"Purchased a Travelzoo voucher for a group of 4, 3 course dinner plus glass of wine. It was definitely worth the amount I paid.
We loved the relaxed feel of this place and the decor, especially the mural, on ceiling. I must say that I had a problem reading the menu because of the lighting, but the candles on the table helped a little.
I definitely would return to try more dishes, because everything we ordered was great. We tried the red snapper, salmon, lamb chops, and veal milanese. They were all deliciously seasoned and perfectly cooked. The presentation of the appetizers, entrees and desserts were stunning. Service was well-timed and very friendly. Great wine list and affordable."

"The food here is always excellent.. It is clean and charming.
The food portions are not big but what you get is mouth watering!
My only complaint is that the bartenders are in and out before

"My husband and I have been looking for a good Italian restaurant, now that an old favorite in our area has closed. While Destino is further away, we plan to consider it our new neighborhood haunt and we are having dinner here again for the second time in a week.
Our server was extremely attentive; even though it was a busy Saturday night and there were several large parties, she was always there when we needed something. The food was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S and the prices were very reasonable. Our guest was a half hour late, and since there was no room at the bar for us to wait, they were more than gracious about seating us long before our party had arrived.
Destino is 3 for 3--great food, service and prices!!"

"We met friends who were in town for the weekend at Destino's recently and had a wonderful dinner. From the perfectly dressed tre colore salad to the large and tasty meatball appetizer to the delicious pasta bolognese everything was well prepared and presented. The service was attentive and professional. We would definitely go back if we are in that neighborhood."

"The chicken parm was excellent as was the meatball appetizer that easily could have been for 4 people - two HUGE meatballs with sauce and fresh shaved parmesan cheese. The penne a la vodka was a little more al dente than we would have preferred but even so it was pretty good."

"I have been to Destino three times now and I have nothing but good things to say.
Went to dinner here for the first time and was literally blown away. Went with my BF. We split the following: a bottle of Pinot grigio, Mario meatballs, mozzarella with tomato and basil, 2 day marinated pork chops, and mussels in a white wine sauce with pasta. It was all amazing. The food was more than enough for both of us and the bill was less than $120 before tip (almost unheard of for that quality of food). We were so excited about it I'm sure we scared the staff with our thank yous and compliments. Our favorites were the Mario meatballs, mozzarella, and pork chop. The pork chop was by far the best, HUGE piece of meat that was tender and juicy."

"We were a little mislead by the restaurant description boasting family style portions and not leaving hungry but the portions were quite small (appetizers & entrees are for individuals not to be shared). Good food but not grandma's style as the description stated. We were looking for a Carmine's type of place but got a bistro experience instead. Ambiance was very nice and noise level not bad but service could have been better. We arrived 10-15 minutes before our reservation time & 2 people from our party were parking but the wait staff seemed to want us to order ASAP and insisted on bring out our appetizers and entrees at the same time even though we asked if they could come out whenever they were ready (as they were made-weird)."

"The food and environment of this restaurant are both excellent. It is not a 'foodie' restaurant because of the traditional menu, but that is why my husband and I love it so much. Beautiful, traditional food in a traditionally romantic environment. We have usually really enjoyed the music (both the content and the noise level) but the last time we came the music was a bit louder and 'rowdier' than we liked - so we were a little disappointed. But, overall, great experience."

"On our last night in NYC we spent the evening at Destino. This was our third trip there. Our first trip was Tuesday night in December and they were very busy and very shorthanded. But the food was really good so we had to give it another try or two. The Monday evening were were their we opted to go upstairs. This time the service and food were both excellent. And after the other two couples left we had the upstairs to ourselves. The salads were great, as was the pasta and dessert."

"Really delicious food. I took my parents here for dinner as we were looking for more traditional Italian food (nothing fancy or fusion). It was what we were hoping for. The only thing is that it was really dark in the restaurant for my parents to see very well; they had to use their cell phones to read the menu. Other than that it was great."

I went here with a rue LALA deal. A friend who lives around the corner recommended the place and she wasn't wrong. Stuffed Artichoke and meat balls were amazing. Then I had the Black linguini with seafood . UNBELIVEABLE !!!! so good . The food was so good, I got another order to go !!.

Service was great. Not too much, not too little - food came right away (though it was a monday evening.
the light was dimed and the ambiance amazing ..The music was a great mix of oldies and romantic music..

"I was deeply conflicted as to whether to award 5 stars or 0 stars to DESTINO : If I awarded 5 stars, that would be accurate and fair; if I awarded 0 stars, it might keep the masses away, so I can have DESTINO all to myself ...LOL!!!! .
Decor: Perfect with booths on the side , and are great and really confortable. There is also a private room upstairs that is appropriate for anything from a small dinner party to a business meeting not to forget an amazing display of Art..
The staff is beyond amazing. The servers are friendly, down to earth, and genuinely care about your experience. The manager (I forget his name? ? sophyanee) will often come around to schmooze/check up on you"

"There isn't much left to say about this place except it s really a nice and cool place to hang out.. My friend and I each had the specials which was the Steak tartare and the Veal chop . It was incredible, and the portions were more than generous ,,

"I am never disapointed with Destinos. We can eat here often since the specials are always excellent and diversified. The appetizer was stuffed arichokes, my favorite and hard to find in any restaurant because they are time consuming to make. These were perfect. Another great meal and enjoyable evening at Destinos"

"My second trip to Destino and it was absolutely amazing. The service was excellent the food was outstanding, I showed up early and didn't have to wait at all to be seated. The staff took real good care of me and my friends. Compliments to the chef for an amazing dinner, I highly recommend Destino. They have the best meatballs in town. I will definitely come back to Destino more then once."

"My boyfriend and I paid a visit to Destino after reading positive reviews of the restaurant. However, we were left disappointed after having dinner tonight. Our waitress, albeit extremely friendly and receptive, brought us the wrong order. Furthermore, the food truly wasn't good. I can name a handful of restaurants that have way better food. We had a salad, clams, pasta, and dessert. The first three were just okay, and the dessert was mediocre. Furthermore, the bartender messed up my boyfriend's mojito, which could be one of the easiest drinks to make. The ambiance though is very good. With candles and fresh roses at each table, perhaps more attention should be paid towards making the food better rather than spicing up the decor."

"This was our first visit to this resturant and will not be the last.
The food was very good; however,the service was outstanding and the manager spectacular as a host and making sure that the clients needs were being attended to. Magement 102 at it's best.
This is on our go to list, for sure.
I was slightly dissapointed with the wine list, as I personally would have liked a more varied list of Italian wines. But as a business person, I understand what they offered and why, so it all works.
Don't hesitate to give this resturant an opportunity, it's worth it"

"My son and I live in the neighborhood, about a block away and we've passed this place a dozen times but never went in. However, we decided to take a chance and they were able to accommodate the two of us (although it was only Wednesday they were packed!) the food was delish and the service was speedy without being rushed. We will come back again for sure, our new neighborhood restaurant"

"Fit for foodies is right! I'm very picky about Italian food, mainly because I grew up in Italy, but overall I was very very impressed with destino. Great atmosphere, the decor almost makes you feel like you are in Italy. The good was above average, excellent excellent meatballs, and the penne alla vodka was perfect, not over drenched in vodka sauce like most places serve it. Overall, excellent food and service, great find"

"I've been to numerous restaurants and never have I found such a great combination of fast, thorough service and quality food. I was with a large group so we ordered a bunch of appetizer and specials to share, and the tuna tar tar was amazing, better than most sushi places. Excellent meatballs, as well. Our waitress was so sweet and funny and made some great recommendations. The reviews don't lie, this place is incredible."
