"Dropped by Charlotte's for the first time on Mother's Day. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Of course, the big draw is the food, and it did not disappoint. While the menu was more limited for the holiday, the quality of the food was excellent and the portion sizes were also worth the money. Mom had a shrimp cocktail that she enjoyed a lot, and jumbo fried shrimp that were larger than any I've seen outside of a fresh seafood shop, cooked to perfection. I had an order of freshly breaded mozza sticks that were HUGE, and a tasty chicken parmesan entree that was well-cooked and had the right amount of gravy and cheese. Great ambiance. We will most certainly be back to try the regular menu."

"Service was attentive in spite of a large dinner crowd for Mother's Day. Food arrived timely and appropriately warm; cooked and prepared well and the desserts were heavenly. Old fashioned VIctorian interior in the main dining room was nice. The ancillary rooms looked to be less attractive so be sure to ask for the main dining area. Foods we ordered were heavy on the cream sauces so if you don't like heavy cream sauces be careful. Crab cakes are the signature dish and didn't disappoint."

"My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Charlotte's. We usually go there for our Anniversary every year! Crab Cakes and Salmon dinners were excellent and there was enough to take home for the next day. Our waitress was new but her mentor helped her out and she did a great job! Overall, it was a pleasant evening at Charlotte's."

"Our party of seven was promptly seated in a private room. We were celebrating a birthday. An accordian player visited out table to play "Happy Birthday." The staff was very efficient and attentive. The food was very good with a wide variety of menu items from which to choose. Everyone enjoyed their meal and, as the portions are generous, there was plenty to take home. All around this was a very good dining experience and we will return again."

"Visited Charlotte's for Easter 2013 - cuisine was excellent! Our reservation was late in the day (last seating available); despite this fact, Charlotte's personnel was very warm and accomodating as we arrived and throughout the evening. Additionally, the staff honored impromptu requests for the Fisherman's seafood platter and fried calamari rings for both my husband and me even those neither of these items were listed on the "Easter menu"! Our son order the veal parmesan and was very pleased as well. We thank Charlotte's for a wonderful, memorable Easter!"

"This is the 2nd time in 6 wks that we have gone to Charlotte's. Out 1st experience was outstanding. This time we had a waiter whose English was not very good.
At the last minute, my niece needed to bring her 3 yr old. They were great to put his order in first and bring his food out as soon as it was ready.

I was disappointed in my crab cake which is a specialty at Charlotte's. It was dry and the lobster sauce was watery.
I normally tip 20%. Because we were a party of 8, Charlotte's policy is to add the tip. In most restaurants, this is 18%. Our server added 20%+ gratuity. When my niece questioned her bill, she was told it was the policy. Since she was trying to her little one home, she didn't make fuss."

"We enjoyed our experience at Charlottes the owner and chief couldn't do enough for us.He brought over to our table a tasting of his house special crab cake in lobster sauce. It had a nice tast and texture. We all orderd fish from the specials. The fish was fresh and well prepared. The portions were so generous we took home doggie bags. We would deffinitely go back."

"The food and service was good, but the room was extremely overcroweded. Everyone was jammed into the one dining room by the bar, while on the other side of the restaurant, the other dining room was completely empty. We felt like we were jammed in to the point of being able to hear our neighbor's conversations a little too easily. On top of it, this one waiter kept zipping around like his pants were on fire - it was very distracting and the room was too crowded for him to be doing that.
We used to frequent Charlotte's years ago - back in the early '80 and 90's and it doesn't appear the restaurant has been updated. It's very nice, but a little out of date. It seems to me you aren't drawing the younger crowds in anymore, only the seniors"

"In a word: "diner". The wait staff constantly had to tell the helper to give folks water, bread, etc. AND, they did it yelling at the top of their lungs. Yelling across the restaurant is not what I was expecting for the type of restaurant I thought that Charlotte's would be. The food was "good", but presentation suffered. Noise was annoying at best.
I saw someone say: "They call it Delaware County's best kept secret ..." - I am sorry, but it needs to stay a secret."

"I was there for Valentine's Day, so it may not be indicative of the style and quality of the restaurant on a regular night. Very crowded, but not too loud. The staff members were all attentive and managed the mass of people waiting well. Food was prepared and served banquet style. I think they garnish the plates with a ladle of butter. Food was ok- entrees were overdone and mediocre cuts of steak. Prices were disproportionately high for overall quality. I'm not entirely sure why this place gets high accolades, especially as a romantic joint. The walls are carpeted and the styling is dated. I may just be fifty years too young to fully appreciate Charlotte's."

This waitress said our waitress is from restaurant' s banquet staff only. After our soup. we waited and waited for our salad- we hand to ask host again to track down our salads- salads finally came 50 minutes after we initially sat down for dinner. and you guessed it!our meal came out 2 minutes later-Meals were great!"

"We have been coming many years and they have yet to disappoint us. We arrived for the early bird since the weather was threatening. We were amazed to see that this included soup, salad, choice of several entrees, dessert and coffee. Food was excellent and so was the service."

"There were 4 of us to celebrate a birthday. We haven't been to Charlotte's in a few years but we will be back again very soon. I highly recommend the Charlotte's Crab Cakes with lobster sauce and the Chicken Saltimbucca. Our server and bus boy were very attentive; our water glasses were never empty; we never had to wait for anything.
So many restaurants today serve everything separately. Charlotte's includes your choice of soup or salad and a side with your entree."
