to the best in the country.
They also have an impressive wine menu containing many hard-to-find selections from top wineries.
That said, the interior lighting is really bad - too dark to see your plate or what you're eating. It's also quite loud, so not a place for romantic dinners. The service was average too.
But if you want great food, then put this on your bucket list."

"The food was good. However for $32 for the lowest price steak or prime rib, I would prefer not to be seated beside a group of young men eating burgers and discussing their exploits, when I have brought my 85 year old mother out for a nice dinner. The lack of table cloths is another indication that the price out classes the ambiance or the service. If you are going to be a saloon then you should have a saloon menu and pricing. If you are going to be upper class than the service, proximity to other tables and overall impression needs to be improved. Paper place-mat menus at these prices? Really? Would much rather spend my money at the Salish Lodge. Not worthy of a special occasion and overpriced for anything else."

"Our time at Woodman was great. We started with the Butter Clams, which were wonderful, huge amount of small clams in a very fine broth. We split a Delmontico Steak, done to perfection and still had room for the huge chocolate sundae. Our waitress was totally on top of things and was most pleasant. Looking forward to our next visit."

"We love the Woodman's food. When it first opened they were kind and caring to diners. The last two times we've been there, we've had a disinterested and somewhat rude waiter. Makes it hard to decide if we'll go back. We really enjoy their specials."

"We had a 730pm reservation, which we were 5 minutes late for. We were told it would be about 10-15 minutes. We were seated at 8pm which is what other people, who didn't have a reservation were told, half hour wait. Whats the point of making a reservation?!
As for the food, for $32, I'd like a bit more on my plate than a sirloin, half a cup of mashed potatoes and a cafeteria bowl of coleslaw. This is perhaps my husbands favorite restaurant, so we'll be back. But Woodman should take a look at Russel's, out in Bothell, menu and presentation. You pay the same price and get food that looks like they care about what it looks like on the plate and more of it."

"As always, the food was excellent. We are local to the area and always enjoy introducing "out of town" friends and family to this experience. For this visit, we had reservations but unfortunately, still waited 50 minutes to be seated. The delay did start our evening off on the wrong foot so to speak. Once seated, the experience blossomed into what we had expected. Great service, great food and wonderful interaction with close friends."

"We had a great experience at the Woodman for our 61st monthly "Boys Night Out".My brother-in-law, two sons -in-law and me. We went on Tuesday- All you can eat ribs night The ribs were terrific , the best we've had in some time. The receptionist was very friendly & helpful and the service was excellent. We definitely will return and our foursome traveled from Mercer Island, Kent and Everett so Snoqualmie was not the most convenient destination. However, the dining experience was well worth it. I have already recommended the Woodman to some of my other friends. A 10 for sure !!"

"Our male waiter was very abrupt and slow on checking on our table of 5. Drinks from the bar were waiting but didn’t make it to us for 10 minutes…not good. Waiter never checked on how the steaks were cooked, which were a little under cooked from our order. We’ve moved from eating at Jak’s Grill but after this last experience I think we’ll go back…Waiter was so bad!!"

"It's nice having a brunch restaurant in the Valley - good location & relaxing booths to sit in. Fresh squeezed OJ was wonderful & we liked the choice of both breakfast and lunch entrees. Service was a little over-attentive but maybe some guests like that. Would like to see a few healthier breakfast options - maybe a veggie frittata or omelette."

"Best ribs in Washington! This rustic historical building belies the fact that inside that kitchen is a chef who knows what's what. Everything we tried was sensational, from the wedge salad to the stack of onion rings to the delicious grilled artichoke. Choose anything, and I bet it will be delicious........our new favorite restaurant! D&D from Edmonds"

"We've been to the Woodman many times for appetizers, but this was our first experience for a sit down dinner. I ordered my steak medium- rare to medium. There was barely any pink to it, which was disappointing. For the price, it wasn't worth it. Our waitress was very friendly and the meal was well paced. We'll just stick to appetizers in the future."

"Loved the historic ambience with elk, cougar and lynx trophies on the wall. The chandelier in the entry way was fabulous. Even better was the food. We divided the Delmonico steak between the 2 of us for a $5 charge and it was plenty of food. Extensive wine list. My only complaint as that it was a little expensive, but well worth the extra $$$."

"We always enjoy the Woodman Lodge. The atmosphere is as intended a Woodsman's Hunting Lodge. You will have to enjoy a Frontier feel. Camielle was our waitress and her service and upbeat personality was wonderful. We love arriving in the bar area first, and enjoying the custom made bar and atmosphere. For dinner we had the Prime rib and the Cowboy steak. Both were cooked to order and excellent. I like that the potato and vegetables come with the meal. I find the wine list to reflect a good selection of Washington wines. In particular, I find their wine prices reasonable compared to other steak places in the area. Overall, we have been to this restaurant several times and we have never had a bad experience."

"The food was great. The waitress was very special but she didn't have control of her helpers...wisked the dishes away as soon as one of us looked finished. Too much water service.
I was disappointed that nothing could be special for the special Birthday I was giving. If I had more money I might come again but I would have to warn anyone, I mentioned the good food we had at The Woodman Lodge, it is very expensive.
P.S. The Hostess was very welcoming."

"Rustic, but well-kept historic building adjacent to train station in Snoqualmie. Pot-bellied stove and mounted animal trophies greet you at the door. Great selection of steaks, hearty salads, and local game (elk, trout, etc.). Impressive turn of the century bar. Breakfast is big portions and superb. Check out Snoqualmie Falls before or after. This is a nice little gem with consistently great quality food and service, when you want a great meal, but don't want to drop a couple hundred at the Salish Lodge."

"I've been to the Woodman several times and had at least a minimum of average service (most times it was exemplary) with the exception of this time. I was very disappointed with the service. After being seated at our table, my wife and I waited 20 minutes or longer just to get a glass of wine and a beer. Nobody welcomed us or acknowledged us.I was within two minutes of walking out. When our waiter arrived, there wasn't any apology for the wait. Even after we received our meals, our waiter only returned once which was disappointing as well. My wife and I were celebrating Valentine's Day on this Saturday and what should have been a special occasion, turned out to be an extreme disappointment!"

"I enjoyed my steak oscar. My wife liked her filet but not one of the best she's had. It was a bit cold at our table even though we were about 5 tables away from the door; maybe add stronger heating at the entrance to minimize this. As our restaurant of choice for our anniversary dinner, I was hoping a dessert or appetizer might be free but it wasn't."

"One of the worst dinning experiences I have had in recent memory. Took my brother out for a special birthday dinner with the hopes of creating a lasting memory... unfortunately this was the case. The service was horrible and they were out of what we had wanted on the menu. This place is more expensive than most steakhouses in downtown Seattle, but without the credibility. We will never go back. Suggestion: If you want to spend money on a nice dinner head to the Met."
