"Reservation for 4 people 7 PM. We arrived ahead time, waited at the bar having drinks. On arrival we were told our table was the next available, the diners were finishing, in 5 minutes. 7.30 PM we found our table had been given others. Were told these people were VIP's. Asked to speak to the manager. He said the table was ours moving the people to the sister restaurant. Enzo had stuffed zucchini leaves brought to our table as an apology. We found the restaurant extremely noisy and had to raise our voices in order to hear each other. One of our party asked for the dish to be made with no butter, the waiter made a note, when the dish arrived we found it had butter."

"We love this place, a true trattoria atmosphere in the original Italian concept. Have come back several times, whenever we are in town with family business. The food is high quality and quite close to ingredient combinations such as we have experienced on our extensive travels in Italy. Staff is friendly and professional. The place is always busy so reservations are a must for dinner hours. It is also noisy but in a good way. We have also had lunch here several times and loved it just as much."

"We had seafood salad, Minestroni soup(fresh and excellent), Pasta with Boar ragu, pasta with Italian sausage, special pasta with Chicken and sundried tomate---all very good. Our favorite dessert is Nutela!

"Excellent menu choices, tasty, beautifully presented, original, fresh. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, non-intrusive yet attentive. Bar can be noisy even at the prime time for lunch. Music isn't necessary all the time. I'll be back, but I'll eat early. Next time I'll eat dessert."

"I am not a fan of large chains and when I see the owner working the room I have a better feeling about the restaurant. I have come several times and I always see them working the floor and greeting tables. You know the staff in the kitchen are not going to try to butcher grandma's recipes with a watchful eye. The noise level is a little loud for intimate dinners but a great, vibrant atmosphere great for small groups or for catching up. It is a nice mix of twenty somethings and forty pluses who are mostly child free but children would be fine (it is noisy but the wait time is a bit longer for your food). It isn't a big place and it is always bustling. I haven't had a bad meal. Modern vibe and friendly waitstaff try to make you happy."

"The food was terrific and fresh and service good. We went on a Thursday night-the place was hopping and so noisy it was hard to converse until it calmed down around 8:45. Dining outside in front might be quieter if that's important to you. I recommend this spot for it's excellent food."

"All around good experience. Food was solid. Service was just fair. Waitress did just the basics without any personality or attention to the details. Owner makes the rounds greeting and checking in but it felt more like an obligation than a genuine care about how things were actually going. That being said, it was a good dinner."

"I've eaten at Positano a couple of times and really like the food. It is very good and flavorful Italian food with creative menu items that are very tasty. The staff is energetic and friendly. It's a small place, so it's a bit crowded inside. Each time I've been there, there's either been something that is on the menu that is no longer available or different than listed, and twice now I've ordered a specific wine off the wine list, and they've substituted something else (more expensive) saying that they're out of my original choice. I keep going back, since these issues aren't significant enough to stop me from going there or miss out on their great food. I recommend giving it a try for either lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed."

"We went to Locanda Positano for the first time Valentine's Day for dinner. It was super crowded and extremely noisy. It feels very cramped. The food was okay. Not bad, not great. Just okay. I wouldn't necessarily try to talk someone out of going there, but I think there are better places in the area in the same price range. Having said all of that, it is clear from the groups in the restaurant that night that it enjoys a very strong following from repeate customers."

"friday nite 6pm reservation for 3 50+ women (myself and 2 friends). The pushy waiter kept trying to "sell" us the $$$ specials, which we declined in favor of a pretty good prosciutto pizza and a watery lasagna. As the evening wore on, the wait staff made us feel rushed to finish and leave. The same pushy waiter brought the bill and then came back 3 times at 5 minute intervals to see if we'd paid or not!! rude to the point of being "spoofy". One very nice waiter told us not to rush or hurry, to stay and enjoy. I will not be spending any more $$$ at Locanda Positano. I believe they are after a certain clientele and are rude to those who don't fit the criterion."

"This is a nice place for wine and appetizers...a cozy local place where you can talk to a friend. They don't rush you out and the voice level is very tolerable, even when they are busy. The place is owned and run by an Italian guy who is very friendly and committed to his establishment so if you want to support a local small business person, you should frequent his establishment."

"I was disappointed in the food. The beet salad was arugula with four beet slices; we expected many more beets! I had the pasta with pork ragu. It was most like a stewed pork in gravy on top of the noodles. Most disappointing. I tried my friend's squash gnocchi; it was good. My other friend had the veal and it was well prepared."

"We have had both lunch and dinner here and always a great experience. The food is outstanding, very close to what we have experienced when traveling extensively through Italy. Staff is attentive, place is always full so reservations necessary for dinner."
