"The food was very good. I had the scallops and they were delicious. The rest of my party enjoyed their macaroni and cheese very much (each person had a different variety). We had a child with us and they were very nice to him."

"We dine at Zingerman's almost weekly. This experience was nothing to brag about. Our server was mediocre at best. The food was excellent as usual. We made reservations and requested not to be seated on the patio.....they automatically took us to the patio. We had to ask for a table inside. We were given a table near high traffic. Not the best experience for a Father's Day meal. So this time I have to say Zingerman's dropped the ball. Probably won't dine there for Father's Day again."

"We were a group coming from Germany, New York, California, Clarkston and East Lansing. Everyone enjoyed the food and service. Noise level got a little bit much, would be nice if there were a quieter room option...though maybe we were in it!"

"I can't believe I live in Ann Arbor and have never been here before. Such a fun place! It is not "fast food", you need to be ready to have a meal. It is "American" food in the best way possible. They have a great microbrew selection; too many to try at one sitting. And who goes out to get barbeque any more? Well, I do, now that I tasted theirs! Portions are very generous, so if you live locally plan to bring some home for another meal. If you don't like barbecue (or are watching your cholesterol) they do have other choices. My husband had the Michigan whitefish and enjoyed that as well."

"Zingerman's Roadhouse has a breakfast menu on Sundays that they refer to as brunch. Our meals were just OK for the price. Two of us had the French toast and two of us had the eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. The egg choice was remarkably unseasoned and bland. I have had much better breakfasts for half the price at other comparable restaurants. The coffee was very good, but as a foodie, I was hoping the food would have been distinctive , and it was not : ("

"Great food as always. Ever better service from Amy. Very attentive. Good understanding of gluten allergies. Followed up on a question about Zingerman's new gluten free bread. The question required her to contact Zingerman's Bakehouse and she did that even though her section was very busy. I hope I sit in Amy's section next time I go to Zingerman's Road House."

"We've loved Zingerman's for breakfast for a few years now but had never gone for dinner. With a milestone anniversary coming up, wedecided to finally give them a try for their dinner menu. Not great :( the food is crazy expensive ($20 for a vegetarian plate of Mac and cheese, polenta, and collard greens) and mediocre at best. Simple things, like seasoning, are forgotten. The greens my husband and I got were so bland we could barely eat them. The kids menu is great and that was the best food we got! They are very family friendly, even on a Friday night in a college town. if you feel inclined to give Zingermans a try, go for breakfast/ brunch. Still a bit expensive but with every penny!"

"The food was delicious as always, service was excellent, and atmosphere was fun and energetic as usual. I do wish that I could make a reservation specifically for outdoor seating though. "Food was pretty good. Service was fairly quick and consistent. I had the haddock with the coffee spice rub. The flavor was good but I didn't get much coffee flavor. My boyfriend had the BBQ pork entree which was pretty tasty. We had the donut sundae which was pretty unique. Anything fried always helps."

"As always, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Look for Corman Farms produce and treats like Zingerman's Goat Cheese in appetizers and entrees. One problem we have with the menu is exorbitant up-charges to switch out side dishes. I am lactose-intolerant so I avoid the mashed potatoes or mac/cheese sides. To switch out my mashed potatoes for asparagus on my entree was $5.50. Fairly outrageous for a menu that has high price-point to start."

"We came here because friends from Ann Arbor highly recommended it. I made reservations and we got a table on Sunday around 10:30, no problem. Service was excellent from the time we enter until we left. Food wise, we ordered the chocolate bacon gravy biscuits and corn beef hash. The chocolate bacon gravy biscuits were cold. I asked the waitress and she said they are served at room temperature. It tasted as though it had been refrigerator and was colder than room temperature. I ordered eggs over hard to supplement the cold food. The eggs were okay, but too buttery for my taste. The corn beef hash was an attempt at New American and it wasn't very hearty, which is what corn beef hash reminds us of."

"Comfort food and classic cocktails are my favorite things about Zingerman's. I try to get there whenever I visit Ann Arbor. This visit, I was accompanied by my younger adult son so we all enjoyed it through the eyes of someone experiencing it for the first time. We tried old standbys - barbecue and mac and cheese, and some excellent seafood - coffee spice rubbed mahi mahi, and scallops. I've never been disappointed at Zingerman's and highly recommend it."

"I went with a group of 4, and all of us found our food to be underwhelming (and in some cases not even that positive). We had two of the mac n cheese dishes and two chicken dishes. We also had to wait a very long time. We left the restaurant 2 hours after we entered (8-10pm on a Sunday). We did find the sweet potato fries appetizer to be delicious, but otherwise we paid way to much for food we didn't really enjoy. Sorry, but I think this place may be overrated."

"My fiance and I went here for his 30th birthday. He loves good BBQ. Everything about our dinner was perfect. Our waitress was one of the best that I've ever had at any restaurant. The food was delicious and we had two delicious wines to pair with the BBQ. Our experience was perfect. It was a Saturday night, so the place was totally packed, so be prepared for a crowd if you go on a weekend."

"Having not dined at ZR for a while, we decided to go back and give it a try. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, we were seated right at the entrance and unfortunately the wait staff traffic was distracting and bumped our chairs frequently. Food was served timely. I found the barbeque pork and beef tasty but very fatty with large pieces of skin and fat. I had the mac and cheese instead of mashed potatoes and there was puddles of oil on my plate from the cheese. The fried chicken was better than KFC but still not as good as Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House in Savannah. Ah, really good fried chicken in A2 is still a dream. Mushroom soup was very good. Pot Bacon soup was very thick. Desserts nice espec to have a $2 taste avail."

"Lauren, our waitress, was friendly, helpful, patient, and all-around delightful. She responded to our every request. The grilled salmon was delicious. This is an excellent place of dining for special occasions (spelled with one "s" and not two, as on your form above). The restaurant was noisy and too warm."

"My wife and I have been coming to Zingerman's Roadhouse almost every weekend for the past year and a half. Alas, we are moving back to Virginia this week, so we paid our last visit to the Roadhouse yesterday. The Carolina White Grits that I love so much were not on the menu for Sunday, so I had an almost equally delicious 'last' meal -- the buttermilk chicken. My wife had one of her usuals as well...the Lox and Bagels. Our waitress Sharon made sure our final weekly outing to Zingerman's was an enjoyable experience."

"The food was good. I selected the rainbow trout, blackened. I had two cocktails while I was there. The Sazerac was good, though it should have been made with Sazerac rye whiskey. The Mai Tai was odd. It was way too sour. The rice pudding for dessert was very tasty."

"We came with 4 adults, a 6 year old, and a 1 1/2 year old - the waiter took great care of all of us. He seemed to be spread a little thin -some things seems to be forgotten or slower than usual, but when we really needed something, we were well taken care of.
The food, as usual, was just right."
