The downtown grill is an English Steakhouse that specializes in prime cut Black Angus steaks, fresh pasta dishes, fish fillets and decadent desserts. This fine dining restaurant also features a well stocked bar that includes a vast array of scotches and bourbons. We also offer an extensive wine list by the glass or by the bottle and a large oak cigar humidor.
"We went to Downtown Grill for our anniversary, after several recommendations from co workers to try the Macon staple. It was a great experience. The wine and beer lists were very extensive. Our server was great and he was very knowledgeable of the menu. I had the goat cheese and cranberry stuffed filet. My wife had the blue cheese stuffed filet. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and the best steaks we have had in Macon. Sides were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the chocolate chip bread pudding.
Not sure about the negative reviews about the restaurant. Most of them seem to be from large groups. I don't see why large groups would go here anyway.
Give it a try, I know we will definitely be back!"

"I can see where some of the negative reviews came from. You do enter through the bar (humidor), but cannot smell the smoke in the dining area. The food was outstanding! I had the Bleu stuffed Filet and found it absolutely perfect. I will say that it was $35, but I wasn't looking to save money on the meal. The bar has a great wine and whiskey selection and the bartenders mixed me a couple of perfect Manhattens. If you're looking for a lot of food for cheap...please go somewhere else and save the bad review. I have never eaten at a perfect restaurant, but I have had a lot of bad expensive food. I will happily make the 25 minute drive from Warner Robins to enjoy this little gem...the food and staff were great!!!"

"Food was great, although the look and feel of the place needs updating. The food needs better plating. I take pics of great looking dishes and post. I didn't do that here. Food was great!! But I was disappointed in how it looked. Silly, but at these prices I would have expected better presentation. Overall it was good and I'd come back."

"It was super busy since there was a concert close by that day but I hate when somebody forgets about me and my party. We waited longer than we should have because they forgot to seat us but it's a perennial favorite of ours so we would of course go back."

"The food was superb! The pork tenderloin was incredibly tender & had just the right amount of seasoning! Delicious! My only complaint was how long it took for dinner. We had a 5:30 reservation and didn't get our check until after 7. Our server didn't seem to be as attentive as some of the others. Overall though, it was a great dining experience!"
