Hiro 88 is an up-scale Pan-Asian restaurant in Omaha"s Old Market. Serving some of Omaha's best sushi along with award winning Chinese food we have something for everyone's palate. We offer an extensive selection of sake, wine, beer and liquor.
We can accommodate up to 26 diners in our private room and have experience with events ranging from rehearsal dinners to pharmaceutical presentations.
In addition to our dining room and lounge we also have two large patios. Both Patios have full dinner and drink service.

"Okay but not as good as I remembered from times past. Green beans were swimming in sauce and the bok choy was bland. Tons of noise when seated near a large group. Service was okay. LIke the spot better when it's quieter!"

"The other Hiro in Omaha feels like a completely different (and better) experience. The 88 seems like it is wholly run by 20 year olds and the promptness and quality of the service is lackluster. Our server corrected me twice on my Japanese pronouncement of the sake I ordered, twice. I wasn't aware she was from a humble origins in the foothills of Hokkaido, oh wait, she's not. Overall, just a mediocre experience with great food. Maybe just takeout next time."

"This was a first time sushi experience and we thouroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Our server easily explained the sushi ordering process so it was less intimidating for us sushi novices. Sunday is a great time to go since it's quiet and on street parking is a breeze. We will definately eat at Hiro's 88 again."

"Sushi was fresh and prepared well. We never left the appetizer menu and ate more tapas style - sampling the mix of yummy teasers they offered. It was very enjoyable. They had a reserved table ready for us and changed it upon my request to a more private table with no issue. Friendly service. Our waiter took back an item we didnt care of with no question."

"I went to Hiro 88 tonight after it being recommended by a friend. I could almost call this friend my best friend now. What an amazing dinner I had. I had been craving some great sashimi since arriving in the Omaha area, and I found it tonight, finally. Our dinner started out with the Spicy Yellowtail, and I knew everything was going to go great from there because the jalapeno was crispy. A crispy, fresh jalapeno is what can make or break a dish like that. I ordered the small sashimi combo and had a long-term craving finally fulfilled. "Hiro 88 was slightly disappointing but I feel like I have fairly high standards for food. My sushi was a little on the heavy side in terms of rice and I felt really bloated for quite some time afterwards. The other big let downs for me were that the tempura was soggy which led me to believe the oil it was fried in wasn't hot enough and that the calamari was very chewy. I wasn't very impressed with Hiro 88. Next time I want sushi, I'll try to fine some place that's quieter, more authentic and doesn't have such a huge multitude of things on the menu. I would rather a restaurant have a smaller menu of things that they do really well than a huge menu where everything is barely mediocre."

"We ordered a wonderful warm saki. Our server suggested we have it warmed up for our second serving. That was helpful.
We told our server we had a concert to get to so she could get our order in asap. She was pretty good at getting the order in and stopping back, even though she was pretty busy.
My seaweed salad and miso soup was very good. My 2 friends food was very nicely prepared, served and tasty. We would go back.
I was happy they had received the reservation as made. The servers and staff were very gracious."

"Hiro 88 is a new Old Market place that really impressed me. With the diverse menu of sushi, high-end Chinese dishes and wonderful apps, the restaurant will be a new stopping point for me when I'm in Omaha. Our business dinner was filling and full of flavor. The edamame was tender and steamy. My California roll app was fresh and flavorful. And my cedar planked salmon had a smokey zest and perfectly tender preparation."
