"This was our 5th dinner at Casta Diva. Each time we've been accompanied by couples that were very different from each other. Yet, they all had very enjoyable experiences. The food, atmosphere, service and personal touch of the owner/chef (Steve) combined with the fact that you can actually have conversations while dining, provides a very enjoyable time with best friends after spending a great day appreciating Philadelphia. The food is inspired from Steve's South Philadelphia roots, is cooked to order with impeccable preparation and service. Fun, comfortable and delicious."

"The artichoke salad was delicate and delicious. My Veal ragu pasta was flavorful. The cherry vanilla ice cream was creamy but lacked bing cherry flavor. My partner's diner was served with the metal form around her pasta dish, when the main chief saw the mistake he took the entrée off of the check, which was a nice but unnecessary gesture."

"My friends and I were visiting Philadelphia and stopped by Casta Diva based on all the positive Yelp reviews. The food was delicious, but the service was nightmarishly poor. Our dinner didn't come for an hour, and the server then got upset with us for taking too long. It was really shocking. We didn't complain or say a bad word; we just continued our meal--and at a normal pace. She then came over to refill water glasses, but didn't it from a foot up, splashing water over the table and one of our guests. She then did the same thing at the other end of the table. By then, we thought we might be in some hidden camera television show. We ordered dessert, and she slapped the check down on the table, saying we'd taken too long."

"I have been to this restaurant many times. The food is always outstanding. I've never had better Italian-influence food (and I've eaten at Vetri's twice)!! I think all of the food is made on the premises. Everything from the bread through the desserts is wonderful. One thing that makes this place so wonderful is the lack of stuffiness and over-attention that one can experience at the higher priced restaurants with the same quality food. This is a definitely a special occasion restaurant. I go there for birthdays, anniversaries and with special friends and family."

"We were seated in the back of the restaurant which was not nearly as nice as being in the front, hence the ambiance rating. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the place was generally quite lovely."
