"We are from Omaha and traveled to Des Moines to be with our family for Mother's Day. We have eaten at Mezzodi's several times. It has a good variety of food and it is a friendly open place to eat. Our service is normally excellent. This time is was good but felt as if the watress was not really wanting to work on Mother's Day. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. But some of what we ordered was forgot, we had to ask for refils on our drinks. Ketchup or hot sauce we had to get ourselves. Some small things but we had never had service like this at Mezzodi's before."

"Great stop after taking in a cinema experience at Fleur 4 Theatre. We enjoyed a leisurely meal, good service, quiet friendly/warm atmosphere. We didn't choose to order from the full dinner menu, but rather ate a light evening meal. Our salads and appetizers were tasty and we'll be back for a full dinner ."

"My husband and I went for a Valentine's Day dinner. I had made reservations for 6:45 PM through Open Table, but when we arrived early they got us right in. It was much appreciated since we had a movie date. We started with a glass of wine and the calamari appetizer, which was very good, and one of our favorites. For dinner, my husband had the mushroom risotto and I had the Mahi Mahi. Both dishes were delicious and hot, the salads were good, and the vegetable side was worthy of the entree. The wine pour was reasonable for the price. The waiter was adequate but unpolished, my one complaint since the restaurant changed hands, though I think there is some improvement. Still one of our favorite places to go for a decent meal at a fair price."

"The food was very good for the price. I enjoyed the dim lighting as well as the energetic atmosphere, which was much more energetic than I thought it would be. The only downfall would be the lack of personal service. The waitress serving our table was very rude and direct, almost telling us what and when to order. She acted as though we were just another table to serve during her shift. She never refilled our drinks unless I flagged her down. Perhaps I just was unlucky and had a new/inexperienced waitress. Even so, I would definitely recommend Mezozodi's to a friend."
