For over twenty-five years, Lovin' Oven Celebrations, Long Island's & Manhattan's premiere caterer, has built their reputation on superb cuisine, elegant locations and refined staff. Their newest venture, the elegant 21 Main Steakhouse, encompasses all these things. Set in the Plantation House at North Beach Plantation in North Myrtle Beach. Gerard Scollan and his brother Matthew have captured the glamor and service of an era gone by - with a modern twist. Gerard Scollan and Matthew Scollan have been in the Catering/Special events business for over twenty-five years and are the owners of Lovin' Oven Celebrations. Lovin' Oven is the food & beverage service provider at North Beach Plantation's elegant locations, including the Seaside Café, BLU, Poolside and the Events at North Beach. "We consider ourselves "food people" and weren't expecting much as far as dining was concerned when we booked our trip to Myrtle Beach. We chose 21 Main based on the great reviews we read, and were very glad we did! Our sushi roll was outstanding and the filet, scallops, and swordfish dishes were top notch. It was so nice to dine somewhere off the beaten path. In the middle of biker weekend, we enjoyed a quiet, wonderful meal. We will definitely be back."

"From the food to the service, everything was hands down the best meal I've had in a long time. Definitely start out with a roll of sushi or two! (It's probably not a bad idea to go just for the sushi.) The entrees were cooked perfectly, the sides were huge (definitely good for 2 or 3 people) and the wine/cocktail selection has something for every palate. I dressed up, as it was a special occasion, but you would not be out of place in jeans and a t-shirt. Overall, a wonderful place to have a nice dinner."

"We dined there twice while staying at North Beach. The steaks are great especially the filet mignon. We enjoyed the salads and creamed spinach also. Before sitting down to dinner, we sat at the bar and had their early bird drinks and appetizers. The wine was good and we enjoyed the calamari and mussels. It's a beautiful restaurant with a nice lively atmosphere and delicious food. A great place for dinner especially when staying at North Beach Plantation."

"I love menus that have so many good choices that you know you want to go back to sample more things. the steaks here were outstanding! Our dining group included a vegetarian member who didn't feel she was limited to just salad choices. The sushi was fresh and they custom build any roll you can think of. We will definitley be back!"

"Yes, our special occasion was ruined buy the crowd at the bar. We might as well have gone to a sports bar. It might not have been so noisy. Spent a fortune to have our dinner ruined by far too much noise. Don't see how you can call this an upscale restaurtant with all the noise you allow. Something is very wrong with this restaurant. Was there no management on scene? We eat out twice a day, every day and have eaten at much more upscale restaurants and we have never seen such a place, such a disappointment. We will not be back and will warn everyone we know to stay away. The owners should be ashamed."

"My husband and I went to 21 Main for a nicer dinner on vacation. Everything was perfect. Worth the price for every last bite. What is also good is if you wanted an unbelievable meal and did not have the extra to spend they have a great sushi bar and the appetizers are generous portions. We will definitely be back our next trip. We are from New England and had some of the best Seafood I have ever tasted"

"Great place to get a Prime steak. Sides and salads were a la carte but were enough to split and very good. Of course, the price is up there with other prime steakhouses but the food was excellent... steak not charred on the outside as with some other places. The room noise and ambiance could be a little more quiet and intimate for a romantic dinner and it probably would have been had we gone a little later in the evening. We were there early and it was still daylight and there seemed to be a lot of regulars/golfers at the bar speaking loudly which echoed throughout the two-story space. But the experience was an overall enjoyable one and the service was excellent. Highly recommend it if you are in the North Myrtle Beach/Barefoot area."

"This was my second visit, and while we absolutely loved the staff on both encounters, the food while good, just does not match their high expectations for pricing, especially on the Grand Strand. Sushi is about the only saving grace on this menu as it's priced decently, although the menu is overloaded with "krab" and tempura options in most all the rolls.
Calamari dish is quite poor, steaks are not holding a candle to high quality found in the area and some dishes such as lamb, duck and salmon just seem to have pretty rough flavor imbalances. Risotto was poor on 4 dishes at the table one night and salads and deserts offer a lackluster start and finish unfortunately. Truly wish the best, but not sure if this one will last."

"Went with my girl friend and parents while me and my gf were staying at the north beach plantation. Which the room there was unbelievable. The restaurant however i would not recommend to anyone. the waitress was very pleasant and it was not her fault. But we order a bottle of wine and then they said they were out of it. Then once we ordered apps before the meal my dad ordered the lobster bisque which they state as award wining on there menu. Then 10 min later the waitress comes back and they were actually out of that also. So dinner is going along okay and then we finshed the bottle of wine that we picked after they were out so we wanted another bottle. It turns out they were once again out of that wine. Sword fish was also very dry."

"We have now dined here 3 times in the past 2 months, 2 of those times were this past weekend while we were on vacation at North Beach Plantation. Hands down this restaurant has the best quality of food. We tried several things on the menu both times and everything was perfect. The cheese plate is delicious and huge, the sushi is fresh, salads are amazing, pork, ribs and steaks are cooked perfectly. We wish this restaurant wasn't 3 hours away! We can't wait to return when we are in the area again. It might be more expensive than some other restaurants in Myrtle Beach but its so worth it!"

"The food was very good and the decor is very nice. Unfortunately the service was terribly slow. Long gaps of waiting for the food to come out. It became annoying. Many tables of customers sitting and waiting for their meals. We had to flag down the waiter several times because he did not stop at our table to see if we needed anything. If they can get their slowness/service problem corrected then it will be a great place to eat. We'll try it again in the future but not right away."

"We went to this restaurant for Valentines Day which I booked about 2 months ago and this experience was so bad we will not return. We got to the restaurant at 7pm and left about 9.30 pm. It would have been later but my husband got up from the table to seek out one of the managers to pay the bill. The service was so slow and it took half an hour per course to bring the food. No apologies from management( they were all standing around upfront) or circulation through the customer tables to check on everything.
