"A terrific, modestly sized restaurant in a quiet neighborhood, with fantastic food and great service. Not too far from some of the major hotels, the Santa Fe Plaza and the Santa Fe Railyard. Food was seasonally right and excellently prepared. Servers were helpful and on the spot. This place has great ambiance and on the Saturday we were there had a very good crowd."

"The last night of Restaurant Week was quite busy for Azur. The manager greeting us and our server, Emily did a remarkable job given how busy the restaurant was. We told her we were not in a rush and she was able to pace our meal just right. The wine she recommended was excellent and the menu offered was a great value. The food arrived in a timely way and despite the high energy level in the room (which often makes diners feel rushed) we had a very enjoyable evening. The new menu options are wonderful especially the desserts. We will definitely be back."

"We ate there during winter so can't speak to outdoor dining, but the acoustics in the large room were a bit challenging, especially since we were seated at one of the tables along the banquette. If you are noise sensitive, ask for seating in smaller room. The food was tasty; we went on restaurant week and enjoyed the experience. The service was excellent."

"I expected more. We sat very close to the next table even though there were several other tables available the hostess refused to let us move. No one sat at those tables throughout our stay. She appeared hassled.
The calamari was not good. Advertised as sauté but quite cool and loaded with a heavy mayo type sauce filling the plate. The pork was stringy. The chicken sauce was very good but the chicken was very well done. Overall not great dining. We went during restaurant week. The waiter was attentive."

"Some restaurants should not participate in restaurant week. The staff doesn't like it. We booked for an early weekday seating. The greeter was pleasant, but already stressed. Our waitress definitely was not happy we were there . If you can't fake a smile or offer at least some unmeant pleasantries, you shouldn't be a server. We were rushed, yet had to search for service. We had to beg for water, which was never refilled. When we didn't order upon sitting down, we had to wait for our order to be taken. It took 3 people to get our waitress to order coffee. The whole table would have liked coffee, but she took one order and left before anyone could speak. 1 cup no refill. Restaurant is to introduce new people to your restaurant. You blew it."

"We ate at Azur during restaurant week. We were seated right away, but then we had to repeatedly ask for our waiter. Perhaps they need to hire more help during this busy time??? Anyway, the food made up for the service. There were four of us and everything from the appetizers to the main course to the desserts were delicious and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef!"

"The food we had during restaurant week, when you would expect the kitchen to be "putting out" to impress potential return custom, was only fair. One expected more of new chef Paul Huntzinger (sp?) who has been on the restaurant scene here for at least 20-25 years. I had a watery daube de boeuf, served in a bowl over polenta, which made it even blander. My wife and I agreed that the French pinot noir by the glass was one of the worst ever--thin, tannic and with little pinot noir flavor. This was surprising, given that the owner is French. Although the other red I tasted was good, one expects EVERY wine on the list to have been selected with care. In other words, you shouldn't be able to get a bad wine at a fine-dining restaurant."

"We ordered off the prefix menu and the table next to us got our appetizers after they sat down so we literally waited a half an hour to get our apps and while we were eating them a server (not ours) brought us our dinner. I had ordered the salmon and by the time I got to it it was already cold. The food was good, not excellent just good. The hostess that ended up being our waitress because the other staff failed to ever help us was great! She truly needs to be commended. Because of the mistakes our dinner was very long and to be honest I'm nor sure if we want to go back anytime soon."

"We went during Restaurant Week and it was quite busy. The menu was somewhat limited due to it being Restaurant Week, but it was still varied enough to allow for good choices. The service was a bit slow at first, but once our orders were taken everything came together. We all had the daube, and it was tasty and plentiful. We would have given Azur 5 stars, but two of the bowls that our food was served in were chipped and cracked. We will go back, but if served food with cracks or chips we will send that dish back."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Azur. The blue crab soup was outstanding. So were the french fries, hand cut and delicious. Very friendly service too. The week night three-course special is a real bargain. My husband had the mussels and he kept commenting on how good they were with the special spices in the broth. We will definitely go back."

"Overall, eating at Azur was a very positive experience.
However, it was 8:45, we were still finishing dessert and the owner/manager hurried us out by bringing the bill, without even asking if we wished for coffee. When we requested it, she was relieved to find that the coffee machine had not yet been cleaned and gave us a second rate cup of coffee. She kept saying "I have 10 more minutes of things to do..." "I have 5 more minutes of things to do..." then finally "I've had a long week." Basically, we were whisked out the door which was rather a let down after a nice meal.

"Our excitement with having the former chef/owner of Paul's take over Azur has been dampened. Our first experience was memorable less for the food which was good then for the complete breakdown of service. Like the tables around us, it took two hours to get our entrees. This time the food came faster, but was not as good. The lamb tangine was a grey uninteresting dish. The pork shank with polenta had little flavor. The pear tart dessert had a gummy crust bottom. What a disappointment."

"Lovely restaurant. Food was technically well prepared, but it lacked a certain panache, under spiced. My wife and I had lamb tangine and chicken breast, both needed a little kick. Apps were better-serrano ham croquettes were flavorful ad moist, their onion soup was different, i.e.no cheese and crouton, and good. Desserts were OK, neither was good enough tpo warrant ordering again. FInally, server miscounted change, gave me too much back - was surprised that i called him over and corrected the amount."

"This is a wonderful restaurant with eclectic food. My husband had the calves liver and I had the lamb tagine. Both were done to perfection.
Azur won the Souper Bowl the day we ate there for best creamy soup.
